It all started when we tried to check in and the young guy told us that we needed a hard copy reservation from Expedia; this was odd to us. After contacting Expedia he finally found our reservation in his system. He was absolutely clueless, rude and never once answered the phone which rang nonstop. We were asked for a $40 cash deposit; this was another odd thing since what can $40 cover in damages? Well the $40 cash deposit is only extra tax free money in their pockets because in a few days when we checked out at 5AM to be at the airport for 6AM; the staff working that morning told me to return at 7AM when the office opened, even though he had the money in the draw with other deposits. I called the office about my deposit when I landed in NJ; they said I can only get it back in person. I called numerous times for the manager who was never available and never once returned my calls. Expedia even tried to contact them. What a SCAM!!||The people/quests hanging around inside the lobby and around the property appeared very sketchy. I was constantly looking over my shoulder and very aware of my surroundings, especially in the evenings.||It also appears that this “hotel” if you can call it one; has 90 percent full time residence; since the balconies were cluttered with personal items/junk that has been there for some time. I’m guessing this place is used for state funded low income housing. BTW, a school bus pulls into the parking lot every morning.||Getting back to our stay; the room smelled like cigarettes and mold even thou we requested a nonsmoking room. I’m not sure how old those photos are, but let me warn everyone that the place is a dump. The furniture is falling apart, bed sheets with stains, doors that barely lock, TV with three channels, poor Wi-Fi that drops out every few minutes if you can connect. ||I am surprised that Expedia would even list this dump, it makes...

Where to start...

*the cops were parked outside doing an investigation so that should have been a red flag. According to the dude inside, one of the guests had a warrant.

*the building's got holes everywhere and one of the steps on the stairs is held up by two rocks at a funny slant. This place looks like where they do drug deals, which must explain the cops. Don't even get me started on the stains and stuff. Which ones are soda, which ones are vomit?

Also, after the police incident last night, there was STILL broken glass everywhere. No, I don't think it was still a crime scene because the cops had up and left after last night.

*the free breakfast is a joke. Just bread, waffles, and cereal. The wafflemaker looks like it gets cleaned once a month and nothing looks trustworthy.

*the rooms are filthy and poorly furnished. The carpet was peeling and stained. My toilet had a busted seat and in order to make the hair dryer work, I had to jimmy the (also filthy) power plug until it cracked open THEN the darn thing turned on. Also, no comforters on the beds. I called housekeeping for extras, must've slipped thier minds.

*my keycard failed to work on night two and after getting that fixed, the door barely wanted to open. Right when all the sketchy nieghbors decided it was time for thier smoke break too.

*this place cost more than Motel 6 and I daresay the last Motel 6 I stayed at had better service and furnishing. That's absurd. 49.99 rooms, my foot.

*the staff clearly don't care about thier job and frankly, I don't blame the guy. If I was a young 20 something working nights (weekend nights) in a dump like this, I'd struggle to give a...

This is by far one of the worst hotels i have ever stayed in. First off, the guy who works nights is a heroin junkie. How do i know? Just look at the needle marks and tracks going up his arms.

The room they put me in was bullshit. The door didnt lock. Phone didnt work. Lamp didnt work. There was mold spores growing on the bathroom wall. The room smelt like a French hooker. Microwave and refrigerator didnt work. Keep in mind, i got 4 kids and the whife with me. I complain to the front desk and they switched me rooms with no problem. They moved me right next door. Less than two hours later they tried putting a family in the same room. They had 4 kids as well.

Then come 3 am and im told i need to leave the property. " curfew is midnight" the fat bastard told me, as i was in my boxers, outside smoking a cigarette. I informed him this was my room and this is my family in here sleeping. He was being loud and obnoxious as my kids where trying to sleep. He insisted that i leave the property before he calls the police. I complied I took a ride to Walmart and then came right back I proceeded to sneak into my hotel room that I paid for.

The next afternoon i got a knock at the door. "Who must it be?" I was thinking "Im not expecting anyone." I answered the door to a man i never seen before.

He said to me "do you know where to get any heroin, do you have any heroin can I have $20 from you?" He ran away befor i could beat his ass.

Im currently working with corporate to ge my money back.

I will sleep on a bench before i come to the...

We came back and really enjoyed our stay at the Victory Inn, They are close to getting five stars, it would only take a little bit more maintenance to upgrade my review. The maids do a terrific job, and sometimes work well into the evening finishing the chores. As usual they are worth a tip after dropping by and changing the sheets and towels. When we first rented the room it needed a few quick fixes; first the refrigerator was DOA and there was no phone either, but the team pulled together and got us a new refrigerator, and a beaten up old phone, but it worked, so complaints here. They put out a breakfast offering with coffee, cold cereal with milk, and waffles that you prepare yourself. I couldn't complain; but one visitor did. He wanted bagels with lox and crème cheese, along with fresh orange juice. I spoke up and mentioned the price for fresh lox is around $20.00 per pound, and asked why would you expect them to just give it away with a free breakfast.

So last minute trip with children will not recommend I came here blind but it was what I could afford saw an older gentleman hanging out in the front by the office quickly realized he works here he was friendly young woman in the office was ok nothing special but after we checked in had to go around the building next to an empty parking lot on the other side of the fence people doing donuts and recking havocs and all kinds of people with their doors coming in and out of the rooms smoking pot walking around and once in the room front door doesn’t close all the way there’s a gap where you can see outside room looks pretty clean bathroom same window doesn’t have a lock on it and door looks like they busted it open, bathroom door doesn’t close am disappointed to be honest I was hoping for a little bit better!

I have lived at Victory Inn Suites for about a year and I love it. The rooms are spacious and clean. They come with internet and cable TV provided, the beds are clean and comfortable. On top of all that, the people here are very friendly and willing to help in any way that they can, while also providing a safe and secure environment to live in. They have gaited security that keeps all non residents out of the facility. Once they have provided a safe environment they go on to provide a great pool for fun in the sun and a laundry room that comes in very handy. And it is located right between the 17 and the 51 giving you quick access to any part of the city. It is a great place to stay or live, I recommend it highly to anyone looking for a room or a place to live.
