I just called at 1020am. I called to inquire about bow things work up there. The lady on the phone was so rude. I really didnt even know what to ask..So I explain ive never been there and could she explain how do things work up there. She says w such a rude tone as if i was bothering her "What do you mean how do things work?" I was startled by her tone..kind of caused me to stutter asking "Well what goes on on what do you do there? She again rudely says.."What do you mean what do we do up here?" I didnt know what to ask. So i ask do you bet there and I asked her how does betting work? She says what do u mean how does betting works?. I was confused having never been here, yet i was starting to feel she was a racist due to me having to pull teeth to get anything out her as far as an answer. So to prove my point i put her on speaker so the room full of horseowners can hear her and then i asked the question the same way. She reluctantly explains, in a rude tone and so unprofessional w a deep sigh before starting that "all u gotta do is pick a horse go to the counter and bet." We had a few more questions but she was so rude that i had had enough of her rude tone and and said to her that she was rude as hell. Then i hung up. Then i called back to ask to speak to a manager and this obnoxious woman had the nerve to both deny me a manager and try to chastize me about saying shes rude as hell. I was floored. Well to bad for her im not just any1..im a letterwriter. And im gonna file a report w the BBB amongst other things. If i dont get an apology or she is not reprimanded. Allowing your company in ny community to be represented by someone as such is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. So you guys will hear from me monday if i dont hear from you first. We are money spenders we would have spent way more than what you would have had to pay out to her in her young hourly wage. A person like her makes no business sense. How is she the first contact when calling. She needs to be fired. O stars. ...

Horse racing in Arizona is getting close to extinction. Went to Turf Paradise this morning for simulcasting, Sunday 1/02/2022 n never have I seen such a joke, nasty, dirty place. Was told by a couple patrons they didn't clean from the Saturday racing because its the clean up crews day off. Old tickets, programs, racing forms, cups laying everywhere on the floor n tables. It was like a refrigerator you had to go outside and warm up. No hot water in restroom to wash your hands n if you did you cant dry your hands. You wouldn't dare use the toilets. Tile on ceiling many places about to fall on floor. Im a huge racing fan n my first thought was they need to shut this place down but I know if theres no live racing then there wont be OTBs since they have to have a live meet. Been to many tracks around the country n never seen such a nasty place. With the value of the land the track itself cant survive when no money is put back in it. I understand the economics it needs casino infusion which it wont ever get in Az n we all know why. The end is near n so sad from when I first saw this...

Needs to be updated. Fresh paint. Update the inside too shhesh. I'm totally bummed out this place isn't taking advantage of its capabilities. This could so easily be like the clubhouse of this area and help turn this community around. This place could have an event coordinator (I'll do it even) and put together events pulling in people all over the valley and all ages. Make it the place to be. It wouldn't be hard, in fact it would be easy. Making this place even more money. I'm aware they're doing just fine but I guess that's where my dissatisfaction comes from.. give back... make the community love your place of business. (Message me, I've got a note book full of ideas specifically for this place.. I'll even hand it over if you promise to give it honest consideration.. it could change...

This track is old, made in 1956. The grandstand could use an update as many of the chairs are falling apart. The restrooms are in disrepair. Admission is fairly cheap, only $3 for adults. There are fairly long waits between races. When they run events, they do have activities for kids. Which is good, because of the long waits between races. There are plenty of seats in the grandstands as they rarely get filled to capacity. The food prices are on par with amusement parks. Which makes up for the cheap admission. If you go on an event day, it will take about 4 hours from the gate open time to when the event starts. So you will probably be buying food.

We've been busting Turf Paradise for years and, unfortunately, it feels it's deteriorated quite a bit. When we went yesterday the weather wasn't good so we sat in the clubhouse and the atmosphere is much better in that area. There is bar-type food available, drinks, betting and bathrooms in the area. Each table has its own screen to watch the horses more closely. The bathrooms are clean but everything in Turf Paradise is tired looking. They're building a brand new sports book inside so I'm hoping this will lead to more updates in the other common areas because we really do enjoy going here.
