Embassy Suites Event Center — Hotel in Plainfield

The Event Center building is a nice facility. Although it would be nice if the facility provider would attend to details like emptying the paper towel trash from the restrooms rather than leaving it to overflow onto the floor within the first hour of the show. Not up to the standards one would expect from a Hilton/ Embassy operation. I went there to see the Auto Racing Memorabilia Show The show is very good, and the venders are great. but the size is of the show is too big for the venue. Merchandise sales is the point of the show the walk areas are crowded and congested, as visitors stop and stand to look at the memorabilia items. The parking lot is beyond inadequate to meet the demands for people attending the show. Within an hour of the show starting, the parking area was full beyond capacity. People were double parking in the driving lanes, making navigation in the lot nearly impossible and dangerous for people driving and pedestrians in the lot I have attended this show pre and post COVID and the above issues have occurred each time. The organizers should take a hard look at finding a venue that has more event floor space and parking that is not an uncontrolled nightmare. The Embassy Suites Event Center provides space for elaborate, elevated experiences. I attended a conference at the facility June 2025. There are meeting rooms and intentional relaxation stations throughout the building. The landscaping is beautiful. There is a beautiful water fountain outside. There are gathering spaces near the windows so that you can enjoy the beautiful exterior scenery. There are beautiful water fountains inside by the main lobby entrance.
