My stay at the Extended Stay America at 1401 W McNab Road, Pompano, has been nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped foot into the hotel, I was greeted with warmth and genuine kindness that made me feel instantly at home. Starting each day with a friendly smile from Taylor or Karla at the front desk has been a delightful perk. Our quick chats always start my day off on a positive note. The staff at this hotel truly go above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction. Nini and LaLa are standout employees who exemplify the hotel’s commitment to excellent service. Nini’s helpful and accommodating nature is truly admirable, while LaLa's assertiveness and drive are inspiring. The cleanliness of the hotel is impeccable, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. I've felt safe and secure throughout my stay. I recently experienced the joy of my bank mistaking my booking as a suspicious transaction which resulted in my bank locking my account. The staff's patience and understanding during this stressful time was exactly what I needed so that I could work my way through that problem with as little stress as possible. I've never had to ask for something more than once, and their efficiency in addressing my needs has been outstanding. While the hotel is da bomb diggy in many ways, I do believe there's room for improvement. They need to step they breakfast game all the way up. It's not that instant oatmeal, nutri-grain bars, sad little muffins and coffee won't do the job some mornings. What I am saying is it will not break the bank to put a waffle iron out there with a little juice and a protein. I'm not looking for them to be serving up poached eggs, lox and croissants. But, at it's current state, that is not breakfast. That is whatever you call the meal that comes between a midnight snack and your actual breakfast. That being said, it's a minor complaint compared to the overall positive experience I've had I wholeheartedly recommend the Extended Stay America Cypress Creek. The staff’s kindness, the hotel's cleanliness, and the spacious rooms make it an ideal place to stay.

I was disappointed after 48 hours. I tried to cancel my reservation because. The buyers finance fell through on selling my house They told me that I could cancel. But they were gonna charge me full price. Because supposedly I bought on a special price. Which nowhere did it say a special price? But I figured I would just make a long weekend out of it. And lay out in the Sun and have my son play in the pool. And relax. But when I got to the hotel, the pool was green slimy mosquito written. And The whole hotel smelt like garbage like a dumpster no joke . I was very disappointed about the pool. So we went to the room and the key didn't work. The 3 days that we stayed there every time we went out the room. The key did not work. It was very frustrating then. The internet barely worked so since my son couldn't play in the pool. Because it was disgusting, he tried to play his video game which was unable to do since the internet. Only had one bar. Then I tried to shower. But the water pressure was so bad that I did not feel clean after getting out. I could not wash my hands in the sink because the water pressure was so bad. One night my son shut the bathroom door and couldn't get out of the bathroom. Because the door would not open. The healthy breakfast is a neutra grain bar that is Expired and a muffin that is hard. The coffee Creamer which was liquid set on the counter for hours and was there every single morning on the counter for hours? So I'm sure the Creamer was disgusting spoiled, there was no sugar for your coffee. And the vending machine call $3 for a soda. This place cost me over $300. For 3 nights I was so annoyed the whole time. That I was forced to stay in this nasty Waste of time and money place. I would rather stay at La Quinta and pay the same amount of money. At least they have clean pools. Send halfway decent Breakfast in the morning do not stay here. Run as fast as you can because you will be annoyed. And if you wanna leave. You will not get your money back.

After a check-in disaster, the stay was pleasant enough. I booked through Expedia and called to say that my flight was delayed and that I would be arriving after midnight. The employee that I spoke to apparently, checked me in, thereby reserving a room for me but when I arrived the clerk at the desk said that they were fully booked and there was no space for me. She called around to 2 other extended stays to check availability only for a 3rd employee to check the hotel register and see that I was already occupying a room! Crisis averted. The room was clean, with updated, discount looking furniture. The air conditioner was on full blast but was adjusted to my liking with ease. There was one bug that was unidentifiable to my NYC eyes. And the water in the tub went from scalding hot to cold with few options in between. Breakfast consisted of granola bars, oatmeal bars, muffins, and coffee. There was, however, a Diner about a half a mile away that served good food, large portions, and a kids eat free menu on weekends until 2pm. The hotel is close to a movie theater, shopping plaza, and Tri-rail station. We did not use the pool, but I read another review that described the pool as green and that was accurate. Oh, and the walls are thin! I could here the shower running from another room as well as a guy blasting his music. They refreshed the towels (only to take the wash cloths and not give more) and made the bed while we were out. Finally, we didn't use anything in the kitchenette other than the fridge, but everything looked clean, and fyi there are no dishes or utensils provided - just two plastic cups at the bathroom sink. Cable TV was great. Overall, there are no frills but for the cheap price, the room was fine.

Well, I do not have any positives about this particular hotel. After leaving this hotel, this past week, I was very disappointed and stressed. First, there was broken glass in several of the parking spaces, when we pulled up to check-in. You can definitely tell, there were several car break-ins. I asked someone that was staying there, and he stated 6 cars, were broken into, recently. That was terrible!!! The hotel had not even gotten the glass up yet. Plus, I really became extra alarm, when I say 3 cars, with plastic bags covering their windows. I tried all day, before we checked-in, to cancel my reservations, because we didn't feel safe at this hotel. Unfortunately, we could not because it was too late, after the cancellation window for that night. When I asked the front desk, "she stated she didn't know because she was off." I wondered how could you not know, and you work there?

Finally, checking in, using the toilet, that stopped up. The front desk stated there were no other rooms, and maintenance, had left for the day. My 15-year-old, had to go downstairs, to get a plunger. On top of that, the toilet still didn't work, correctly. The floors were dusty, and beds and sofa were very outdated. They were both very hard. There was absolutely no cookware. No spoons, no cups, no plates, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! I had to purchase all of that @ Walmart. When, we got back, there were guys hanging out in the front, smoking illegal drugs. After all of this, we were hungry, and it had taken the stove forever to heat up.

Last, to put the icing on the cake. I had booked thru a third party, and they stated to get out of the remaining nights, i would have to confirm it with the front desk. Well, I had gone downstairs around 11:30pm and told the front desk that we can't stay here, anymore. Our room is terrible! I already knew at this point, that I had to pay for the first night. That was fine. I just wanted out ASAP for the remaining 3 nights. Well, the employee by the name, Georgianna (she works nights, not sure of exact name. However, i know it started with a "G") or something like that came to my room, at 0300 in the morning, confronting and arguing with my husband and I about why we were not gone yet? I told her, trust me, we will be out of here tomorrow morning, early. She stated over and over and over. I thought you couldn't stay here. "Why aren't you gone yet?" "If it is that bad, why aren't you gone yet?" She stated she authorized a full refund for the entire stay. I didn't tell her that!!!! I ALREADY KNEW I WOULD PAY FOR THE FIRST NIGHT, DUH!! She obviously thought I was trying to get over or something. I absolutely couldn't believe this lady that works with Extended Stay America, is arguing loudly with me at my hotel door, while my son, was sleeping. She woke all of us, up and including some of the other guests on the floor, I am guessing. I told her, "To charge us, no big deal!" She kept on and on about it for 10 minutes. I was so emotional upset. She was very unprofessional and disrespectful to me. Please talk to her and hopefully, she will not DO THAT AGAIN!!! I AM DONE. THE WORST STAY EVER!! SORRY, SO LONG BUT THIS TO BE SEEN AND HEARD AND...

CAR GOT BROKEN INTO

I’m still shaken up by this incident because no one would ever think that they are unsafe at a hotel during their vacation. Before I mention the details of the car, here’s my review on the hotel in point form:

The hotel is easy to find and in what I considered to be a relatively safe area

The hotel staff is polite; especially the guy at check in. I forgot his name but he had a round face; a little chubby and had a really nice smile

The hotel lobby is very unwelcoming. Furniture is old and there is an unpleasant smell.

Room had a very old and damp smell

Bathroom fixtures need to be replaced; they’re old and have started to rust

Furniture needed cleaning

The sink in the kitchenette keep clogging and all we did was wash our hands at the sink

Housekeeping is once a week. Maybe I missed this somewhere but I think this should be outlined when the room is being advertised

Towels need to be replaced ASAP! They are way too thin to serve any purpose.

There is no breakfast. You might get coffee....if you’re lucky but there is no breakfast included

I woke up one morning to find the driver’s window of my rental completely smashed. I was parked at the side entrance of the hotel. My rental was the ONLY car broken into and although there was nothing stolen (because I don’t leave valuables in my car) I found it quite strange that my car was broken into. Whoever broke in went as far as adjusting the seat which tells me they were either looking for something or they had plans to steal the car. I’m assuming because it’s a push-to-start; that made it more difficult. The front desk associate didn’t seemed surprised that it happened. She was helpful but she didn’t react as urgently as I thought she would. I filed a police report and the hotel is supposed to email the footage from the ‘security cameras’ to the sheriff. I really hope they do. I checked out of the hotel that same day; abruptly ending my stay as I honestly did not feel safe there anymore. I hate that this happened to me but I sincerely hope this review helps someone because having your car broken into is a terrible feeling.....it’s even worse when it’s on the premises of the hotel you’re staying at during...
