The staff! Absolutely the best, friendliest, most helpful hotel staff I've ever encountered. I'd put down specific names normally, like Heather, who was super helpful, but literally everyone, even the guy doing maintenance was pleasant and professional. Helped us find restaurants and everything. In reviews I usually try to give at least one positive and one negative. The only thing I can think of negative is the OJ was a little watery. But the little omelets and red velvet waffles were great. Pool was clean and the pool shower was great. Most pool showers in hotels don't have a hand shower. But this one does. Thank you to the friendly staff! All that said, I wish I could give this town a review. There is nothing here really. The towns economy seems to be entirely dependent on the correctional facilities and Route 66 nostalgia. If you're looking for a good small town to visit, check out Casey Illinois not too far away. Especially if you have kids with you. The hotel pool is literally the most exciting thing in Pontiac for kids. No attractions, no kids museum, not even a Chucky F-ing Cheese! Luckily my kids are remotely interested in museums. The War Museum was closed but looked interesting. Anyway,...

Another great Hampton & comfortable stay. Spotlessly clean, bathroom well stocked with towels ect. Close to the highway so easy off & on, and a quick drive to restaurants & shopping. Individually wrapped cookies at check in & most of the evening. Individually wrapped is MOST appreciated for sanitary, cleanliness. Who hasn’t seen kids reach in & touch several😬Parents, please watch your kids. |Staying on Hilton Honors points, we found 50,000 a bit much for this property; common for this property should be around 30 K. But heard there was a big event that weekend which could explain it.|Of note: very friendly front desk. Thanks Madi for patience in our choice of rooms. Everyone we encountered looked up & greeted us as we came in or went out. Especially important for those coming in; is it a guest or possible intruder walking in?? Far too often front staff will be preoccupied with computer work as people walk in & never look up. |Highly recommend & would stay here again if...

Not sure how to describe this one. It is a beautiful property clean well kept. The second shift person was amazing. Polite professional helpful. A complete contrast to the first shift who bordered on rude did NOT listen to us as we were checking in and managed to double charge me. I am a rewards member expect a certain level of performance from the hotels I visit and to say this visit was a disappointment os putting it mildly. After finding that I had been double charged i went back to the hotel and (yes I was angry) was unable to talk to the manager. However apparently my Itritation was strong enough they had a manager call me and she was able to get the over charge corrected. Having had a good experience in the past I will likely stay there again but this was a very...

One of my nicest experiences ever at a hotel. It's very new and clean, and the rooms are very well taken care of between guests. There are so many power outlets in the rooms, I quit counting. Very clean, modern style, bathroom and shower included. The staff are extremely pleasant, on the phone and in person. I dealt directly with Melissa, and she was an absolute doll. Yes, it's a bit pricier than some of the other options on I-55, but more than worth it. My new go-to when traveling to Chicago for work. Also, if you drive a big truck, there's a turnaround that works just fine at the end of their drive. Just park at the curb. Would give 6 stars if I could👍

Easy to get to. It wasn't as clean as I would like. There was an odd smell to the room. I stayed at two separate locations, and both had the odd smell. I'm not sure how to describe it. I'm not sure if the attached pic was bugs or dust, I was exhausted. I just wanted to shower and go to bed. The staff was friendly and helpful... but yea I just really did not want to touch anything in that room. There was brown fingerprint marks on the AC unit >.< I didn't think the other options would be any cleaner, so i guess it could have been worse.

Halfway from. Michigan to St. Louis. On the "Route 66" map. It's probably one of the nicest, cleanest hotels, my daughter says, "And very comfy beds!" Next to Wallys gas station, worth the stop, and Pontiac has the large Route 66 murals in town. wonderful people working at the hotel, helpful and made recommendations for our trip. Will go there again!
