The good - Very reasonably priced; comfortable beds; main items in room clean; clean, bright lobby and breakfast area; pet friendly hotel.
The disappointing things - 1) No elevator to the second floor. Not a problem for me, but could be for others if they are out of rooms on the first floor; 2) The staircase is just outside of the entrance to the lobby. Anyone can go upstairs without going past the front desk and the front door was not locked. 3)There are smoking rooms at this hotel, at least one for sure. It was right across the hall from my room and you could smell the cigarette smoke in the hallway. I am very sensitive to cigarette smoke, so this was bothersome. I have become accustomed to smoke-free hotels. 4) Attention to detail was lacking. The bathroom was clean on the surface, but there was toothpaste on the wall under the mirror. I found two long black hairs on one of my towels. Lots of scuff marks on the walls. I have never seen such wrinkled sheets on a bed and the fitted sheets were too small and barely fit over the corners of the beds. None of these was earth shattering, but definitely showed a lack of attention to detail, and when you add them up it lead to my three star rating. 5) Front desk staff - The young man who checked us in was very friendly, but was sitting behind the desk wearing headphones and quickly whipped them off when we entered, looking a bit startled. Doesn't really bother me, but not very professional. The next day my daughter arrived and nobody was behind the front desk. There wasn't a bell so she waited a bit. She finally called out and a woman poked her head out of the breakfast area. My daughter asked if there was someone available to check her in and the woman said, "that would be me," but did not immediately return to the desk.
We did not use the small fitness area or partake of the free breakfast, so I...

Read moreAt the reception there is a sign saying “for smoking in the room the fine is 250 dollars.” At check-in, we were given a key to a room on the first floor; when we entered the room, we smelled the smell of cigarettes. My husband contacted the reception and they changed the room. A reasonable question arises: maybe they deliberately wanted to move us in, and in the end fine us $250. Then prove that it was not you who smoked in the room. They changed our room. They gave me the key to the disabled room. And then I realized that they wanted to take revenge on us. The room was clean. It was very cold outside - minus 17 degrees Celsius. The room was also very cold, it was almost impossible to get a bite out of it. They turned on the air conditioning and I thought that I had sounded the air raid alarm. Having warmed the room, I turned off the air conditioner and it does not turn off, it automatically turns on for 10 seconds and the air raid alarm turns on. In the next room the TV was very loud all night. Should such a room be for a disabled person? Should a disabled person hear the air raid alarm all night and freeze from the cold? And in the end I want to write that...
