To be brief for the people who do not like to read long reviews, as an out of state customer, I DO NOT recommend purchasing anything from them unless you are able to physically go to the lot to make your purchase. If no issues pop up, from the other reviews, it seems like it is a smooth process. HOWEVER, if there are any issues, you are in for a bad time. Priority is given only to the customers on the lot and any issues with delivery will not be communicated with you in a timely manner. I am VERY disappointed with the communication regarding the purchase and delivery of my new car and how I was treated as a liar and a mooch after I raised my concerns and expressed my frustration. AND nearly 3 weeks after my purchase, I still do not have everything that was included in the sale and there has been no attempt on Heller's behalf to get it to me.
The longer story is still too long to post, so I will include it as images with screenshots to verify.
The still pretty long story is
I am an out of state customer. I put a $500 buyer's hold on a 2022 Ford Escape PHEV on Saturday, 9/28. On Thursday, 10/3, the sale was finalized and I was told that delivery would be on Saturday ‘between 11 and noon’. I asked if that was for sure the time range, because I had pre-existing plans for that evening that I could not miss and that if not, it would be better to do the delivery on a different day. I was told that there would be no issue with that delivery time and that there was no reason to worry or need to schedule a different delivery day. That was repeated to me the next day, 10/4, when I called after not receiving a response to an email I sent.
On the delivery day, I received a text that the car would be delivered slightly later than I was originally told (1:30), but still early enough to not be a major inconvenience. At 2:30 I called to see why it wasn't here yet. Turns out that the driver drove the wrong direction and was still hours away, estimating a 5:15 delivery. From then until 4:30 I was on and off of the phone with the dealership trying to make arrangements to figure out what to do about delivery. I requested to be reimbursed for the inconvenience.
The dealer decided to have the driver stay in their truck overnight, unpaid, and make the swap in the morning.
When we made the swap, the car did not have the standard plug in charging cable that is stick with the vehicle (or any charging cable!). I messaged the dealer about it and they said "it would have been inside the hatch".
Afterwards, I was insulted by the Sales Manager as "immoral" and "someone just looking to get something for free" regarding the reimbursement of the delivery fee.
Since then, no one has made any attempt to return my calls or get me the Plug-In Charging cord that comes stock with my Plug-In Hybrid. This is despite multiple attempts to reach ANYONE who...
Read moreALMOST All the new hybrid vehicles are garbage. Let me tell you why ALMOST ALL HYBRID ARE GARGAGE .First off they have problems turning on in cold weather . If the car already made in a gas model, They build a hybrid model. The problem is this they keep the same brake, Same suspension and add alot more weight.they are cutting corners, and we are the test rats. 900 pound more for our new Chrysler Pacifica HYBRID van. The PACIFICA GAS MODEL WEIGHTS 900 LESS(THEY BOTH HAVE THE SAME BRAKES AND SUPEPNSIONS PARTS). So they add a system to save gas, but add 900 pound to drive down the road. Same brakes SO MY QUESTION TO YOU IS. which van we need new brake pad first? Sure enough we needed a new control arm, and ball joint at 18,000 miles since we are basically driving a train with the same parts as a cheaper van by the same company same product just not hybrid. I been shopping, and selling cars/ houses most of my adult life. your supposed to get a better product if you spend more money not the other way around that gas model was like 10 grand cheaper. Maybe if you get a wrangler hybrid it can handle all the extra weight since the gas model is made for off roading and war basically, But folks I wouldn't gamble even that. I feel that chrysler was in a rush to be the first hybrid van on the market. Toyota invented the hybrid system. I should got a toyota i feel pretty stupid now. Pretty sure there van doesn't have three timing chains like my chrysler hybrid does. I wounder how many time I'll need a new ball joint and control arm since we like to keep are cars 200,000 plus miles. Also Chrylser has offer us 5000 dollars cash since I live at the dealership I'm there every other week. CHRYLER know they sell lemons AND THEY ARE OK WITH THAT. THEY ACT LIKE THEY WILL HELP ONCE YOU MENTION LAWYER AND COURT. ONLY TO DRAGG TIME OUT. ONCE YOU CARS IS DONE GETTING FIX THEY WILL ACT LIKE THEY OWE YOU NOTHING ,, BUY A TOYOTA OR HONDA THEY COST ALITTLE MORE BUT YOU WILL SAVE ALOT MORE MONEY AND TIME IN THE LONG RUN ,OR GET A BUICK A CHEAP MAN TOYOTA ..... LIFE IS SHORT CHRYLSER IS A DETROIT WELFARE/FOODSTAMP CAR COMPANY AND IT SHOWING BADLY THAT WHY ARE GOVERMENT USES ARE MONEY TO SAVE THEM...
Read moreMy husband and I had been looking for the perfect vehicle for me that would have enough room to accommodate our blended family. We were able to find one through an outside website, and my husband called on it right away to get a little more information. It took us a little bit to gain the financing, but we were able to hold the 2021 Expedition with a deposit. We do not live in Illinois, so we were able to get it shipped to our home. We were unaware that the vehicle had to first travel from Canada to Illinois, so it took a little bit more time than we had hoped to get the vehicle into our possession, but that was not really a huge deal. Once the vehicle got to them, we were informed of a few things they were going to look into fixing if we were willing to wait a little bit longer. We agreed that we wanted to have it looked over one last time before having it delivered, so we agreed to have them see about fixing a few things. There was a chip in the wheel well that they were going to need to order the paint for, as the color is pretty unique. They asked if we wanted to have it fixed by them or have the paint sent to us to allow for us to get the vehicle faster, my husband knows a few people who can do cosmetics like that so we decided to have the paint sent to us and the Expedition put onto a trailer to be delivered sooner. There was an issue with the retractable step, but we have too many inpatient children that would not wait for the step to fully come out before stepping on it, so it is not needed to be fixed and because we decided to go that route, we were not only delivered our Expedition, but a check for the amount it costs to have it fixed. My husband did most of the talking and dealing with the people at the dealership, but we got an amazing vehicle and great service, which is not something I am used to happening at a dealership, so I will not only be recommending others to check there inventory out, but will definitely be back to check into what they have available and/or for any other future vehicle needs. Thank you for making our experience buying a vehicle so painless and...
