Super 8 by Wyndham Pontiac — Hotel in Pontiac Township

Not necessarily a bad place, just terrible communication. On a business trip, and our boss booked us a room that check in was supposed to be early in the AM, since we work over night and wouldn’t be done until about 2:30AM.. when we arrive they told us that we could check in until 2:00PM. Our boss had called to specifically set up the odd check in, and the odd check out (which was supposed to be 7:00PM)- which would only mean we stayed for 17 hours, less than a typical day stay of 20hrs. We could only charge one night to the company card, so I ended up paying an extra $70 on my PERSONAL card. They told me they would refund it at check out, and then the charge showed up on my account two days later!!! I have a lot of bills, and need tires on my car. I can’t afford that for not even staying that night! Ridiculous. Only not giving it a 1 star because it a was very nice, clean hotel. There was a blonde lady at the desk in the morning, she came outside while we had a cigarette before leaving and told us a little about the area and where we were going (what there is to do and whatnot) and that was very nice of her. You should give her a raise, as well as the dark haired (I think Asian?) lady at night, she was friendly and tried to help us figure it out (didn’t want to call the boss at 3am..) even though we couldn’t, it’s not her fault. It’s your RIDICULOUS poor communication. A 17 hour stay should NOT...

This place was no frills decently priced and convenient located right off the interstate within walking distance to and a convenience store that has almost everything one would need I'm not kidding you if you can get your snack on there but that's not what the review is about this place has a large parking lot to work even 80 foot car carriers so for professional drivers it's a nice spot to stay and the rooms were clean and comfortable the staff was very friendly and helpful. In my opinion the rooms were clean and well-attended. They have a little breakfast in the morning with waffles cereal yogurt milk a couple juice options. This Super 8 came with good reviews and I am glad that I can add to that as this is my personal opinion and it is worth as much as you paid for it. Also everyone that I add contact with at the establishment what is easily approachable and good to work with. It's kind of nice when you are traveling and you call somebody and they know who you are because they remember checking you in and are willing to work with you should things need to be accomplished over the phone. The parking lot was clean and well lit on arrival. Thank you for the veteran parking! I always have a reservation, so check in was not a problem. My room was very clean, with a comfortable bed and pillows. Most of the stated amenities were in place, such as the microwave and small refrigerator. However, there is no in room coffee. A small item to some but HUGE to me. Please stop using Covid-19 as an excuse to cut service and save a buck. I'm a Wyndham Rewards Diamond member, so I know Wyndham no longer requires you to have coffee in the rooms, but please at least buy two or three and make the option available to the guests that like a cup of coffee before getting dressed. My air conditioner/heater worked without a lot of noise or odor. The front desk staff was friendly and offered to help with my luggage. The television had a great selection of channels and a good picture. Breakfast is limited. With just a couple of tweaks, it'd have been a good stay.
