I was excited to try this place because they had 2 dedicated vegan options, that also just galen to be gluten free. I could either get the blue corn tortilla tacos or the enchiladas. Both came with nopales (cactus) and black beans. I chose the tacos, simply becauseI'm not typically a big fan of green tomatillo sauce, which was on the enchiladas. **Update** I just went back with my daughter for lunch for her 16th birthday and we were both fans. I got the enchiladas without cheese and a side of guacamole. The whole meal was vegan, which was great. And the veggies on the enchiladas weren't completely compromised of just bell peppers and onions, but also had zucchini and mushrooms. Nice! The tacos were very good and extremely filling. I feel they could have used more veggies in them and less beans though, for my personal preference, because the beans are pretty salty. We also got the guac and chips as an appetizer, and the guac was pretty darn good! I decided to try their Cadillac Margarita and was happy I did. Very flavorful and strong. Definitely not one of those weak ones with the electric neon green fake mix I've seen at other places. The atmosphere really has some cool touches and the building itself is a fantastic architectural design. If you haven't checked this place out yet, I highly suggest it!

San Marcos in Raleigh is an absolute gem that transports you to a different world the moment you step inside. The architecture alone is stunning, with beautifully crafted details that evoke the feeling of being in a vibrant, foreign land. The food is nothing short of amazing, offering a delightful array of flavors that celebrate authentic cuisine. Each dish is a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with fresh ingredients. You can't talk about San Marcos without mentioning the incredible mojitos. They are refreshing, perfectly balanced, and the ideal complement to your meal. The service is impeccable, with attentive staff who genuinely care about your dining experience. They make you feel welcomed and valued, ensuring that every aspect of your visit is enjoyable. Another unique feature of San Marcos is the awesome photographer who captures the moments of your dining experience. You can take home complimentary pictures, and for those wanting something extra special, larger prints are available for a small fee. Overall, San Marcos is a must-visit restaurant that excels in food, service, and ambiance. Whether you're looking for a cozy dinner or a special occasion, this place has it all!

Do not go to this restaurant, especially if you have food allergies. I placed a to go order of nachos with only grilled chicken and cheese and 3 enchiladas with only grilled chicken and cheese. Once I received the food, I noticed the nachos had shredded chicken, peppers and onions on it. I told them the food was wrong and I told her once again only grilled chicken and cheese and that my husband could not eat peppers or onions due to a allergy. She tried to tell me that was grilled chicken and I told her it wasn’t and she took it back and they made it correctly. I asked if the enchiladas were correct. She assured me they were. After getting to our hotel room, my husband ate the nachos and two bites of an enchilada before realizing they had peppers and onions in it. I called the restaurant and told them what happened and how he’s now sick and had to take allergy meds. The manager told me he needed to go to the hospital and if he brings in a doctors note then we can talk about things more. I told him this is a serious matter and how we paid for food that was wrong and now my husband is sick. He told me I didn’t care about my husbands health. I then told him how ridiculous that was and how he may have to get checked out because of their mistake. I told him I would be calling corporate and posting a review. He laughed and said they aren’t corporate and hung up on me. This place clearly does not care about their customers and are seriously lacking in customer service skills. I will be posting my review of this place to every social media platform and I hope you see a decrease in business. You shouldn’t be open.
