I am actually very upset! Today 05/08/2023 was my first time ever having this place. I looked up the menu online prior to ordering because I did not know what they have. I wanted birria tacos. To my knowledge birria tacos has the dipping broth. Because I was confused with the online menu I called and spoke with the front desk worker to place my order to pick up. As I picked up my order the building itself was beautiful, service seemed okay….. so far. As I got home ready to eat my food there is a tray with two completely dry, BARE birria Tacos, with a side of ride and some other thing with beans which I did not want any of that just the tacos and broth. I called to see what can be done, and the lady who answered was the one who had taken the order. She became frustrated and placed me on a hold. Someone picks up 5 minutes later and it’s a manager. He gets on the phone and states “How can I help you?” 😕 I stated that the previous woman placed me on a hold. He states “Okay I’m the manager how can I help you?” Umm ok. I informed him of what I asked to order and he interrupts me and proceeds to telling me the difference between two items on the menu which I don’t care atp I just want it alleviated. I told him with the broth is what I want and she did not clarify that there were two different ones on the menu. He states “Okay so what do you want me to do?” I had to ask “Excuse me” because I was completely taken back. He stated the same thing again and added would you like the tacos with the broth? I said yes . I came back to the location with everything I did not want UNTOUCHED , UNOPENED. This man proceeds to grab a menu and show me the difference as if I cared about that in this very moment. A few moments later her brings out my food. Now, the dish she had originally rung me up for was over $17.00, the CORRECT item was $14.50. I look in the bag and not only did I not get a refund, there were only 2 Burria tacos in the bag 😕. My total came up to $22.30 with getting one piece of street corn, and a convenience fee for using a card with the original order. So I basically just paid almost $23 for two tacos and that was it. I will honestly never go here again. Although the food was good, I have been to other Mexican restaurants here since I moved here in October and my experience was exceptional. I tried this place because they were the closest to me and it was late. It’s sad to say from now on I will drive the extra distance to not be taken advantage of. Extremely disappointed and I definitely wasted my money. I won’t...
Read moreThe food and drinks were delicious. However they served frozen margaritas in beer glasses! Sugar and water condensation slid down the sides of the glass, on my hands, on the table, and on my forearms. Had to wash up in rest room about halfway through the drink! The thicker margarita straw barely comes to the top of beer glass. Told the waitress about the issue with the glass and asked if I could get my margarita in a margarita glass as had on previous visits here and her only response was to bring me extra napkins, so I could clean it up myself! She said the bartender had to serve in beer glasses now and she could not change the glass. None was spilled, this was from the melting sugar and condensation. Was told by asst manager the next day that this is new standard of practice moving forward that all regular margaritas are now being served in beer glasses! Also, I made these reservations 3 weeks prior for this evening for our party of 12 in the bar at 6pm. I arrived at 6pm and 4 people from my party had arrived and had been seated at a table for 12 in the general area with screaming kids, 4 birthday songs, NOT in the bar area as per reservation. Hostess only asked them how many in party, not whose name reservation was in or if there was a reservation at all. It was NOT a pleasant evening. Hostess was not properly trained said the asst mgr,, beer glasses for reg margaritas causing sticky mess, and waitress not offering to clean up the messes their new glass standards create! Asst mgr said he would pass along my complaint and they would get back to me on Monday. Well, Monday has come and gone now with no response from mgr. Also, $9 for a regular Dos Equis? Was once very impressed with this place....
Read moreOne star because I will say the server was great. (& because it won’t let me leave 0) HOWEVER, I was double charged for my lunch two weeks ago. One charge showed up the day I visited, the second an entire week later. I waited for it to actually post and not be pending then I called the restaurant. Wasn’t angry at all at this point, accidents happen and technology glitches. The man on the phone took all of my info and told me he would look into it and call me back. Two hours later a woman calls me back and says sees where I was double charged and she could give me a gift card if I came back in. I didn’t really want a gift card considering I live 45 minutes away and wasn’t overly impressed with the food for the price on my first visit and didn’t plan to visit again regardless. Convinced her to give me cash but I still had to come and get it. So fast forward to today, I go in (at a predetermined date and time agreed on the phone with the woman) and the hostess had no idea what I was talking about. Not only that, she seemed incredibly hesitant to believe me, inquired about making sure my bank had posted it (already had this conversation on the phone originally), was just generally rude in her questions, and helped three people who interrupted me before giving me my money. Very disappointed in this customer service as someone who comes from the restaurant industry and has a very lenient demeanor toward restaurant mistakes. As I mentioned before, I likely would not have returned anyway unless I happened to be in the area. However, I would not have left a negative review nor steered my friends away from this restaurant had this situation been...
