Adequate for my purposes. Lighting - fluorescent with two bulbs out. Cooling - minimally working, filters (2) hadn't been changed in last two months (guessing, by residue) and there is (what appears to be) mold growing on the intake. Walls – mirror alongside bed area (note: room had one Queen bed); wall covering was stucco and paint and not well done; at least one cracked electrical outlet. Flooring - commercial carpet in room (no odor and no obvious stains) and hallway (inside hallway has some areas where foundation - cement? - sunk); large tile in bathroom. Doors/Windows - room door had no gasket or pipe insulation and let light (and hallway odors) in the room; locks looked adequate but felt like they would give way if someone wanted to break in; single window slides left-and-right with single locking mechanism. Internet - terribly slow. Furniture - solid, with fair/reasonable wear-and-tear; desk/office chair was missing two (or more) casters and was difficult to adjust. Bed - clean sheets daily and made "tight"; mattress a little soft for my taste. Bathroom - purportedly "handicap accessible", but toilet had no grab bars/rails and the nuts for the floor bolts were missing (someone sealed it to the floor with clear acrylic caulk) and toilet moved freely; counter height too appeared to be too high for wheelchair and the front face of sink dipped too low for those in a wheelchair (knees); bathtub definitely NOT handicap accessible despite having at least four grab rails (note: no ledge for soap or shampoo); shower head was attached to metal flex-tube and "knotted" in such a way as to hold the shower head at the five foot mark (had to stoop to wash hair); fresh towels daily. Other – housekeeping never let me down; saw (and killed) several millipedes and one tiny scorpion (3 mm long); alarm clock was slightly inoperable and the "wake to music" function was totally inoperable; curtains would not close all the way; television was on an articulating arm (commendable) but the navigation for often slow and oversensitive (was also hooked up to a analog-to-digital converter box); refrigerator was clean and serviceable; microwave was effective. Some caveats: Did not try ordering food for delivery. Did not make any calls using room phone. Did not partake of the complimentary breakfast. Did not enter the property after dark. The room I had was non-smokingf is a hotel that some individuals (and families) use when they get evicted from section 801 housing and such. That being said, there are loud children in the lobby on occasion, young adults hanging out in the lobby and outside the entrances, and some (not all) "guests" staying up to unreasonable hours while making noise or having loud conversations. This would be a great place to stay for a concert or a simple layover… but not if you have to conduct business, telecommute or entertain people you care...

This was my first experience at a Microtel, so I did not know what the process was for extending my stay. I had called the 800 reservations number to facilitate the extension and the CS person I spoke with also did not inform me of the procedure. I am sure anyone can imagine my surprise when the owner's wife came knocking on my door asking me to leave! I got into discussion with her (and later her husband) about what needed to be done and the lack of communication about it - she said "this isn't an Extended Stay Hotel, if you want to stay you should have come downstairs and paid us." I asked her to repeat what she said, thinking that I had misunderstood. She repeated the nasty comment and said that I should have known to come downstairs to pay, but she would not make me leave this time if I took care of it ASAP.
I went downstairs to take care of the bill, and began interacting with the man at the desk (the owner). As I was taking care of the bill, I was expressing my shock and disappointment in the bad info I was given by the reservations person and the comments made by the woman I'd encountered upstairs. He began getting irate, repeated the comment about not being an Extended Stay hotel & told me I could just leave if I couldn't afford to stay or maybe I was used to staying at a different type hotel. I didn't exactly know what he meant by that, but it was highly offensive and I told him so.
If I hadn't been stuck there with no transportation I would definitely have checked out and not stayed or paid another night! The only bright spot was the front desk STAFF, who made an otherwise horrible trip a bit more tolerable. 5* for THEM.
Also, I am glad i asked for a copy of my complete folio, because this location tried to cheat me out of my $50 deposit. I know full well that if it was a temp hold the charges should never have appeared on my card statement but sure enough! $50 charged on 3/12 but the paper folio shows that the funds were released. If I hadn't recently reviewed the folio (intuition calling!), I never would have seen the charge. This is FRAUD and I shudder to think of how many customers this has been done to. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again, and probably deactivate my Wyndham account.
Your operators are your brand...this location is an EPIC FAIL for generating...

This place was definitely different! As a person from a really small town, just having a cigarette outside I saw more people milling around than I do in a month where I live.
The taco truck at the gas station is DELICIOUS and I would definitely recommend. They’re there all night, so if you stare down a few bottles you’ve always got some treats within a safe walking distance.
However, I will say if you intend to walk… I went for an evening walk, which I was unaware that city people DO NOT DO THIS unless they are looking for something.
Twice men approached me with crack and call girls. No idea why they did, I am a female, and was dressed like a witch. I don’t seem the type. But like I said, apparently city people just don’t take innocent walks. There was a pregnant call girl in the parking lot, she looked like she had better things to do on a Friday, I felt very sorry for her. First time I’ve ever seen one.
So yea, location is different!
The hotel only has one entry and exit. No visitors. No food. Unfortunately, you cannot even bring the provided breakfast to your room, which upset me because I do not wish to eat with the other guests staying here. One dude in the lobby was so high his eyes looked like painted golf balls stuck in his head. Maybe they were.
Complete lockdown. I reckon that’s because of the colorful characters walking around outside though. It seems, from previous reviews, that they are trying to fix it up, and banning stuff outright seems to be their only option at this point, so I do not blame them.
As for the rooms quality, it was EXTREMELY humid, and a little smelly, but it’s the south and I was on the ground floor, so it’s a given. Room altogether was clean, floor was freshly mopped when I came in, and it was quiet in my room throughout the night. (Doubt it’s quiet in the front side though!!! Lol). Tv was good quality and had plenty of channels!
I simply can’t give them a horrible review despite all the madness around. It was a huge culture shock for my country bumpkin lifestyle, and the hotel certainly cannot help the people who choose to hang out in this area, they’re simply victims of circumstance.
I reckon if you mind your own and stay polite with others you’ll be just fine, and the prices are...
