It's the service for me but my only issue was with one of the managers. Big tall dark skin guy with twist or something in his hair. Upon receiving my drink while waiting for them to bring my food to my car I took a big gulp of my sweet tea and almost choked on what appeared to be tea bag debris. Which could have only happened due to someone not making the tea right. I spit it out on a napkin BCS I really didn't know what it was I gagged on. So I go inside and wait patiently at the counter as the cashier is already with a customer and the two managers are talking to staff.
The cashier asks what's wrong so I told her "it's something on ya tea". She gets the attention of the Manager. His whole demeanor toward the situation said "I don't give af" as he slowly walked toward the counter exhaling like he already frustrated. So I tell him "something in ya tea, I don't know what it is but yeah I just took in a bunch of it drinking the tea. " I shows him the napkin and sits the cup on the counter. I he looks at me with complete dismissal and says oh it's just the tea bag and walks off all nonchalantly back to talking with the same employee in the kitchen. He didn't bother to even give instructions to his cashier to make me another drink/ give me a cup nor did he even bother to look in the cup to see how much was in it.
Before I could even say anything The cashier and the customer both looked at him and was like "oh wow". Basically expressing in disbelief that he just walked off like it was nothing. The cashier looks at him waiting for instructions I guess on whether or not she should get me something else or not.
So at this point I'm upset with him walking away and acting like it's ok for the tea debris to be in my drink. So I'm like "Excuse me so that's the end of the conversation?" His response" Well once I explained to you that it's the tea bag there should be nothing else to say. " Which infuriated me even more. Because he showed no concern at all that I almost choked off it. So I say " How about an apology? How about a " I do apologize ma'am, this should not have happened. Can I get you something else. Idk maybe a lemonade or something." Some type of professional response would have been great. As I was speaking he looked at me like I was dumb and handed me another cup.
I grabbed the cup while I gave him a piece of my mind and fixed another drink and left. I was so mad that I just left the napkin and cup on the counter. We still were waiting on our food that seemed to take forever also. So I go back in there and take a picture of the napkin and video of me pouring the tea out just to see exactly what it was since the manager didn't even care to confirm that it was in fact the tea debris or how much was actually in my drink. And yeah it was a lot. Mind you I had already gulped a big portion of it already and poured pretty much all the tea out and it was still a lot more in there at the bottom.
Nobody wants to drink the tea debris. The tea is considered ruined when too much of the debris is in it. If that's how much was in my cup then I can only imagine how many other people had the same problem that day. He didn't even dump the tea and make a new pot. These drinks are too expensive to be wasting our money and it's too hot outside to not be able to drink something...
Read moreI've been dying to go here. We have the commercials for them... but I'd never seen one in No. California. Anyway... the meal was delicious. Commercial tells the truth. Chicken is deliciously crunchy. Chicken sandwich is the family favorite, but popcorn chicken... off the charts good. Original or Spicy chicken, French fries original or Spicy, mashed potatoes (like mom made, no - really!) with or without cajun gravy, yummy mac & cheese... and did I mention the biscuits? Ya... beyond good. That was all we had, but theres lots of other menu choices. The place was very clean, plexiglass barrier for everyones safety, very friendly staff & hot fresh comfort food. At an affordable price! What more could you want? I highly recommend you try this restaurant & THIS LOCATION. I was impressed by the staff in most all categories. I guess the only thing that bothered my was it took a little while to get my order. I had no idea that things were cooked fresh... what a welcome suprise. We all fully enjoyed the meal & the kind interaction with the staff. Another welcome suprise. From the front & back staff to the Manager who was right in the thick of things, helping instead of barking orders... I think that's AWESOME. The place was steady busy, instore & drivethru. I will miss this place when I go back to California... but I'll be back every time I visit. Come on & get you & yours a good meal... I almost guarantee you won't be...
Read moreI ordered the $6.99 big box which was advertised on the window, not on the actual drive thru menu. I told the guy on speaker what I wanted and named the price. I also added butterfly shrimp only. He said drive around for total. A woman takes my card and says the total was around 15 dollars. I immediately say hold up, she tweaks something(removed drink) and still charges my card for around 15 something. So I just asked to refund the shrimp, because I didn't plan on spending $15.00 at the time.
No big deal! But what I didn't like is the professionalism from the staff. When someone wants something corrected, it is no need to change your mood or attitude when it can simply be corrected.
All because I wanted what "I" wanted.
I didn't get a thank you! When I asked for hot sauce, she throws it in the bag, and the coldness from the black male manager with the low hair cut, as if I'm bothering them.
Maybe this company should invest in a digital screen to help with accuracy. Because ANYTIME, there's a mistake with my food, I WILL BE GETTING A REFUND OR CORRECTION, regardless of how you feel about it.
I treated them with grace because someone will come along and put them in their place in due time... during some part of...
