El Taco Market — Restaurant in Raleigh

Good food. My service has always been good and quick, but I don’t go at peak times. I like that I get to practice my Spanish and they are accommodating with my attempts. California style burritos are yummy and have a solid portion of mixings such as rice beans cheese sour cream salsa Fresca, guacamole, etc. The shrimp burrito is yummy. I had the caldo do res (soup with meat) and it was so very delicious. I’m dying for the caldo de pollo (chicken soup), with potatoes carrots rice and chicken with Fixin’s; however they don’t have soup all the time.. I would go more often if they did. The fish taco was pretty good but I’m still missing my Cabo style fish taco that isn’t found anywhere around here. The salsa verde (green salsa) is amazing. This is one of the few drive thru Mexican food spots in town, Close to the Raleigh hospital and freeway. The neighborhood is a bit rough but doesn’t scare me none, reminds me of home.. I...

I come here for 1 reason, and somehow that's the only thing they got wrong on a day and time when they were less busy than usual. I'll probably avoid this place for a couple of months. Dissappointing that the level of customer service is this bad. Guess I'll have to go back to checking their work whenever I do go back. Edit: been coming back here a couple of days now. I've simplified my order so there's less ways they can make mistakes. The wait times via drive through are pretty bad though. 30 minutes with 2 vehicles in front. Makes the drive home feel worse. Foods fine, but since I prefer to avoid mistakes, my choices are limited unless I want to spend another 30 mins in line, not to mention getting there in rush...

First off, I speak English! I feel like far too many people write off great authentic places like this because they are worried about encountering a language barrier. This place is perfectly fine. The food is delicious, inexpensive and authentic. I 100% will drive out of the way to go here versus "americanized" Taco Bell. What I love is that they have options for people (like my wife) who like standard Taco Bell like food while still providing authentic options for folks more like myself. Soft corn tacos with...
