The only good thing about this hotel was the nice gentleman who checked me in at almost 5 am after my car accident. I paid 107$ to be harrassed and inimidated by the front desk staff after explaining the situation in which I was waiting to hear back from my insurance agent and/or the repair shop in which my car been taken to since I was not local I didn't have a vehicle and there was no transportation service available in the entire town that it was just going to be a few minutes before I get out like I was I told her that it was going to be a while before and I didn't decide if I wanted to stay an extra night or not yet and I was out of the room by quarter after 1:00 but that was because every 5 minutes I had to deal with knocking on the door telling me that I must leave right now whenever I just got into a car accident and I'd only been there for a few hours the lady was not listening to me nor did she care she even called the police and had them come to the room after I'd already left the room I don't know what she was trying to do but it was just completely rude unacceptable and I'm called for. There was no reason that I should be bothered every 5 minutes or less to leave the room immediately (I had just been involved in a car accident and the stuff that I grabbed for my car was random and it was spread across the room because I didn't even know what I had with me and I was beyond stressed and upset and shaken up and completely traumatized, I honestly feel like this woman was intentionally trying to antagonize me whenever I explained to her what was going on and she knew because I had checked in at 5:00 a.m. and I was so understanding of the expensive price I didn't even try to complain about it. There were a thousand better ways that this woman could have handled it and then she had the audacity to tell me that she was being patient. I've stayed at Hilton hotels for way less money and way better customer service and had way later checkouts with not being bothered once. This was honestly the worst experience I've ever had in the entirety of the town let alone that single hotel was the worst part of it, additionally, it was clear that the hotel was not even close to being fullly booked let alone probably only had like five customers in the entire hotel there was absolutely no reason that I needed to leave right then at that moment and she insisted that she wanted me in the lobby I would prefer to not be around in the same vicinity for a long period of time with people I don't know if they've been exposed to covid or not and I'm very conscious and careful of who I am around for an extended...
Read moreWe stayed at the hotel as part of a wedding party. The day of checkout, I will readily admit that we were not out of the room by the stated 11am checkout. Fully owning that. However, what is NOT acceptable by ANY means is the rampant harassment we experienced. We received various phone calls, banging on the door, and untempered rudeness by staff. It is NEVER acceptable to intrude upon a guest privacy, especially when this harassment begins WELL BEFORE check-out time. We started getting phone calls and bangs on the door around 9am. The front desk agent was incredibly rude and bossy, calling regularly to remind us of check out. The room attendant did the same.
I do not know what kind of background management has, but it is clear that customer service is not their expertise. You do NOT disturb guests in this way, especially when there is a Do Not Disturb on the door. Furthermore, it was completely infuriating that when we did depart (sometime between 1130-1145a), we walked by a hallway full of checked-out rooms that were not cleaned yet, with the attendant in one of them. The entire hallway had the doors wide open, with rooms ready to be serviced. WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD IT BE CRUCIAL TO HARASS US TO VACATE THE ROOM WHEN THE ENTIRE HALL IS EMPTY AND IN NEED OF CLEANING? For the love of God, I wish someone would call me directly and explain this lack of professionalism. It is wildly unacceptable. No one should have to experience what we did.
When I expressed my frustration to the front desk agent - young woman, likely in her 20's, maybe 30's - she was completely and utterly unfazed. She simply offered me her manager's card. No attempts at recovery. Not even a THOUGHT of an apology. It is baffling to me that someone who works in customer service would have this total disregard for providing customer service.
Terrible.
This hotel is an awful establishment, in dire need of a renovation. Rooms are dark, musty, smell like mildew, just totally unacceptable quality. Luckily, service matches, so at least you know you're getting consistency!
Avoid this like the plague. You're...
Read moreMy mom and I stayed at the Rayne Best Western to attend a funeral in Crowley. Hotel was very convenient to the interstate to commute the 11 minutes to Crowley. Unfortunately, we had car trouble on the way into town and checked in late. The lobby was empty and the desk clerk was totaling or counting what I assume is her nightly work. She didn't acknowledge me for several minutes. When she finally asked if I had a reservation, she wasn't overly friendly. Not rude, but borderline unprofessional. I finished up check-in and went to my room. The lobby has a weird smell when you first walk in, but the halls on the 2nd floor are worse. Thankfully, the room didn't have the same mothball/stale carpet smell. The room was clean from the beds to the bathroom. Very clean. Beds were comfortable. We were woken up to a train at 6:30am. If we would have stayed on the other side of the hall we would have heard interstate noise all night. It was a rough nights sleep. Breakfast wasn't 5-star but normal small town hotel breakfast. Housekeeping opened our door at 10am after a short 2 knock warning. Checkout was at 11am so we were still packing and getting dressed. Next time we come to town, I'll try to the Days Inn. I wasn't overly impressed with BW, and there were more negatives than positives. I think customer service would have...
