Candyland Cottage — Local services in Rayne

UPDATE! We purchased 6 pieces of chocolate.... Peanut butter was 100% old, it tasted like old grease and was hard as a rock. Instead of a chocolate sea salted caramel filled truffle, we got more old chocolate filled with hard chocolate NOT caramel.. I really wanted to like this place....

Unfortunately, this was a terrible experience. I was looking forward to the world's biggest gummy bear, I saw an old gummy snake that blended in with everything so much that you blinked and missed it. We weren't greeted and had no help offered or any way of deciphering between customers and employees to even ask for help. We stood at the fudge counter and did not get any help. We went to the cash register, and still, no one was willing to help. I found a bell to ring, and as we were checking out, it seemed as if we were an inconvenience more than a customer. This is a small shop, definitely not worth the time...

So my husband and I ( we live in Lake Charles ) took a trip to Rayne, Louisiana. We saw this AWESOME LOOKING PLACE called the * Candyland cottage * we decided to Stop and check it out. Well there were at least 5 employees just staring at us when we walked in... No Happy greeting...No Greeting...they looked quite miserable... So we walked around and looked at ALL the WONDERFUL CANDY... BUT THERE WAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE...WE WERE VERY DISAPPOINTED. ..THAT THE STAFF DID NOT MATCH THE CUTE LITTLE BUSINESS. ... SO IT WOULD BE FUN TO CHECK OUT THE PLACE...BUT BEWARE OF THE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND...

Unfortunately I can't give 0 stars, cause that is how I feel we were treated... the 2 behind the counter were too busy talking to all the teens sitting at the table and in a chair, none of which had product in front of them. Also did not appreciate the attitude as if we had bothered their party or the looks one of the girls gave, don't like neon colors?, noone was there to please you!!! ... so we went to the DQ across the street for our ice cream. If this is your business, I would suggest cameras in the store to watch...
