My friend and I went stayed here from April 2-5 for vacation and we had the worse experience. It has started off well but it just went down the drain. On our first day (April 2) we checked in and didn't have any problems.
Our second day (April 3) we went to Boston and we were gone all day. When we got back our keys were not working and it looked like someone came in even though we had the do not disturb sign on our door, which is no biggie at first. Come to find out we didn't get checked in all the way. When we checked in it was with my friend's dad's account and we were using points and my friend had to even call her dad during check in to get the account number. They assured us everything was solved. However, that wasn't the case. At 12:03 am that night (my friend and I had already been asleep for 3 hours) I awoke to someone opening our door and trying to get in. I get up and if it wasn't for us using the deadbolt someone would have gotten into our room. I was very freaked out and scared. This was my first time traveling without my family or boyfriend and just with a friend and I was terrified that someone would try to get in again. At 12:14 our room got a call from the front desk and they didn't know who was in the room and they were trying to figure it out and confirm who we were even though we were assured everything was solved several hours before. I asked if a worker had tried to get in and the person on the phone said that it was him and he did apologize, however, it was midnight and we never received a call before he tried to come into our room.
The next morning (April 4) we were going back into Boston and we went to the front desk to figure out what was going on and they still assured us that there were no problems. We didn't have problems that night when we came back in.
On April 5 we checked out and we wanted to reconfirm everything was okay and this time a manager was there. She looked us up and apparently there were still problems going on. We had also been charged for the full amount of the room when we were trying to use points which covered almost all of it. The manager said that the room would be refunded and they would use the points. However, on our way back home Friday, my friend's dad told us that the points were refunded but the charge for the rooms were not.
We still have yet to get a refund for the room and for it to charge the points instead and we were told that we would get an email that day about the refund and only received it about the points. We travelled on a budget so it was important to use the points and that is the only reason we went to this hotel. We would have gone somewhere else if we weren't using points.
We will never stay at this hotel again when we come back to Massachusetts. This was the worse...
Read moreI recently stayed at this hotel twice, once when leaving on an early flight out of Logan Airport, and then when returning late at night, as we also parked our car. It is a very easy and efficient program they have, although the prices have gone up significantly in the last year, and unless you are staying at least a week, may not be worth it anymore.
The first stay left a LOT to be desired. We checked in in the late afternoon. The person checking us in said about 3 words the entire process because he was on the telephone and radio doing everything. His manager was sitting at the desk next to him chatting loudly and rudely to one of her friends and didn't do a thing to help him. We were offered no Platinum amenities or gifts, although the 250 points did show up in my account later. I also had to ask (and motion) 3 times to get a second key made. The room was ok. I have stayed here before and had better rooms, as this one had an odor. I had requested a king bed, but received doubles.
Check-out was difficult in the morning as the front desk person was nowhere to be found for at least 10 minutes. Sitting at the desk was the shuttle driver who said she would be right back, but flat out refused to help us check out or take information, so we had to wait. This is because I did not receive the emailed statement that all other Starwood properties email me prior to check-out for me to check, otherwise I would have done an express checkout.
We did not get to eat breakfast as it was too early and all of the muffins that are usually left out were gone and the coffee was cold and old.
It was to the point where we decided to not stay here on our return, just pick up our car and drive the 2 hours home. Although, our flights ended up being late and we weren't arriving until 12:30am so I made another reservation and we did stay the night. It was better, although still check-in was rushed and we were never really welcomed or thanked or given any platinum amenity. The room this time was a wheelchair accessible room, which aren't bad, but I would have preferred regularly laid out room with a normal bathroom and the sink inside the bathroom. There was also only one towel in the room, which I discovered in the morning when we tried to shower, so I had to dry myself with the small facial and floor towels. Checkout was fine this time.
I fear that this hotel has gone significantly down hill since my last stays. I have an upcoming stay in a week for 2 rooms (both on the flight out and the return) and I am a bit nervous, as I do not want to pay the inflated rates for a substandard...
Read moreThe young Hispanic Concierge at the front desk is rude. The customer service at the front desk is definitely lacking. After some back and forth with checking in, we were finally given keys. No information on amenities, whether we needed anything at all. We were just told where the elevators were and that was it. When I got into the room, my 9 year old noticed two blood spots on the cover. When I tried to call downstairs, there was no answer and I called 3 times. We peeled back the blanket and found that the flat sheet had a big stain on it as well a big blood stain on the fitted. The other bed appeared to be okay. I went downstairs and reported it to the night concierge and he was very apologetic, but no one gave us anything for the bed. I had to run to the store and purchase blankets and sheets to put on the bed so that my disabled mother could have a place to sleep. On Friday, I said something again and nothing was done. I spent $47 on sheets and blankets that I didnât have! Then, there were several cars illegally parked in the few ha medical parking spots outside. I had to double park every time outside the door to load/unload my mother if we got back too late in the afternoon. I said something the that same female concierge every single day I was there as well as the tall skinny kid with semi long hair to one side and a shaved back. Nothing was done. Twice I had to park all the way down hill in the back of the hotel and walk with several things all the way up hill to the front in high winds with two bad legs myself. It turns out that the tall kid and the Spanish concierge were illegally parked in the same handicap spots themselves. No one cleaned our rooms, or brought clean anything until Saturday when I found the housekeepers themselves on my floor. The room was never stocked with soap, waters or half of the required towels until she cleaned the room! I was never told about the bar, transportation, or breakfast until I went walking around. The server was very nice and relatable, as well the housekeepers. There was also no channel lineup in the room. When I went downstairs to request a channel list, they had only one and it was outdated. Iâm sad to say that although the place looks nice when you walk in, they are lacking in customer service, cleanliness of rooms, stocking of rooms, control of parking, and communication. Frankly, I have had much much better stays at the motels along route 1 then here. Highly disappointed and wish I could have...
