The room was okay, if you like the color brown and generic corporate decor. The one positive thing I can say about the room is that it was quiet. However, everything else about the room was far from great. To start with, the mattress is cheap. I know this because I sell mattresses for a living. This is a low quality connected coil mattress. The kind you find at a Motel 6, or in your grandparents' spare room. You feel every bit of movement from your partner. What's worse, is the mattress is stained, and the cheap cover they have on it has holes. The air conditioning in the room never got cool enough that we could sleep comfortably. The lowest it would get is 74°F. I brought this to the attention of the person at the front desk (when we went out for the day the next morning), and she said she would send someone up to look at it. Either she sent no one, or someone did go in, observed that the AC was on, and left without testing if it would get cooler. When we returned that afternoon, the room was no cooler. When we went out for the evening, I once again brought it up to the person at the front desk. Once again, I was told that they would send someone up to look at it. When we returned later that night, nothing had changed and we again had a restless night. On the plus side, they do have free drinks in the evenings and free breakfast in the mornings.

I had previously wrote a review and gave this hotel 5 stars but after some events I had decided to change and explain. First of alll to all customers be careful every 5 days you have a do not disturb sign on your door the manger WILL come in your room. I asked one of the mangers why and they said “ so we know you’re not cooking meth” .this seems like an invasion of privacy if I knew about this policy I would’ve kept my belongings hidden. Also customers listen close, also they didn’t check my room when I was there they waited until I was gone to do so.When you check in with a pet the people at the front desk will lie and say that’s it’s 50 dollars a day. THIS IS WRONG IT CLEARLY SAYS ON THE WEBSITE 50 per pet per stay. The owner knows this and trys to get 50 a day. BE CARFUL. I went to go get dinner one night and didn’t want what they had so I made myself two hot dogs , after biting into the first hotdog i saw mold on the bun. I went back to check and ever bun had mold on them. There is a couple good staff but the rest aren’t worth a crap. Also I’m here on a work trip and the fridge is way to small how am I supposed to keep food in there for work? And no freezer, my food is always hot at lunch. And on floor 7 you can clearly see where people have been trying to pry/break into peoples room. I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!!!

Absolutely disgusting!!!! They changed my room from a two queen bed room to one king and a pull out couch . Claimed I booked it when they went in and changed it . Walked in and the room smelled like straight cigarette smoke! The blanket for the pull out couch was disgustingly stained ! In order to get a clean blanket I had to use my personal phone to call the hotel because there was no info anywhere in the room on the front desk number. We had to go down and get it because they definitely didn’t offer to bring us one . Someone is not doing their job in housekeeping . I went to make a coffee the next morning in our room because they were out in the downstairs breakfast area, and there was an old coffee bag with mold !! Do not stay here ! It smells bad and disgusting

I stayed at Prado Friday, June 20. I chose the hotel due to pricing, location and positive reviews. I will not book again.

Upon walking in, I was surprised at how warm the lobby was. Being that it's Mississippi in the summertime, I dismissed it as the lobby door being open as guests come in and out. My room was upgraded from a king to a king suite which was a pleasant surprise. The staff was training, but every single person that I came into contact with was extremely kind and personable.

When the elevator doors opened on the 7th floor, I was surprised at how warm it still was, not to mention humid and muggy. My room wasn't much better - 75. I was only able to get it down to 73, once the sun went down. I spoke to a few other guests who said they stayed often, they said the AC in the main areas was always like that.

The room was quite large, bathrooms spotless. I appreciated the large closet and the mirror on the doors. My only two complaints were the sticky spot in the bedroom carpet and the lack of outlets. The one lamp that did have outlets, they didn't work.

The food was ok, the dining area crowded and a bit hard to get through, but it was nice having those options. Not the best food, breakfast was better than dinner.

I reported the AC issues to the front desk when I checked out. She told me that there was already a work order on the room which left me a bit surprised. Why put someone in the room knowing there was an AC problem.

If the AC was fixed I'd...

Let me tell you! This hotel is beyond amazing from the atmosphere to the staff! I had a mishap happen when I got there but when I tell you Sam stepped in and made everything more than okay! He was so understanding. My new girls Tonica and Tonette were nothing short of a blessing! When I say I needed that cry I needed it. My heart is so full. If we ever have a convention in that area again that’s definitely where I’m staying! The morning cook crew I didn’t get there name but that night crew and manager of the kitchen topped my stay off with smiles and amazing service! Ms. Mondria Sheriff, Carissa and Corley made the ending of my day great. From a smile to a joke to a simple conversation. I can’t praise them enough. They are the perfect team together. Now to the hotel lol they give u breakfast and dinner with 3 complimentary drinks for FREE! They have an indoor and outdoor pool. They have complimentary snacks when u walk in. The hotel was very clean from outside to inside. So many parking spaces. Two parking lots where u can only get in with your key card which I loved because how many times have you stayed and a hotel and had to park out the way. It was worth the drive and stay. The rooms have great light and the bed was very soft. My kids know I love doing reviews. My daughter said have you done your review if not...
