[T26Nov2024 review] Haven’t been to “Wuttah” in a long minute, and all I can say is,
“What a wonderfully delicious meal‼️”
Asked what Cashier recommends,
“Well, when I go on break, I’m going to have the chicken sandwich combo. That’s really good and what I would recommend.”
“Okay, but what about the spicy? Is it as good as Popeye’s Spicy Chicken Sandwich?”
“I haven’t tried theirs, but our Spicy is pretty good.”
“Okay, I think I will have the #12, but first I have to go check my sugar and shoot up. Oh, how big is a small shake [placed a 16 oz. styrofoam cup on counter], and do you actually add chocolate syrup and then mix them up?”
“Yes, and I make them up.”
“Cool; I’ll be right back.”
The freshly dropped breaded chicken breast and fries 🍟 were superb, and the shake brought me fond back-in-the-day memories of handmade A&W chocolate shakes delivered by shapely Carhops on skates.
Tonight’s presentation of my dining inside meal tray, sans 🛼s, was equally as pleasant and the perfect accompaniment to the Introduction and Chapter 1 of the interlibrary loan book that I picked up today from the Flora Library, i.e., The Nation That Never Was; Reconstructing America’s Story by Kermitt Roosevelt III [“...is a professor of constitutional law at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. A former law clerk to Supreme Court Justice David Souter, he is the author of The Myth of Judicial Activism, as well as two novels, Allegiance and In the Shadow of the Law.”].
John ig rhymes_with_i_dig’s recommendation, “Go getcha a killer spicy chicken chocolate shake combo at Whataburger‼️Five ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐s, all around and well worth the $11.87.” 🙂
[old review tagged as “3 years ago” on T26Nov2024] Wasn’t expecting much from earlier limp fries/lukewarm patties visits, but actually quite a kick as* well-dressed burger and CRISP onion rings! Even gave me the extra mustard I asked for. 😀😎 Minus 1 star ’cause no sear on the lukewarm patty—crank up the gas a lil folks!! Warm accolades for having Coke and Barq’s instead all those PepsiSLOW...
Read moreWent thru the drive thru and order 5 meals and a cinnamon bun. We check our bag as we're at the window because there was a very long line and wanted to ensure that if something was missing that we didn't have to try to go back thru to get it. We find out that we're missing a meal and a cinnamon bun, only 4 bags in the big bag, and tell the people at the window that we're missing food. We then go thru a more rigorous search process than what the TSA does and went thru the bag 3 times in the car with a manager standing there and speaking out loud what's in the bags. Then the manager wants to go thru it too to make sure we aren't lying that they left off a chicken biscuit, fries, and a cinnamon bun while unwrapping all the food in the drive thru. After 10 minutes of this process they finally conceded that they left out a biscuit, fries, and a cinnamon bun and go back in to get it. 30 minutes in a drive thru for food and 15 minutes because they made a mistake and refused to admit it, all over what cost them maybe $6 and us $12 and 15 minutes of our lives. Never again, I'll drive into Flowood or downtown...
Read moreAwful. Went through the drive through at about eleven pm and they had cars stacked up against each other to help with ‘window times’ so it looked to corporate that the car had gotten its food faster than it actually did. It’s a common fast food tactic. The trouble starts here. Because of the stacking of cars, when a person trying to leave was a foot or two away from our car, and they began backing up, we honked at let them know we were there.. They ignored us and backed up again, this time mere inches from backing straight into me on the passengers side. When m we honked one more time to prevent injury to our family. The manager proceeded to come outside and began berating US about how he wasn’t that close, and could clearly see us not to back into us. The manager had no right to step in and begin screaming at us, when all we did was gently honk to make sure someone didn’t hit us. No swearing, no rude gestures, just a simple honk.i wonder if the manager personally knew the person in question, but there was almost a wreak tonight had we not honked. I’m still shaking. We didn’t get the food and won’t be...
