Great location but noisy because it was next to highway. Noisy in general between guests not taking care when entering or exiting their rooms and or building then of course housecleaning had to do their job soo it definitely wasn't very quiet. . Friendly service. For the most part it was very clean. Hampton Inn used to be our go to but after this visit at this particular locatio we will definitely think twice. We were there 6 nights so we definitely have a good perspective from a customer pov. The bed was rock hard, they offered and did place another duvet under the sheet to help give more cushion but really to no avail though we appreciate their efforts. We even went and bought a cheap eggshell foam mattress topper but not much help either. The first room we stayed in had bugs from outside getting in through the closed window. When I pulled the curtain back the drapes and window had several bugs on them. When I first saw it on the wall I thought it was a roach but thankfully it wasn't. The key cards didn't always work and of course we'd find out at inconvenient times. A few times we had to get them renewed and when you're room is quite a distance from front desk ..oof, what a walk but hey exercise! I need to mention a couple of times we were almost locked out of the back entry doors as well and with it cold, wet, freezing and dark finding out your key card isn't cooperating needless to say it's quite an inconvenience!
Breakfast was ok..eggs not good, the bacon not good, the hash browns not good, so I ate the fresh fruit..delicious! Oatmeal, passed the test, orange juice and toast passed the test. I do wish the robust coffee was more robust!
Tv selections left a lot to be desired. The pool and whirlpool were nice to use but the sand pump wasn't working well and pumped sand back into whirlpool which means it wasn't filtering correctly and it appeared no attempts to even clean it up was made. I noticed no attempts during my stay of pool cleaning either.
The second room during this visit that we were upgraded to wasn't really an upgrade to us. It only offered a microwave and a loveseat. thankfully they didn't charge that rooms original rate. No bugs though. The mini fridge wasn't attached to the cabinet it was in so yes it would get pulled out each time...

Overall, the hotel, room, and amenities were pretty good. Bed was comfortable, wifi worked fine, and breakfast was nice. Another review mentioned that there is some closet space hidden behind the curtain near the window.
Two minor nitpitcks I had were: Limited counter space in the bathroom Limited drink selection at breakfast. There was coffee and a juice dispenser, but the juice dispenser only had water, cranberry juice (which one of my colleagues said tasted terrible), and tropical mango juice (was I had and was okay). It was a bit of an atypical selection since one would normally expect orange and/or apple juice. The eggs were very delicious and the bacon was good too.
The one significant negative that happened during my stay, and the reason why I put it at 3 stars instead of 4 stars, is the noise in the halls. During the night there were some noisy kids (annoying but not unexpected at hotels) but more alarmingly there was some sort of fight in the hallways of the 2nd floor. During the night, I heard some yelling and thought maybe it was some domestic dispute. But the next morning I learned from my colleagues and other guests that there was some sort of physical altercation in the halls. Someone got slammed against the wall/doors. And one of my colleagues even mentioned seeing blood stained on the carpet near their door. I have no idea if this type of thing is typical for the area/location or typical for the clientele, or if it was a black swan event...
Read moreBoy oh boy , the HAMPTON! Classic service here. The wifi was out & the staff had the perfect response to my question when it was going to be back on: “nobody else has complained about it so it must mean it’s back on” I mean that makes so much sense I felt like such a dummy for even asking. This man should quit & become my therapist because he made me feel like I was right back at home at the orphanage. Call me Oliver Twist.
That’s just just peanuts fam, do you like warm water? Neither do I. I like my water scolding hot or what’s cooler than being cool? That’s right - ICE COLD. alright alright alright alright alright.
Do you like watching tv? Neither do I. Love cuddling up to a book. All the channels were full of static. I couldn’t see Guam run at the Olympics. It’s ok I’ll catch it next year.
But the winner that warms my heart is the woman working the night of Aug 3rd. I called for toilet paper to my room because I’m such a dolt that I had Taco Bell, BIG mistake. I understand that was a bad move, that’s on me. I digress, I called for more toilet paper & her lovely response was “wanna come get it?” I mean I was over the moon it made me want to call my gf & tell her we’re done like the Venezuelan elections. I took my dumpy butt all the way down to the lobby to pick it up. I can’t wait to pick up towels next time. This place is hands down makes you feel like the king you should be but are not. My only complaint is that I wish they had rooms...
