Patrons please pay attention to the negative reviews also. The good reviews is what got me as well. I have learned most recently that a lot of companies nowadays are hiring people to leave reviews for them, that’s so obvious for some of these companies it’s sickening.
Regarding my review; First and foremost, the pictures are misleading, and the location can definitely use updating. There were far too many holes in the wall inside the room. The ppl around the premise seem a bit shady. I will NEVER understand why if you are in place where English is the predominant language why you don’t speak. Ppl shouldn’t be allow to simply say they don’t speak it because HOW CAN THEY HELP!? They simply can’t. I saw a few reviews regarding the air. Aside from the fact that it doesn’t work properly by the temperature as it should, it does blow right across the bed so it’s true. You either freeze or sweat.
When I initially arrived, Customer Service was good, it was a tall male, non-American. I say that because I don’t know his race. He took some time to get me situated even though I had previously purchased my reservation. When I finally got to my room I forgot to ask, I called to the office and asked if they allow late checkouts, a different gentleman asked me what time. He approved the late check out for just two hours later than original.
Low and behold the next morning I had several disturbing knocks at my door from Room service along with some other female, no idea who she was supposed to be. She advised me that they do not allow late checkout. Go figure. It’s disappointing when companies and their help can’t be on one accord. The customer service was completely lacking and the idea of her help lying to a patron wasn’t even entertained.
These ppl get together to run these Businesses and all they want to do is take your money, they could care less how u feel.
With that being said I wouldn’t book here again, I’ll spend the extra $30 and stay else-where. My res. Was for $80, but it...
Read moreWe stayed at Econo Lodge 8/8-8/11 and was very disappointed. Asked for additional towels and were treated like we were going to steal the towels. They weren't that nice of towels that they would have to worry about theft. After our first night stay, we requested a room on the other side of the hotel due to the highway traffic noise. Both nights in the other room, we were disturbed by the tailgating party that went on in the parking lot till late in the night. We did not complain to management because it was obvious that they were fully aware of what was going on and did nothing about it. Our car was out there and we did not want it to be the result of any retaliation. We only ate the continental breakfast 1 morning due to our schedule, but we felt like we were being watched like a hawk as to what we ate. Then we had problems with our key cards not working. We were told by management that we kept them too close to our phones. This was not our first time at a hotel with key cards, we know better than to put them by our phone. On our last night we came back to the hotel only to not have working cards. We went down to the desk and again were told the same thing about the phones. Gave us new cards that didn't even go in a pocket, were held in our hands till we got to the room. Didn't work, called to the desk and an employee brought up another card. He tried the ones we were given and they didn't work for him. He then accused us of putting the cards by our phones again. Told him that we held them in our hands, but he wasn't listening to any of that. Never again will we stay...
Read moreI was staying with my children and other Special Olympic athletes. When we gathered in the lobby to meet for dinner, the desk clerk/manager/? called me over and asked me to move everyone outside. When I questioned him, noting that we all were paying customers, he informed me that he had other people coming to check in and he "did not want them to see us"! Stunned, I asked what he meant by that and he dropped his head and said that we were too loud. He could not even make eye contact when I asked him to be honest, as we both knew he was being discriminatory toward our athletes with special needs. Due to the Special Olympics tournament, among other things, our team was unable to find different lodging. So while my personal room, and multiple rooms reserved by our Bloomington/Normal team (SOAR), gave this man a great deal of business, it was not without great regret. I literally could not even sleep knowing that this man was so disrespectful. It sickened me to give him my business. Had it not been for my children being with me, I would have slept in my car instead of giving any money to this establishment. In 25 years as a mom of children with special needs, I very rarely run into hatred, bullying or discrimination. Most of the world, thankfully, knows better. Your...
