My husband and I picked Fairfield in Rolla after our wedding day. We are marijuana smokers. We are 34m and 31f. It was our 14th anniversary and we decided to get married. We spent the night at Fairfield inn located in Rolla MO due to the reviews being great and everything. We get there and it is nice. It is comfortable. We check in we go upstairs and we get settled in then roll a cigarillo. We go down to our vehicle and smoke in the vehicle then we go upstairs to our room. The front desk individual Elijah was fine. I had to call and get another set of towels and he had me come down and pick them up. We had another smoke session in the car and on our way back in we picked up the towels. We did use the desk in the room to roll up we also emptied the tobacco into the trash can However we not one time took a lighter and lit up in the room we went out to the vehicle. It was strong marijuana so it did leave an odor. We need our $250.00 refunded. We will never being staying in another Fairfield hotel. Being discriminated against this hard on our wedding night. Just because there was an odor of some strong marijuana and cigarillo tobacco and remnants of marijuana being in the room does not qualify for charging me $250 smoking fee when there is not ash or blunt roaches in the room. Because we never smoked in the room. you can review the surveillance system the night of May 9th 2025. We parked a 2014 gold impala on the right side of the building. We sat in that car and smoked. We left the building multiple times at least twice the night of May 9th then the morning of check out we left at 10:30am and did not smoke in the room that morning either...
Read moreWhere do I start, so we stayed here due to a family member in the hospital in Rolla mo. My sister booked both of our rooms from the looks outside a great stay seems to be coming but there was problems. 1) my room had bugs and in the middle of the night they got into my drink sadly I did not figure that out til after I took a drink. 2) the back parking lot by the lunk fence off the side of the pool door that smells that of stray cats urine and feces. 3) the pool door only opens to let you outside it is very aggravating when you can't get back into the hotel that you just walked out of. 4) my first morning looking forward to a wonderful breakfast in the early morning, I gathered all my food that smelled amazing they we out of potatoes and biscuits and this wonderful lady Julie (lovely lady at 8:30am) heard me say no potatoes and no biscuits told me "I will get those for you" keep in mind there is less then 29 minutes left for breakfast. Excited I am about get those lovely breakfast goodness I get ready to sit down and start my hot breakfast. However I was stopped by a older woman who told me I need shoes if I want to have breakfast. Not leaving me to my breakfast first day she left me no choice I had to leave my hot breakfast to go put on my shoes. When I got back my food was cold and I love a hot breakfast not a cold one this woman was one of many reasons why I would hate to stay again! However out of all these problems my favorite person who went farther than she had to was Julie she made my stay not with just hot food but with warm conversation as well. Thank...
Read moreThis hotel would almost be perfect except for the super strong fragrance (cleaner as they say) used on the carpet in the room. It’s awful. We have two rooms and both rooms as you open the door are overwhelmed with a terrible fragrance as you enter. We hoped airing it out and running the fan would help but came back to the room and it was just as bad. The manager on duty was very nice but said it’s cleaning products and all rooms would have it when trying to move rooms. We will be moving back to the Hampton Inn from now on. Seems like the smell is coming from the carpet so maybe we hit a bad week where they just shampooed them or dumped a load of fragrance on it. Either way, not paying to stay here again.
Also if you get a room on the front of the hotel, the highway can be loud.
The room and building is very clean and kept well besides this but seriously the amount of fragrance in the carpet makes your eyes water. Worse then the Vegas Marriott properties and lobbies with pumped in smells. Evening staff and morning staff were great and that’s why I have the 5 star service review. If they fixed the rooms carpet issue this hotel would be great. Even after our 2nd night you are hit with the fragrance when...
