LongHorn Steakhouse — Restaurant in Rolla

As I continued to think about this I realized that the reason they did this to was was racially motivated as my Wife is Asian. All the other people they seated without this delay were all caucasians. The 1 star is purely due to the story following related to the rude hostesses. Visited on 3 March 2024. Time of notice the seat was ready was 5:27 pm. Finally seated at 5:33 pm. Both hostesses were rude. We received the text that the table was ready but when we went to the hostess station she said they were wiping it down. So now we three are standing around the front door in front of the station and in everyone’s way. They then proceeded to seat a couple that walked in without waiting after telling them there was a 15-20 minute wait. They were seated in the same size booth we were seated in 6 minutes later. I am certain they were given our table. They then asked my name again and then proceeded to call another group and leave us standing there again. Finally, after 6 minutes from receiving the text that the table was ready they took us to a table that was still being wiped down, so there we stand again in the middle of the restaurant. The seats were not cleaned so I asked if she could get us something to wipe the seats down with. She just looked aggravated and walked away and handed the menus and silverware sets to someone else and motioned with her head towards us. Then she got some napkins and wiped the seats off, grabbed the menus from the other person and just motioned us toward the seat, placed the menus and silverware down and walked away. The waitress was very nice and polite. The side salad was very good and the ranch dressing was fantastic. The tea is excellent. Three different entrees, sirloin and shrimp, strawberry salad, filet mignon with brussel sprouts, all were excellent. Bread served before meal is fantastic. Serving time is great, the place was packed and we had our food in about 20 minutes. Everything was hreat except the rude hostesses. Been a fan of LH for many years and between all the locations i have visited is hit or miss. despite being recently open i had high expectations specially for an early wednesday night. is my opinion in the service industry all the responsibility falls 100% on management, if managers are not supporting their new staff the service will always suffer and the new staff will suffer. the restaurant was not packed at all and the service was really slow. our waiter looked new and certainly couldn’t keep up or be attentive with only 3 tables. she only showed up 3 times and one was to first time to greet us and took all the orders at once. we ordered apps wild west shrimp, very salty but good and brought fairly quick, for entree i order a ribeye medium and chicken parm, the ribeye was served well done and again extremely salty, fries not fresh but eatable, not burning hot food but not cold either. i don’t complain about the steak because i didn’t want to continue to wait. overall food ok but slow kitchen with the food or new understaffed for a newly opened restaurant. i highly doubt that i will come back to this restaurant, not worth the food, service and definitely...

Greeted properly at the door and seated quickly. Food was great, properly cooked porterhouse. Juicy and flavorful! Mashed potatoes and corn all fantastic!

But let's talk about what's more important, Madison!!!

Madison was my server and she was fantastic! On point, very attentive, cheerful and brought my food out hot right after it was cooked.

I normally dine alone and most often forgot but not Madison! Never once did I have to look for someone for water, desert or anything, she was absolute fire!

So we all know Longhorn is a hit or miss, but stop in Rolla for some great service from some real good people!

2nd visit.

Josh was my Server and the dude was on point! Attentive, polite, and "heard" every ask. You can tell this cat has been in a kitchen. Knew when to come by my table and knew when to let me eat. Perfect service!!!

Ribeye cooked to perfection, fire roasted corn was 🔥 and stuffed baked potato was cooked just right.

Keep doing what your doing Rolla Longhorn woth the staff, you have excellent choices in front of house and back of house....
