We stayed at the Guy Harvey Resort for a week. Check in Sunday and Check out the following Saturday. On the initial drive into the resort the building, signs, etc looked exactly like the pictures online. Even the rooms looked exactly like the pictures online. Within a 5 minute drive from the resort you have grocery stores, pharmacies, and gas stations which makes it super convenient. There are tons of restaurants nearby within walking and driving distance which was great as well. The historic district is about a 10 minute drive but there is a beach bus you can get on that will pick you up at the resort and take you downtown which was super convenient as well. Walking into the Lobby to check in the place was super clean and the staff was super friendly. Cheryl @ the front Desk was amazing. She checked us in and was super friendly and her customer service skills were on point. The room was amazing. The view of the beach from the poolside balcony was awesome. We watched the sunrise every morning we were there. The restaurant on site had great food. The gym was small but all the equipment was new and clean. It was a nice gym for a resort/hotel. The laundry facility was great. You use your room card to get into the laundry room. The machines are free you just have to supply your own soap. That was very unexpected but something that I did love. The tikibar by the pool was great for drinks. Donna the bartender @ the tiki bar on-site was amazing. She was super friendly and makes a great chocolate strawberry daiquiri, great mule, and a great MaiTai. The beach access was great. A very short walk to the beach. The beach was never overcrowded which was super nice. I don't know the names of the housekeeping staff but they were phenomenal as well. We always saw them out and about cleaning. They definitely take pride in their work. The pool was super clean. The staff is out there every morning cleaning the pool, wiping down the tables and chairs by the pool. They blow off any sand by the pool and gazebo steps each day as well. They offer free pool/beach towels and sunscreen if you need them which was super convenient as well. This resort is definitely family friendly, kid friendly and even pet friendly. They do live music at the tikibar Wednesdays thru Saturdays which we enjoyed. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Guy harvey is a great and nice place to stay to have a great time and not break the bank. It was our 20th wedding anniversary and Guy Harvery Resort definitely helped make it one to remember! We're already planning our next trip to stay guy harvey resort!

My recent stay at the resort was pretty great!! Minus a few occurrences…. One of the mornings of my stay. I woke up around 5 AM to use the bathroom and noticed the rug was sopping wet which I found weird but of course the lights were off so I couldn’t see anything and I walked into the bathroom and almost slipped and fell down. Luckily, I caught myself!! It was a close one. The toilet hose was leaking all over the place causing puddles throughout the whole tile area and the rug area, almost all the way to the bed. I had to use all of our towels to clean up the floor, having none to use for a shower that morning and I couldn’t go to the bathroom that morning… Wetting our suitcases on the floor.. We called maintenance and they came within the hour to fix it but that did hinder our morning as we had to wait for them to get there and then still had to wait in our room while they were fixing it… I spoke to the front desk about this that morning and the day we left, and they only seemed to care that the rug was wet after we checked out. It smelled like mildew in the room. They said they’d put in a work order for that and handed me my bill... I was a little put off by that as there wasn’t a follow up on the leak and they only cared once we left to resolve the smell.. i just didn't want to be charged for their mess/issue.. I also had elderly grandparents who stayed there with us who multiple times had to use the stairs because the elevators were not working throughout the week. Even when one was working the other one wasn’t and it took a very long time waiting for one. Most of your staff was very friendly, especially the waitresses and bartenders!! There were 15 of us… big group were kind of disappointed a few times sadly … I never write reviews but I just wanted to inform you of these negative issues with my stay and still thank you for the positive experiences we also had, the pool and beach were beautiful and clean.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, so much, that i extended my 6 night stay to 7 nights. I booked a solo birthday vacation here. As a woman, i felt very safe throughout the resort, not once did anything happen during the week that made me feel uncomfortable. In fact, everyone was so friendly & nice - staff & guests. My top floor direct pool/oceanview room was breathtaking, sometimes it was hard to leave my balcony. On-site, they have everything you need. I had calamari from the on-site restaurant Santiago’s that was tasty. They had morning yoga classes - one of which i attended which was lovely - the 2nd class i attempted to attend the instructor didn’t show up which was kinda weird & a bummer (4 people showed up to go to that one). Good lobby coffee. Easy beach access w/ chair/umbrella rentals (although i brought my own). Super pet friendly resort & dog friendly beach - my bulldog was living his best life. The pool was great for the days you want to skip the beach & i absolutely loved the poolside tiki bar - amazing frozen drinks & a musician even played one night! I only wish the tiki bar was open a little later - like 9 or 10pm. Other reviews talk about the noise but even directly overlooking the pool, i didn’t have any issues sleeping. Folks do stay out at the pool till about midnight but it didn’t bother me - I’m a hard sleeper. I even moved to a 2nd flr oceanview room even closer to the pool on my last night there and the noise still didn’t bother me. Which that leads me to my only downer of the stay - i stopped by the front desk, ironically on my birthday, to request an extra night because i already knew 2 days in i wanted to extend my stay. The front desk lady informed me that my current room wasn’t available for extra night but she could move me to 1st flr, same side of building (pool/ocean). She told me that on checkout day of the old room, i could move directly over to the new one and she even hooked me up with a birthday discount. Fabulous! I show up on checkout morning to discover there was no record of the reservation. I panicked - having my dog with me i needed to have an air conditioned place to go! Thankfully, Ray, made it right and honored the discount that was quoted and was somehow able to find me a 2nd flr oceanview room (with a better view than the one originally offered) & she put a rush on housekeeping so i could move directly over from old room. It ended up working out smoothly very last minute so thanks Ray! Lastly, to end this novel, the resort is in a great location as well. I brought my electric scooter w/ me and it was perfect for zipping around St Augustine Beach. I only left the resort/Beach Blvd area to drive & go explore downtown once because there was so much to see & do near the resort within...
