Read the individual reviews!!! I should have gone to burrito works, just north of here!!!

I was duped by the 4.7 star ranking (as many other reviewers stated). There was one other table seated in 'the outside area' when we arrived. Our server was terrible!!! I literally had to yell to get his attention for 2nd drinks ($11 house margaritas), he kept avoiding our table in the corner, even though the two other servers were doing fine tending to the tables in the room.

The food was okay: small portions but fair for the price. Chips tasted store bought, salsa was pace picante at best (as others have reviewed). No rice with the 'combinations' and only shredded chicken or ground beef as options. When our dinner arrived, my son's "chicken" enchilada was simply a tortilla with sauce on it (no ingredients inside). I had to whistle at our server to get his attention and point this out to him. They did replace it with a new one.

After all four of us were clearly done eating (napkins on plates & stacked). I asked our server for our check please. 10 minutes went by.... the table across from us then asked their (different) server for their check, it arrived, they paid with card, server ran card, returned and they signed & left... Still no sign of our server, nor check. At almost 20 minutes of waiting for our check, I walked to the cash register to ask for it. Our server saw me and only then brought it to me 10 feet from him. There was a line out front to get into the restaurant at this point. Why wouldn't they want to get us our check and clear our table? I wasn't going to wait for our server to run our credit card, so I pulled out cash, trying to figure what kind of tip to leave (not wanting to wait for change either). Only then, the owner came over to talk to us. I described our frustration, she asked "how can I fix this?" (At that point, you cannot! In fact, you made it awkward for me while trying to count out my cash for a non-deserved tip!) The owner kept saying "this is a family business" (so, most Mexican restaurants are), then she tried giving me an excuse: "our kitchen is really backed up..."

  1. it was not backed up when we ordered our food with only 1 other table occupied

  2. what does a "backed up kitchen" have anything to do with terrible service (not checking on drink refills, chips & salsa) and taking 20+ minutes to bring a check to a table after they requested it? Nothing!!!

Our bill was $115, including 2 margaritas each, for my wife and I.

Anyone who gave this place 4 stars or above must have been part of the...

I'm gonna preface this with saying that my wife and I have eaten all over this country, from new Mexico, to Texas , to California, to Idaho, you name it. This was hands down the worst experience I have had in eating out in 31 years.

I ordered an Al pastor burrito and my wife ordered the chicken molee. The server told me it's extra for Al pastor and I was more than happy to pay since it's a more expensive meat for the the restaurant to serve. However when I finally got my burrito , if you can even call it that, it was 80% befriend beans , 10% lettuce , 9% rice and 1% Pastor. If you're gonna have the audacity to remind me it's extra at least put the meat in the freaking flour tortilla. Spanish restaurants that do this dirty trick are usually just ripping off unsuspecting customers. Refried beans , or beans of any sort really are just a filler so you can keep your margins high. This burrito was the worst meal I have ever eaten. But if yall think that's bad wait till the next paragraph with my pregnant wife.

My wife who is visabily very pregnant and who is due in 5 weeks at the time of writing this , ordered the chicken molle. My friends and I all go the food we ordered while she remained waiting , surely they couldn't forget her food of all people. When we me mentioned that she was still waiting the look of " i forgot her food" washed over the servers face. Then 25 minutes later he brought out her food but when she got it something wasn't right. My wife asked my friend and I to try her chicken to make sure that she wasn't going crazy , it wasn't just undercooked , it was so undercooked that you could mistake it for being raw. This tried to serve this to my wife who is SO PREGNANT SHE IS SHOWING!!!!! Yall have completely lost your minds.

I can go on and on. I can go on about how we ordered a side of mollee sauce that was $7 each and arrived half way through our burritos. I could go on about how they think sopapias are tortillas with vanilla ice cream and cinnamon. I could go on about the house margaritas that was basically made with lemon juice. I could go on about their absurd pricing, but I'm not Anthony Bourdain and I'm not writing a book.

Don't eat here. Don't feed your dogs this. Don't feed your enemies this. Don't pay this place any mind. You're literally better off with taco bell. Youre better off buying some tortillas, making some ground beef and just eating that. This is a disgrace to Hispanic food everywhere. 0 out...

Waitress was fine food was decent at best . The prices were pretty high for what you got . Big downfall we came in with a party of six and only got two free bowls of chips and salsa. The party beside us came in with a party of two and got one free bowl of chips and salsa, then they proceeded to tell us we had to pay for the next round of chips and salsa. That’s a huge no go for Mexican restaurants , Literally the only one in the area that doesn’t give you more than one bow for free. But even looking past that like I said, the food was OK Best. The music was also obnoxious Extremely loud could not even talk and place orders without yelling, but that’s OK. I can deal with that kind of to be expected.. A Mexican restaurant without free chips and salsa is like a Texas roadhouse without free rolls. If you’re paying that much for food you should get the free before hand. . My suggestion being from the area drive a couple of miles more and go to Cantina Louie, unlimited chips and salsa and better quality food same price . Owner say free is a luxury and I wouldent get it anywhere else but yet like I explained you can go right down to cantina Louie’s which is much better food and atmosphere and most other Mexican restaurants and get free unlimited chips where most people only get 2 rounds. This place is cashing in on tourist who don’t know...

We decided to dine here for dinner last night (8/31) somewhat at the last minute and not too long before they closed at 8pm. We arrived at 7:15pm and were seated immediately. Two other tables came in after us, as late as 8pm and were all seated with a smile. They are understaffed and they are honest about that. It didn’t seem to impact service nor food quality, in my opinion. The two servers working the entire restaurant knew what they were doing and were efficient. The kitchen was also super fast. All 4 people in my party had our meals in under 20 minutes. I ordered a house margarita and it was a great, no frills beverage. For dinner, I ordered the 2x combination with a chicken tostada and beef chimichanga. It also came with rice and refried beans. We shared chips with guacamole, salsa and queso. All were among the best I’ve had, and we frequent Mexico. There was a solo guitarist playing Mexican music as well. Added well to the atmosphere. This isn’t a fake 5 star. I genuinely can’t think of anything I would recommend improving. Made me feel like I was back in Mexico!

This place is absolutely, hands down, the best tasting, the most authentic, ethnic restaurant I've been to in the past 10 years. Easily an 8.6 out of 5. A real hidden gem. Don't come here expecting the same old Tex-Mex slop. This small, traditional eatery is owned and run by a family from the Yucatan and it is SO good. The interior is authentic and very clean. The seating is well spaced, both inside and their nice screened-in porch. Even the music was pleasantly appropriate. Their salsa tasted so fresh, as in made this morning. They brought out our sides of rice and beans, and even they were totally delicious. Definitely 3 or 4 stars above even great Tex-Mex fare. The mains of shrimp tacos and mole chicken were cooked to perfection and utterly delicious. Portion sizes on everything (including desert) were overly generous. Sign coming in said to expect minor delays due to staffing, but our service at 12:30 on a Thursday was very, very fast, warm and friendly. Easy off-street parking. We will definitely be back.
