Came here once before, actually, a couple of weeks ago, and it was great. This time, I am so disappointed, I will probably not come back. I had a $20 order and left a $6.00 tip, over 25%. I order a veggie sandwich, and an Uprising, a cold brew drink. On their menu they detail out everything in each drink. The Uprising mentioned a banana, cold brew concoction, and Peanut butter. It does not mention dairy at all. I politely asked the worker if the drink had dairy after taking only a couple sips of this blended smoothie. She said yes, whole milk, and half/half. I mentioned I could not have any dairy and asked if the drink could be remade. She said yes, with almond. I waited and as I started to eat my veggie sandwich, I realized the drink never came. I went back to the little window and inquired about my remake when I was welcome by the same lady who took my original order. I guess she is the owner. She said, "Do you want to buy another drink, you ordered it, do you want me to eat the cost". I replied no however I mentioned the menu not having mentioned dairy in this smoothie. I told her I would pay for it, and I did. She asked me if I had $3.00 and I gave her a $5. She proceeded to give me two dollars back, which I replied, you can keep it. I guess she did not hear me, so I put the additional $2.00 in the tip container. A smoothie without dairy is not unrealistic at all. I will probably not come back just because the attitude was poor! Excuse me, I do not want you to eat the cost. The sandwich was a far cry from good too, not like the last one I got from here, inconsistency I see! It was sloppily put together, and the "warm pita", it was supposed to come on was not warm at all. It was a salad in a wheat pita basically! Hopefully you will have a better experience going forward, like I did...
Read moreDo not be deterred by the food poisoning review! This place is super high quality, clean food. After looking for plant based food on google, I came across Stir It Up. I saw the review that someone had recently posted claiming food poisoning. I almost did not come but I am so glad I did! Seeing the owner's respectful, thorough response is what pushed me to go see for myself. The food here is amazing and handled with such care. The ingredients themselves are clean and pure. I have a very sensitive system and have to eat plant-based and dairy free. This menu is not only clean but also very flavorful which can be hard to find with plant based food! I ordered a few things and ate them over a few meals and everything was amazing, tasty and flavorful. The homemade dressing is out of this world and makes every dish on the menu come alive! Thank you Stir It Up management for your wonderful response to the man either mistakenly or falsely claiming food poisoning. Your response and the many other great reviews was the reason I came in. The community will continue to support your food! And thank you to Cara, for helping me walk through the menu during my first visit last week when I didn't know what to get. I will definitely...
Read moreThis place is deceptive. I biked over a mile to try Stir It Up and was extremely disappointed with the experience. While the burrito ($8.75), extra chicken ($2), and chips with guacamole ($4.95) seemed reasonably priced, there were numerous unexplained charges, making it unclear what I was actually paying for. The food was dry, and the burrito was small. I ended up spending $31.46 for a meal that didn’t meet expectations. Due to what looked like an approaching storm coming, I couldn’t fully check the charges and had to leave quickly on my bike. When I questioned the high price, the staff said "eating healthy costs money." They offered an extra water as compensation, but I couldn’t carry it on my bike, so they insisted on giving me a bag. I’m including pictures of my bill and screenshots of their website prices. I strongly advise against dining here—you’d be better off trying the taco shop and the corner for better quality food without being blindly charged for random things. It is sad that they would do this to a local—one of their own. Not...
