I always use their airport parking and never had a problem--but yesterday when I arrived at Ft Myers Airport at 10:30 am and I called for the next shuttle, I was put on hold for several minutes at which point I hung up and called again. I was told by Mari at the desk that their ONE shuttle was broken and no pickups for another 1-1.5 hrs!! She said "around 11:30 or noon" I asked if there was no other option and she said no, I could take a taxi or Uber to their parking lot. It was 95 degrees outside and with my elderly mother, I wasn't able to wait that long with no guarantees for the shuttle van at all so I took an Uber back to Courtyard. There were several people waiting for Ubers in front of the hotel as well, they looked as angry as I was! When I arrived at my car at the Courtyard Parking lot, by now it was 11:15am, the Courtyard shuttle van pulled up the driveway, and a heavyset black male driver got out and went inside. He did not appear to check the van or the tires, did not arrive with any passengers, was he just showing up to work late??? There were also 2 "Residence Inn by Marriott" shuttle vans parked directly across the driveway as their sister property is literally in front of Courtyard. So the shuttle van was back and nobody was informed! Mari the front desk clerk could have been more informed and proactive, and sent the Residence Inn shuttle to pick up customers at the airport. When you check in for airport parking, you have to indicate in writing when your return date/time will be along with your cell#. So they knew, but did not inform customers. I asked her to call me if the shuttle did become available just in case the Ubers would delayed, and she did call me at 11:50 am to tell me the shuttle was available. Wrong. I saw it with my own eyes, the Courtyard shuttle pulled into the driveway as I was getting into my car. The whole point of airport parking is to have transportation from your car to the airport. Paying $25 for an Uber was unjustified and unnecessary if their shuttle services had been more customer focused and aware that they had clients waiting to be picked up as well as taken to the airport. I feel there was something else afoot and I was lied to and abandoned at the airport....
Read moreStaff including General Managers are very rude, they just hear your complain once and will drop the call, sticking their firm policies without understanding customer concerns. They don't care Customer Satisfactions. They absolutely not worried if you change your Marriott chain.....
I have been staying in this hotel for the past 2 days. Before and after I came to this hotel I called many times to request a King Spa room as soon as it became available. But I was never updated for the same, even though it got available later. Today it got available, so instead of waiting on it, I booked the same and that new room is exactly the same as the existing one. Right after I checked the room which is not like the one I wanted, I immediately cancelled the same so that they can give it to someone else. But now I just realised that it charged me a big amount for cancellation which was exactly the same as the current one. I talked to customer service and they said you need to talk to hotel staff but I got very bad experience the first time with Marriott with such unprofessional staff. When I complained about this, the staff was very rude and they told me that you can move out. When I said this is not good, you did not inform me and when I did you should appreciate and support me.Should I swithc to another hotel chain?? I have been told that We don't care where you stay and they also said you can change the Marriott chain itself if you are not satisfied with Marriott hotels. I always book hotels from Marriott only but this is my very bad experience and I have been punished for no reason. I know this might be my mistake that I booked from the website but my concerns are very genuine and I am not telling anything lie. If the other room is exactly the same as the current one then why such a big cancellation charge? Why should I pay for the rooms which are exactly the same? Only because you have a big cancellation fee and you want to make money from it? I already cancelled it and it's ready to use it for others. And I can still see on the website that it is available for booking.
See below pictures and you will understand the customer concerns....
Below is the picture of room which...
Read moreI purchased a property in Ft Myers. I was exhausted after arrival. Slept on top of bed used spare blanket. Made cup of coffee in morning. I purchased heavy cream and raw sugar at Target. Had meetings with business people all day. Made a cup of coffee when I returned and requested more . I went to get the cup of coffee and hundreds of tiny bugs were all over the cup and counter top. A female worker had brought my coffee up . I showed her the bugs and she could not believe it. Eyes wide open !! I called the front desk and told them. They said that unfortunately maintenance was gone for the day. The employee had returned with a male coworker and he had a spray bottle. They sprayed the entire counter and pulled the refrigerator out and sprayed there. They sprayed the furniture where my clothes were stored. The woman helped look at my clothes with me to see if there was any bugs. I packed everything. I pulled the covers back on the bed and found some black pieces. I called Mariott, After only asking if I was a Marriott rewards member 6 times was I able to talk to somebody. The reference number is # 489029943. I brought the card with the sample of what was under the sheets to the main desk. I told them I was looking for another hotel nearby at 8 PM. I have travelled the world. I have never experienced such responses and noncaring in my life. Someone was supposed to call me in regards to this. Not one phone call !! So if you think they are so good, wait until you have a real problem. BTW I used to book the Marriott Waterfront twice a year at Baltimore Inner harbor for 8 years straight until the riots destroyed the area. I reserved the most expensive rooms there. So not my first stay with a Marriott. No one cares. Not one phone call. Enjoy your stay !!! Update...they called 2 days and a new hotel later. The woman apologized. She said that they were not spiders, they were ants. I never told them they were spiders . They definitely were not ants I looked at descriptions of every ant that were within that size range. So Since I did not say they were spiders most likely they were. Hundreds. And they were rude on the phone....
