Hotel Review: Hilton Garden Inn – Fort Myers at Gulf Coast Town Center ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Overall Experience)
Sometimes the best stays are the ones you don’t plan—and that was certainly the case at the Hilton Garden Inn in Fort Myers, located directly across from the bustling Gulf Coast Town Center.
We arrived unannounced at 1:30 in the morning, tired from travel and unsure what to expect. To our relief, we were warmly welcomed by a friendly and professional front desk clerk who not only greeted us with a smile but quickly found us a room at a very reasonable rate of $120 per night. Her positive attitude and hospitality set the tone for a great stay.
The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed for a one-night stopover. The beds were cozy, the amenities up-to-date, and everything felt fresh and well-kept. While this wasn’t our first time staying here—we’d enjoyed the property years ago—it was reassuring to see that the quality and service have held steady over time.
The location is another standout feature. Nestled just across from Gulf Coast Town Center, it’s perfect for easy access to shopping, dining, and entertainment. It’s also close to Florida Gulf Coast University, making it a convenient stay for visiting parents or prospective students.
In short, this Hilton Garden Inn delivers on every front: welcoming service, clean and comfortable rooms, and a prime location. Whether you’re just passing through or in town for a few days, it’s an easy choice—and one we’ll gladly make again.

Read moreI just would like to say I have stayed in so many Hilton garden inns. The breakfast crew here was fast and efficient. There was a Spanish lady sitting at the bar doing nothing the whole time with a man who is balding and heavy set . I also saw them making a mess and having other people clean it up. And then I went and spoke to them to ask about dinner and a reservation and the woman could not even speak English and told me there’s no reservations and the dinner is not as good as breakfast. Now I’m not sure who she is or why she said that but I always stay here and I always get reservations for 25 plus guys of mine to eat and relax after working all day. I also don’t appreciate that we could not understand her when she spoke . Also she was rude with the way she was looking at me and the tone of her voice . She needs to work and understand she’s not an owner but a worker . Also last time I stayed here 4 months ago was the best experience I’ve ever had and then I come back to a hotel with mold smells and service stinks / the food is over priced for basically Perkins style food/ the drinks are double charged but weak / Margie who I talk to regularly left because of hostile work environment and poor management skills from the team and employees/ the staff here all need to be replaced and start over from scratch and also do some upgrades on the building to ensure customers safety and satisfaction. This is an unfortunate and unacceptable please to stay . I’d also like to say that the rooms are awful...
Read moreWe had booked a King Jr Suite, the room and it was a little dated, the bathroom had some mold and rust spots on the floor/baseboard, the air conditioner unit was VERY loud, the toilet was dirty, shower leaking, no fan in the bathroom and to add to it, two mornings in a row we were woken by construction noise above us (the hotel is currently remodeling). When we called the front desk to complain they said the construction workers were not supposed to start until 10am which was a lie because then we were told 7am, regardless the front desk staff did not seem to care. We spoke to a manager and she switched us to a Non-Suite room which is all they had left on the first floor on the end where the construction workers were coming in and out with construction debris (so the door was constantly slamming), and the room again had some mold/rust spots in the bathroom but at least the air conditioner was quiet. The hotel also advertises hot tub and pool outside, the hot tub the entire stay did not work and when I asked the hotel staff they didn’t seem to know when or if it would be fixed. A few days prior to this stay we were at a Mainstay Suites in Fort Myers which honestly was way nicer, newer, cleaner and the kitchen was huge (almost full size fridge)….this cost us $80/night, had I known we would have had so many issues at the Hilton we would have stayed at Mainstay...
