Went there for our first time at Bell Tower on Friday September 10th. Let's see they built a really nice place only to serve mediocre bar food. We sat at the bar and service was non-existent. We had to ask twice for bartenders to wipe the bar top from the other patrons who were there before us an an dirty towel was used. Ordered the French dip with french Fry's and fish and chips with roasted vegetables. The French dip was cold and had very little meat on the sandwich. We asked for extra tartar sauce when we ordered the food as we were sharing and only received a quarter of one little souffle cup, what are we supposed to do with that? We had to ask for extra plates, we also had to ask the barback who was there for some setups since the bartenders were too busy putzing around. At the end of it all I went to the restroom and as I walked out something was very slippery all over the floor that seem to be oily. I informed the hostess at the front desk with one of the managers who was there and all he did was say sorry about that with a weird smirk on his face. He seemed only to be more interested in joking around with the staff and not being attentive to people's needs. He didn't even move a muscle to look at what might have caused somebody to slip and get hurt. I've been in the restaurant business for forty years and I would never have anybody like that working for me. A nicer restaurant that was there before you had shutdown don't think you won't either if you keep this type of service up. Last but not least when we paid the bill the bartender asked if you would like a drink to go and I said sure I will just take a to-go cup for my water he said okay no problem and then ignored it. He even look back up several times at my water and still no cup. Why bother asking if you're not going to provide the service. It was an absolute horrible experience. Not to mention food and drinks were overpriced for what you get. Nothing worse than being excited over checking out a new place only to be completely let down. When people go out to eat it's not just for the food it's for the experience and ours...
Read moreOn June 22, 2024, my wife and I stopped at Burntwood Tavern located at Gulf Coast Town Center in Ft Myers. Since we were previous residents of NE Ohio we patronized the Chagrin Falls location since it had opened and always enjoyed our meals. We were so happy that the Gulf Coast location opened in Ft Myers. Tonight we arrived around 7 pm. The restaurant was nearly empty and was like a freezer inside. We elected to be seated outside since a previous rain had cooled the outside temperature. We were seated and provided menus by the hostess. We watched as two waitresses attended to other patio seated customers but ignored us. A third waitress came out and bused a table whereby the customers had just left. We spoke as she passed in and effort to gain her attention, but no such luck. It may have been only 10 minutes, it could have been even more, but still no acknowledgment from any waitress or staff. We then decided that due to the lack of any customer service and decided to leave. As we were leaving another waitress was walking towards the patio. We stopped and informed her that we frequently patronized the restaurant and explained that we thought the service today was extremely poor. She remarked that she was just coming to greet us. She stated that she was sorry, but her tone was a little sarcastic. I understand that there is a chance that there can be problems with staff or kitchen and always try to give a benefit of a doubt. However, this has not been the first time that this has occurred at this location. In the last several months we had poor service such as today on more than one occasion. This restaurant sure does not meet the standard of the Burntwood Tavern that we were accustomed to. Customer service skills were totally...

The service (4/5): The service was very kind, polite and helpful. They could have come a little more frequently though. But still very nice people there!
The restroom (4/5):
the room in general:
After finishing that monster of a burger I took a short trip to the âM roomâ. The restrooms were hidden all the way in the corner of the Burntwood Tavern. The restroom consists of 2 urinals (one low enough for kids) and 2 cabins. One cabinâs also handicap-friendly. However the Baby Changing Station was in the main room and not in the bigger cabin, like jeez give that kid some privacy. The restroom was also well installed with 2 fire alarms and some vintage looking mirrors and lights.
the cabin:
The cabin wasnât too crazy, but therefore held in some pretty clean conditions. They also went for a more simple toilet paper holder, that could only hold one roll. However they got more rolls ready to be used right on the toilet. Not very fancy, but efficient.
Lets talk about the sink. The water coming out of the tap wasnât really under pressure. It was more like some sprinkling. The soap gets dispensed by a sensor in very small portions. The soap wasnât really anything special. Kinda foamy, but the smell was very light.
Also why isnât the mirror above the sink? Itâs on the other side of the toilet. I donât know what they wanted to achieve by building that in, but itâs unique. Definitely was an experience watching myself use the restroom.
Again I couldnât find an emergency cord. I wonder when Iâll find...
