My girlfriend and I stopped into our local cotijas to get burritos like we do almost weekly. When we arrived around 5:30, there was no one in line in the restaurant or in the drive thru, we knew what we wanted to order so we went directly to the counter to order but there was no cashier in site (we could hear laughing and talking in the back). I made eye contact with the cook and smiled but he completely ignored me and continued chopping onions without telling anyone we were waiting to order. 5 minutes go by and we make eye contact again but again he ignored me and continued to prep. It wasn’t until someone came through the drive thru a few minutes later that the cashier saw us and immediately came to take our order. We ordered 2 veggie burritos with grilled veggies and chipotle sauce and then mine was without cheese or sour cream because of my lactose intolerance. The cashier didn’t understand that we wanted veggies in the burrito and then confirmed with the cook who ignored us that they could put bell peppers and onions in the burrito. When we got the burritos, one was labeled no cheese no sour cream so I took a few bites and discovered that it had cheese and sour cream. If that wasn’t bad enough the onions and the peppers were completely raw! We had asked for grilled as is standard for most burrito places I’ve been to anywhere. Because of all these things happening together I am writing this review. Sure I’ve had people make my burritos incorrectly before, but because these were made by the same cook that completely ignored my girlfriend and I, it felt targeted. Whoever was on the grill 7/9/24 at 5:30 needs to be disciplined....
Read moreToday, January 17, 2022, at approximately 12:10 pm, I went to buy food at the Cotijas restaurant on Market Street, I lined up in my car, I went straight to the screen where the order is made through the horn, it lasted approximately 15 min and no one attended me or answered me when I spoke to them (through the horn), I saw that there were two more cars in front of me, so I thought it was useless (the horn), I went to the window to be attended and the cashier tells me that I should ask for the horn, I explained that I already had 15 minutes there and nobody answered me, so she told me that I had to queue again, so I had to get out of the car to talk to the manager, who He is very kind, and I explained the situation to him, he immediately took my order and asked the cashier to collect it, which he did very reluctantly, the manager explained to me that they had a lot of work and to be patient, I told him that he could wait, if only the cashier had answered me on the horn, like I would know that if it served and that they knew that I was there queuing to order, in the end I can say that the staff, both cooks and manager, are very friendly but the cashier is very rude. As for the food, it's very tasty, so I'll keep going shopping, but I hope that cashier doesn't serve me again and if she does, she'll be more friendly and...
Read moreSo late post.... I ate from here two days ago amd ordered on doordash. I have to say since I moved to the area this is by far the best Mexican food I have had so far. I had the carne Asada mini tacos which are pretty much what I know them as street tacos, and they were delish! Meat was tender and seasoned well. The rice I ordered was perfect as well. Some places are bland and this rice hit the spot. I also really like the red salsa, it had a nice kick amd good flavor which is hard to come by. I would make a suggestion.... to add a salsa selection for online ordering especially because you don't offer a section for special requests. Which I feel is needed as well. Thank you for not forgetting anything in my order and for nicely packing it. No one takes the time anymore especially cuz we ordered late at...
