I typically book my hotels with Hotwire due to their “hot deals”. This was the hotel that was picked through that deal. I needed a pet friendly hotel and one room for two adults. We checked in and got into our room, 706. It was a small double bed. This bed absolutely does NOT accommodate two adults, unless both adults are petite females, which for context it was my self and my almost 6 foot tall husband. We can back down, and I talked to front desk. They said I’d have to pay extra to upgrade to queen. I told her I booked a room for 2 adults, that bed does not comply with what I booked. She apologized to me and said the best she could do was give us a queen and we’d have to pay the difference. Fine, I said. We were then given room 710. We go back up the elevator to the 7th floor. I see room 710 and there is a ‘do not disturb sign’ on the door. So I knock just in case there’s someone in there. Nothing. I knocked again and nothing. So I open the door. And the room is dirty. The bed is disheveled as if recently used, the counters are dirty, the window is open, and the trash was not removed. So back downstairs we go. Front desk apologizes again and personally goes to check our now third room. She returns and hands us a key to room 609 and states she personally checked it herself. At this point I am just turned off by this hotel. We decide to stay because we already parked out car in a locked garage that already closed for the night and at this point we are exhausted. In future trips to San Francisco, I will not stay here again. Staff was courteous and friendly which was great. But overall just turned off with the hotel esthetics, the amount of noise, the neighborhood did not feel very safe and the fact that the hotel has the audacity to state two adults fit comfortably in a double size bed they have. No they do not. This is false advertising in my opinion, that bed is not even wide enough to hold two average size males comfortably. And honestly that’s what bothered me so much about this hotel. The fact that they were not able to accommodate two adults...
