Great entertainment and customer service experience, but the food was just okay and a little expensive.

My husband and I visited B&B on recommendation from our hotel concierge, and we were not disappointed! We purchased tickets for the 7:00pm show and made our reservation for 6:15pm. I was worried that would be too early, but it was actually perfect. We got our drinks, apps, and main meal served before the performance began, so we took our time eating the main course and dessert/drinks during the show. The food was okay - I got the catfish since it was labelled as a popular item, but wasn't particularly impressed. Husband's shrimp and grits were pretty good, though. And the service/wait staff was quick and efficient throughout the evening. The show, service, and atmosphere was fantastic. The band we saw - Cafe R&B - was excellent and was well-known to several parties in attendance who were excited to see them perform again. The place itself is an intimate, dimly lit room below street level with small circular tables. You'll be packed in like sardines, but it really just adds to the energy in the room during the performance. There are several large booths on the perimeter that are great for larger parties. Attendees were well-dressed but casual and clearly prepared to enjoy themselves. I loved to see that the crowd was a mix of just about everyone - retirees, young professionals, large groups, couples, friends, families, and all of various ethnicities and lifestyles. During the show, it was clear that people were getting lost in the music - swaying, dancing, laughing, and closing their eyes to just feel the music in their soul. In all, a fantastic experience that I would recommend to anyone looking for a fun...

Good food. Great atmosphere. Great live music. HOWEVER - Be aware of the time you arrive and when shows start. This was our first time as we just walked by, read the menu and decided it sounded fun! At the host desk we were asked if we had a reservation- we did not, so they said they’d “have to ask the manager if any tables were free” after some recon sounding calls on their phones, they responded “They said we can seat you.” We also were not aware that it was $45 per person for the music in addition to dinner but ok. We paid $90 to get in. What THEY FAILED TO TELL US AND COULD HAVE was that there was less than 30 min of music remaining. When the act was over and most patrons were leaving, we asked if there was a second act. Our server told us yes, but that we’d have to pay for another show. When we asked why we were charged full price for 20 min of a show, she offered us a discount of $30 each. Geez. The show didn’t start for another hour after the first one ended, so we declined. We let the hosts know that it was really poor service to act like it was some big favor that we were allowed in and to take our money for 20 min of music remaining. They apologized and said we could stay but we were pretty off put about the whole sleazy feeling thing. So if you go - just make sure you are aware of show start and end time first. It would have been worth it had we seen whole show. In house staff were attentive and food was good. I’d have given 5 stars for service if it was based on in house staff alone. For its proximity to Union Square, the food and drink prices are a value. I hope I can save someone else from experiencing what we did with paying full price for the tail...

Thank god they were open about 645 Friday night. I was staying at the Donatello one building away. I ate dinner at Morton’s walked to union square was walking back from hotel. I start getting chased by a homeless man I run into the business and hold the door shut because there was no lock. I begged with the Asian lady working to call cops. She ran out back door. Treated me like I did something wrong after I just left dinner spending 250 on myself she treats me like the homeless guy. She’s very racist she needs a reality check. But the guy working downstairs came up after the homeless guy left he was very nice. But the only person who could have helped me in the middle of it ran out back door for me to fend for myself in a zombieland city. She really owes...

I was lucky enough to catch the opening week of biscuits and blues. Finally it’s back after being closed for a few years and it’s as good as ever. Sugar Ray Rayford was playing the evening I was there. Fantastic high energy performance, great band and music. The food quality appears to be very good and prices are reasonable for the Union Square area. I had the Caesar salad and the fried chicken, both of which I thoroughly enjoyed and the biscuits were absolutely fantastic. Service was efficient even though they were working out some opening kinks. I think they’ve kept the show prices as reasonable as they can. So glad to see the venue up and running. Best of luck to them for future success!

Visited Biscuits & Blues on my first night in San Francisco. Awesome, little blues joint with friendly waitresses and good drinks. I was excited to see Christone Kingfish Ingram. He absolutely blew the lid off the place. Seeing such powerful music in such an intimate setting is a real treat. I unfortunately didn't try the biscuits, that's on me. Just an excuse to go back! This is a must stop experience for and blues fan. I really wish I lived closer.
