Mendocino Farms — Restaurant in Santa Clara

Came here with a big group of friends on a Saturday night to eat with my friend for his birthday. Since we were a big group, we sat outside and it was easy to rearrange the furniture. We also had two dogs with us and we were happy that we could have them join us.

The store looks new and it's in a very spacious parking lot and plaza. The service was quick and easy. Everything was clean.

The only thing I ever get is the superfood avocado quinoa salad, but after looking at the menu, I decided to try their seasonal offering, the Sweet Peach & Goat Cheese Salad with shaved, roasted chicken breast, sweet peaches, hot peach honey, marinated goat cheese, honey roasted almonds, pickled red onions, fresh mint, shaved fennel, romaine, kale, mixed greens and farmhouse vinaigrette.

Do yourself a favor and don't get this. The vinaigrette was so tart and the vinegar made me choke. The peaches were diced, not sliced like in the photos. The scoop of cheese was minuscule. The chicken felt like cold, refrigerated, processed chicken, not fresh. The was no balance in the dish. I ate this sadly while watching my friends get my favorite salad. This is the last time I'm trying anything new from Mendocino other than my beloved quinoa salad.

Giving this four stars because everything else about the restaurant was great and I know that their avocado superfood quinoa salad is the best thing ever.

Sweet Peach & Goat...

My sister and I regularly frequent this Mendocino Farms as it's on my way home from work and they have some really great gluten free options. We always get quick service and have been pretty fortunate to never have a mistake on a pick up order which doesn't happen often these days. Yesterday, when I got home with our food I noticed my gluten free sandwich was definitely the wrong order. Frustrated I called the restaurant ready to take out my "hanger." The manager John happened to answer the call with lots of care and compassion noting the frustration that comes with not only a wrong order, but with not having the option to eat at all since it wasn't gluten free. I feel like a lot of the times I have issues with take out orders in other restaurants as I've been brushed off, but John was willing to make the situation right. When I went to pick-up my new sandwich there had been a manager swap, but even then the manager on duty (I failed to catch his name in the rush) was quick to provide me with my new sandwich and have me on my merry way! Can't recommend...

Usually enjoy Mendocino farms food! We regulars, but this time around a bit disappointed with how service handled our order. It was pretty slow in store, and we placed our take out order. Customers that came after us were served before us after waiting 20 minutes. We were watching them pack orders and a customer who ordered after us, were given our take out order. They opened the bag and touched our salad and sandwiches and then realized that it wasn’t their order. They went back to the counter and the service person proceeded to place the items back into a bag and called our names to pick up. Knowing that the sandwich was exposed and touched the other customers hands, we wanted a remake. Honestly extremely surprised that they would serve food that were handled by other customers. We asked them to remake it which took another 10 mins. Overall food is good, service can...
