Starbucks — Restaurant in Santa Clara

Having just written a long-overdue glowing review of the great service at Starbucks (other nearby locations), I encountered my worst-ever Starbucks experience at this location, Wyatt, just off Montague Expressway in Santa Clara, on Sunday morning at 8am. They had been open since 6:30am but you wouldn't know it -- comatose from start to finish; sorry I left my customary tip in good faith ... stood at the counter for a good five minutes before one of the preoccupied five staff behind the counter decided to look up, acknowledge me & reluctantly take my order, that she had enormous trouble comprehending & executing, even though I had to repeat my straightforward, simple, customary order of a Vente-size decaf three times ... (I speak clearly, btw). Holding my breath that she would get my iced decaf-to-go right, I was not rewarded; she got it wrong, including my name (short common name) which I had to repeat three times, then finally spelled out. Yikes. What a complete bummer on a Sunday morning. And I was the only customer in there! I know this location is newish, but c'mon -- what the hay?! Starbucks needs to send an undercover employee in there to witness the bad attitude & ineptitude that is so...

If there was an option to give no star, I would do that! this is one of the worst locations of Starbucks. I ordered for a white chocolate mocha in whole milk with whip, while taking the order the guy at the counter didn't pay proper attention and was interested in holding hands of his girl friend! the young girl who made the drink made it in 2% milk and when I asked she was 'oh! its the same as whole milk'...The guy came over and said 'oh! I didn't pay attention...do you want it in oat milk?!!!' duh! he said we'll replace the drink, but the girl who made the drink was not happy and grudgingly made the new drink, I had to stand there and watch her make the drink coz their expressions were like.....!!!! another twist - finally when the drink came I asked did you add whip cream? she would have thrown that whip cream bottle on my face! grumbling she added the whip cream...

Usually have no issues with this Starbucks as I work nearby and come in frequently. However, last week (8/28 to be exact) I had a mobile order that I went in to pick up, and there was a very rude employee who pulled back my food item (which had been ready and sitting on the counter for at least 10 mins), and told me I needed to wait because the drink might not be ready. Mind you, I had no drink with my order. Which she would have known if she glanced at the sticker which read "1 of 1" items. Once she realized she just shoved the item back toward me and turned around. Unbelievable.

I would put 1 star but aside from her, every other employee I've encountered there...
