My husband and I love going to outback. We always have great food, great service, and great drinks. But last night was the worst experience we have had. My brother in law and his wife are here to visit and we all agreed on outback because of how great it always is. First off, the food was burnt. The steaks were burnt on the outside. My sweet potato was cold and hard by the time it got to me. My sister in law’s pasta was over cooked and stuck together. The worst part was the service. Our waitress, Leah S., was clearly high as a kite when she was working. She was distracted, paranoid, and had to repeat everything we said or asked 5x because she was so high she couldn’t comprehend what we were asking. She would randomly take our drinks without asking if we wanted another refill, she had no idea who ordered what whether it was drinks or food. When we asked for the receipts, she brought us the two you can sign, one customer copy and one merchant copy. When we asked for an itemized receipt that she should’ve brought automatically, she brought a crumpled up copy that she had thrown away when printing our tickets. We signed, got out of there, and she chased us down accusing us of STEALING HER PEN!! That was the last straw for us. Hence why I am leaving this review. Outback on Cerrillos, if you see this, you need to toxicity screen your employees and keep them accountable while they are working. My husband and I might not come back after...
Read moreCold beer and decent food. Not really a local hangout, yet has a cozy feeling. Usually I come here for the bottomless lunch. Today I'm in the mood for a steak. I explicitly asked to not have the over-the-top Outback seasoning. My waitress typed in all the instructions to the letter. She was awesome. I opted to be able to taste the steak and have it seasoned with garlic-salt and pepper. Just the way I would do it at home. I opened the meal with a cold Blue Moon with an orange wheel. Surprise there is no orange wheel here. The Blue Moon was served with a wedge of orange. Ok, not bad. First go round and total fail. I ordered a mid-rare sirloin. What I got was hardly that. The seasoning was only garlic and no salt or pepper. The temp was mid-well. Come on guys. Listen to your waitress. She knows what and how I ordered that steak. Sent it back. Let's hope round two works better. Well, round two was not much better. They got the seasoning right. This time the meat seemed to be just hacked off the cow and seared. Some people like that, I do not. The cooks seemed to have phoned it in and lost the passion for good food. Sent it back and the Manager got involved. Third try was right. Seasoning was on point and steak cooked right. The Manager should not have to get involved.
The waitress(Stephanie) and the manager are the heros of the night. The kitchen needs to go back to culinary school. Or at least ask their parents to...
Read moreIt was a disappointing experience and I do not think that we will visit Outback again. We ordered the Aussie-3 course meals. We placed our order and and our appetizers came out promptly. We had hardly started eating the appetizers when our entrees were brought to the table as well. Our server asked if we found everything in onder, we informed her that all the food arrived almost at the same time and our entrees would be cold by the time we got to eat it. She just smiled and gave a generic answer and walked away. By the time my appetizer was done, my Mac and Cheese was cold and very unappetizing and of course my burger soggy and cool. I asked for a box to rather take my food home. Our server Denae brought the boxes and asked if we were ready for the check. We told her no because we still had to order our desert that was part of the 3-course meal. She took our desert order. We left with multiple take home boxes and yet our server did not offer a bag to make it easier to carry all the containers. This experience was definitely a GREAT disappointment and sad dining experience. For a quality dining experience: NEVER bring the appetizers and entrees minutes apart. NEVER let your diners feel like you are eager for them to eat and leave. If you are not including condiments on the table, servers should offer them...
