My husband & I booked this hotel as our place to stay for OUR VERY FIRST TRIP TO SVANNAH,GEORGIA. We arrived around 5:30 p.m. on Friday October 18th. The lady that checked us in was extremely nice professional. Shortly after checking in things started to take a turn for the worst though. The elevators do not work we had to walk up and down three flights of stairs. The ENTIRE 3RD floor smelled very strongly of weed. There were kids running all around the parking lot outside kicking basketballs into other people's Vehicles literally. It was like one big ass party was going on. And on Saturday morning around 4:00 a.m. we were awoken to the room next door to us blaring their TV at full blast. Like literally. I called down to the front desk. "Janae" what's the work on duty she was extremely rude, and unprofessional. She hung up on me three different times was laughing thought the whole situation was hilarious . She also stated that nothing would be done about her Behavior because I wouldn't be able to get a hold of a manager. She would not give me a manager's name or contact info š³š³ my husband and I finally walked downstairs to the front desk asked her to please move us to a different room since she refused to even contact through next door to ask them to please turn the TV down. She then moved us to room 405 we had to walk all the way back up three flights of stairs go get our stuff walk up another flight of stairs drop the stuff off we could carry and then go back down a flight of stairs get the rest of our stuff then go back up another flight of stairs back to the 4th floor. I literally just had major back surgery couple months ago. IT WAS AWFUL. Second room that they moved us to had a toilet paper roll on the toilet paper holder and then there was an already used rolls still sitting in the Shelf which tells me that they did not clean the room after the person before us checked out. They do have a very small stove like area but no pots pans etc. 99% of hotels if we've ever stayed out always have blackout curtains the only thing that they have is a small blind and the extremely bright lamps outside shine right into the rooms we had to literally put a sheet up in order to block out at least a little bit of light. Hands down one of the absolute worst experiences we've ever had with a hotel. We most definitely will not be staying there again and I will do my best to try and warn others before they book this hotel and then they cannot get their money back. Don't want anybody else having to go through everything that we just went through this weekend. Also I forgot the ad that they also charge for Wi-Fi which I've literally never heard of at hotels we've stayed at dozens and dozens of hotels and I've never had anybody charges for wi-fi. But after we checked out today they took more money out of my checking account supposedly for Wi-Fi bill. I encourage everyone to please free these reviews and then think twice about checking into this hotel. It's an absolute freaking nightmare. What was supposed to be a special weekend for my husband and I are very first trip to Savannah Georgia turned into an absolute nightmare a traumatizing experience literally. I just had back surgery a couple months ago having to walk up and down the stairs made it to where I literally can't even hardly move today I'm probably going to have to call out of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAt first the hotel was nice, room was clean but then once we checked in the room the TV didn't work. So we had to move rooms. Fortunately it was on the bottom floor across from where we were. But that's probably the only good thing about here. Everything else is all bad... The hot water cuts in and out when you take a shower. No one comes by to check and see if you need your trash taken out, new towels or anything. As an ex housekeeper for 6 years this is by far the worst hospitality ever. You definitely have to supply everything yourself. The laundry room is robbery, $4 to wash and $4 to dry, the washing machines do not wash your clothes at all and leave your clothes stinking. You have to dry your clothes on high for hours before they are actually dry. And most of the dryers don't dry and some of the washers don't fully spin your clothes. So you're better off going to a laundry somewhere else. Next, the Internet is not internet, you have to pay for premium wifi that is not premium at all, you can't even be on your phone or stream your device without it buffering or kicking you off, they you have to call a number constantly just to get nowhere, it's only 5 mega bits for $20 monthly, you can't even hook up a game console. Then during our stay some people with kids at least she 10+ moved in the room above us, they were constantly running around, moving furniture, and vacuuming when there are hardwood floors, constantly running up and down the hallway etc. Called front desk a few different nights and complained about the noise. One girl said that it has to be be during quiet hours and then they can do something about it and they claimed it was after 11 but I had a baby with me so why should I have to let my baby's sleep be disturbed because they DONT want to call and tell them that it's quite hours. Not only that but the parents of the children were never there because they were always running around the room and hotel. Youre better off calling the police for a noise disturbance. It was even well after 1am and these kids were up running around. They have they young guys that walk around the hotel asking for things, walking in the rocks by your window or standing outside your window or a few times I have been in the hallway and they would hurry up and walk behind me just to look inside of our room. Also the fire alarm goes off almost every other week and most of the time in the middle of the night. I think maybe this place could have some potential if they worked...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreROACHES EVERYWHERE!!! We booked this hotel for a two night stay for May 30th - June 1st. The staff checking in was not welcoming and unfriendly. After first entering the room, it had a funny smell but appeared to be clean. We attended a concert that night and had explored around downtown afterwards. Upon returning to our room around 2:30am, we turned on the lights to see an infestation of roaches of all sizes, all over our stuff, walls, and floors. I immediately grabbed my phone to take pictures because I could not believe what I was seeing. I then called the front desk and told the worker that we had just came back and our room is crawling with roaches everywhere. Her response was āoh my godā and confirmed the room number that we were in. I told her I had photos of all the roaches if she wanted to see and she said āno I believe you.ā I expressed to her that I was not happy and asked if there was a different room or anything can be done. She hung up the phone to check and called back to let me know if I came down to the lobby, she would switch the room.
I headed to the lobby while my friend began frantically packing and shaking out all of our belongings, which had roaches in them (pictures attached) . When speaking with the desk clerk, she informed me that there was an apartment complex renovation going on and they had all of their tenants living in the hotel. She then said āwe are going to have to do something about themā referring to the residents and insinuating that the residents from the apartment complex were why they were having a roach problem. The staff seemed to be aware of this issue and did not care that this was going on. If the hotel is aware of this issue, they should NOT be accepting reservations. This is completely unacceptable and disgusting.
We then got settled into our new room on a different floor but now had to deal with the rowdy people above us stomping and being loud. We had attempted to look for different accommodations, however, because of all the events going on space was limited.
The staff was rude and dismissive, showing little concern for our experience or comfort. Cleanliness and customer service should be a basic standard, and this hotel failed on both fronts. I would not recommend...
