Stayed for 3 nights in total, and it was a decently comfortable experience with many small problems. The main problem was awful wifi internet service. Decent speed wifi should be free for this price point hotel, but $4 a night isn't deal breaking, however I wish it was advertised. The main problem is that it was unusable, as most of the time I was getting less than .4 of a Mb/s (as in megabit not megabyte) down, with very small sporadic jumps to the 2-3 Mb/s range with PAID internet. Their home page shows slower free internet you can use if you don't want to pay, but that would literally be less than useless speeds if their paid internet is so slow. Another problem was the electrical plugs and usb-a ports in the room. The room I was staying in had a duplex receptacle + single USB-a port on each side of the tv stand for the desks, and one of those duplex receptacle/ USB outlets at the bed. NONE of the usb ports throughout the room worked at all, the right side of the tv's duplex electrical outlets didn't work at all, and was constantly emitting a very high pitched jarring buzzing sound that would not stop unless unplugged. Along with all of this, the afternoon after the first night's stay I got a call while working from the hotel informing me that I had left all my luggage in the room and If I was planning on checking out, lol. Not a huge deal, I told them I had originally gotten the room for 3 nights so something or someone must have made a mistake and they corrected it. Like I said, not a huge deal, but with the host of other problems, it adds up to not a great experience. The rooms are clean and decorated nicely, with large 4k tv's, but under skin-deep are some problems that need to be addressed, mainly the god-awful internet that is...
Read moreI have to base the review on what I paid for this room. And I paid $950 to stay there for 2 nights with my family.||||Here is the story: I was scrolling my phone for hotel rooms for my daughter's upcoming softball tournament in Seymour, Indiana. I clicked on the top link in Google - GUEST RESERVATIONS- and mistook it for the actual hotel site. The room rates offered were high, but comparable with other places in the area so I booked the room.||||I immediately noticed that a large additional fee was added to my payment without my consent. So my quick reaction was to click to cancel the charge ASAP. It worked! I had canceled the $550 charge.||||I went to the actual Hilton site and rebooked. The new charge to stay in the same hotel the same days was $429, booked directly through Hilton.||||After realizing the refund had not come through I reached out to the GUEST RESERVATIONS company that I went through - and was told that HILTON/HAMPTON INN refused the refund and therefore I can not get the refund. I contacted HILTON/HAMPTON INN and was told that they did issue a refund for my cancelation - so now GUEST RESERVATIONS just scammed me out of -- not only the unapproved fee -- but the full cost of my stay.||||I took that info to Guest Reservations and they promised a refund , but then later changed their minds. Not sure how this is legal, but I think it is awful that companies take advantage of consumers in this way and allow them to cancel without being made aware that they will still have to pay for a room they now can't have - the rates were already pretty high to stay in small town Indiana but to pay $950 to stay here is ridiculous and I expect that Hilton would do something to protect regular people from being...
Read moreI started my stay at a neighboring hotel. It was DREADFULL! I stayed one night, and the next I checked into Hampton of Seymour. I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful Jennifer. I remember her name, as ours are the same. From the moment I walked in and was greeted, I was in a completely different world from the previous hotel. I stayed at Seymour Hampton for over a month for work. I don't have a complaint one about the place, even after a month. I started with a double bed room, and Chris at the desk gave me no issue on switching a room with less bed, and more space, as I was living there. The breakfast lady was so friendly and cheerful every single morning! The cleaning crew was so nice and no attitudes if u asked for towels! They gave us 4 towels, not 2!! The cleaning crew was friendly and would joke around. They would help u with choosing places to eat or whatever we chose to do after work. Everybody at the front desk was so nice. Always a smile, always friendly and always eager to help. I work on the road, so we are at hotels much more than our houses. This hotel stay was the best I have had. Thank you Seymour Hampton inners, for...
