I can't say enough good about my experience at Mattress Firm, Shakopee. It's interesting because sometimes you see reviews of products and people say that if they could give less than one star they would. Well...if I could give MORE than FIVE STARS, I would. Jamie and Derek, the manager, were extremely helpful in their guidance through the mattress and adjustable foundation buying process. In the past we have made some less than stellar mattress purchases and that had me paralyzed for this next purchase. Jamie spend over an hour helping me through the process, compare and narrow down. Through the process I determined that an adjustable foundation would be a good option for us. But I am also very price conscious. They found exactly what I wanted on clearance. Once it was time to place the order, alas...the split king mattresses that I was choosing weren't going to be available for two weeks. :-( They went the extra mile to come up with an option that accommodated our immediate need that we had due to the fact that my husband had broken his leg, would be having surgery the next day and was going to need a comfortable bed to recuperate it. It involved us taking an early delivery on our chosen foundation with an actual king mattress and once available that mattress would be swapped out for the split king that we wanted. The great part being that the option we were choosing was $300 more than the king mattress but they ate that extra money since it was their "fault"!!! When a problem arose with a malfunction with the adjustable foundation and we had had it less than a week, Derek arranged for it to be looked at the next day and also sent a replacement foundation along with the techs in case it wasn't fixable. And, he followed up by phone call the next day to make sure all was well and assured me not to hesitate to call him if future needs or problems arise. We will be receiving our split king mattresses in a little over a week and we look forward to that. But I have absolutely no reason to believe that our relationship with Mattress Firm will be anything other than what we have already experienced. We are extremely pleased with the whole experience and will be recommending Mattress Firm, Shakopee to our friends and will be returning there for any future mattress...

Steven was very knowledgeable and was a great help. Cant wait to try our new bed!!! Update….the bed wore out in less than two years. Sealy something or another 1800$ adjustable base. Couldn’t warranty because of a drink spill. Gave them another try with a nectar luxe. Staff was helpful. I was upsold to the best mattress cover that supposed to be “cooling” and stain proof and a lot more expensive than the others. Our biggest gripes are that this mattress will have you waking up in a pool of sweat and in the short time we had it the support just isn’t there anymore.Also the fabric around the mattress has work out in just a few months. Will be returning it for possibly a hybrid spring/memory foam mattress. Whatever you do DO NOT BUY the nectar luxe!!!! Went into this location to explain our frustration on the mattress quality and mattress protector. The store manager Casey wasn’t receptive to our complaint. Said we had to “prove” the mattress protector leaked, isn’t the small stain proof? As irritating as this is it wasn’t explained to us at the time of purchase. I explained this to Casey and his response aggressively was “IM NOT THAT GUY! As if I was accusing him of being “that guy” or like I was rude. Casey wasn’t receptive rude and raised his voice aggressively. We left and will NEVER return here. I’d avoid this store at all costs 110% unless you want to deal with someone who obviously has some customer service training to do, unknown how this person has the “manager” title. We’re going to check out another location, maybe they have someone who is a lil more receptive to our issue and can fit us to a good night of sleep. Yesterday my partner and I visited the shakopee Mattress Firm and found the perfect mattress for both of us. We had purchased a Sleep Number bed that did not live up to the hype, with back aches every morning, we needed the support of an innerspring mattress. We met Dan who walked us through the process of choosing our support level; firm, medium, or plush. He listened to what worked for us in the past and showed us models that were the foam innerspring hybrid like what we had prior to our sleep number. It did not take long to sort from our least to most comfortable as Dan advised a 3,2,1 method of weeding them out. We laid in the Beauty Rest Jennings Hybrid Plus and felt our hips and spines align, and suddenly the back and hip aches were gone. We found a mattress we LOVED, our only hang up was the price, $4600 was $1900 more than what we had just paid for the sleep number. Dan was able to sort everything out for us by applying as many promotions and discounts he could find, bringing our first pick into our price range. He also threw in a complementary Purple seat cushion for my home office (or anywhere) when I sat on the demo and liked it. It was a great experience on the showroom floor.
