Boy, this place has really gone downhill. I've been here twice in the past few weeks, and both times the service has been slow and indifferent - and the food has been a SERIOUS disappointment considering how good this restaurant used to be. On my last visit, there was only one employee in the restaurant trying to handle online orders and people in line. He kept apologizing, but where was the rest of the staff during lunch rush on a weekday?!
The poor guy seemed to have no idea what he was doing, and I had to wait another 15 minutes after I got to the restaurant for him to fill an order I placed online 20 minutes earlier. That's ridiculous.
The food prep area was a complete mess, and the quality of my meal certainly reflected that disregard for cleanliness. I could tell my burrito bowl was thrown together in haste - portion size was Chipotle-level skimpy (which used to be a differentiator for Qdoba), and the guy behind the counter seemed to choose random ingredients rather than pay attention to what I ordered.
Perhaps it's my fault for not paying close attention to what he was doing - but I had no idea whose order he was making as he fumbled through a number of online orders. (And is it really my job as a customer to supervise the employee? Where was the manager? Where was the rest of the staff?)
The entire meal tasted off, and if this is the new standard for quality and service at this particular location, I don't think I'll be returning...
Read moreI usually really enjoy going to Qdoba! I would suggest skipping this location, however. Maybe all of the staff are new? No one working the front line really seemed like they knew what was going on, or how to work together. The first person kept placing to go orders in front of the 2 customers actually in the store; the second and third employees were super confused. Eventually a manager came forward and told the first employee to stop until they caught up and could help the waiting customers. There was an issue with my burrito shell so they warmed up a new one and placed it directly on the counter (no aluminum foil)…I asked them to scrape the food into a bowl instead. The food looked terrible and didn’t taste much better. The credit card reader doesn’t work super well, and the receipt printer issues illegible/faint receipts. I asked the employees about it: nothing can be done, it’s an issue with the “bionic chip.” The other employee couldn’t keep a straight face at this, but agreed there was nothing that could be done. I think both employees need some additional training on thermal printers, or appropriate POS support procedures. Overall, the restaurant felt greasy, the staff were not helpful, and the food was subpar and I was concerned about the cleanliness of...
Read moreI am providing another update to this review. We went to Qdoba again and the service just keep getting better. We were served by Nick and other team members at the restaurant. I had one of the best experiences imagined at Qdoba. The staff was nice, understood my needs, and Nick made sure we would want to come back again. This is by far one of the best Qdoba's, if not the best Qdoba, in Minnesota. We had a really good experience and I do hope they do not change the atmosphere there but only to make it better. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Thank you Nick and Qdoba for doing such a great job with your team.
I am changing my review because of the great customer service you gave us when handling the problem with our order. We had an online order that had many problems but they were corrected. We will not order online now because of a past experience and this can be inconvenient. In person, we usually do not have any problems. Thank you. Today is July 13th, 2022. I stopped by Qdoba for lunch and the staff was totally awesome. Frank, Sam, and Sofia was very kind to me and my son. Their customer service is unmatched. They are a great reason to eat there for a long time. Thank you Frank, Sam, and Sofia for making us...
