As a traveler with so many possible impediments it is great to know that there are places like this one. As to my surprise about three years ago, I stumbled across this home which to call it a guest house seams to be a bit of a common name for the lack of a better word. Not really some sort of blogger or review writer by any sense of the word. In reality this is my 3rd one ever.
As a frequent traveler I can say that it is rather easy to find so many things to pick at from the places we all commonly share a stay with to the places where we happen to eat and indulge.
However. My experience with Philip has been one of gratitude. His family being superbly humble, well traveled and by nature one of great care and appreciation for those that come into their life and their HOME.
We travel to the house on the yearly basis and hope to continue doing so. If you happen to want to go anywhere in this area of Massachusetts then you should by all means try and arrange accommodations there.
I noticed someone mentioned the family grown grain. Well this grain called Einkorn and the home made Einkorn PANCAKES made by Philip and his family are amazing. This grain is something I suggest anyone and everyone to please look it up. Its properties are amazing and the things you can make with it are magnifque! . If you happen to know what Lectins are then you should look into this grain.
Stay well and safe travels to...
Read moreMy husband and I decided to take a little get away to the western part of the state and didn't really have plans for accommodations, we were gonna wing it! Well, I'm so glad I stumbled upon The Dancing Bear Guest House and they were able to accommodate us. I was a little skeptical at first, because we had never stayed at a B&B, but I was very happy we went after arriving. The family was very welcoming. They had a ton of cool things in the home with stories attached to every piece. The breakfast was delicious. The house, room, and bath were clean, comfortable, and also filled with interesting furniture. Coffee early in the morning is always a plus for me! And Phil was great and a very interesting and knowledgeable guy. I love the village of Shelburne Falls, it is so quaint, beautiful, and for some reason makes me feel good just being there. I hope to come back and stay at the...
Read moreThere’s a comfort in returning to something familiar, especially after time away. Several years since we first found the Dancing Bear, it was a joy to return to this charming guest house in its lovely community of Shelburn Falls. Our engaging host Phillips warmly welcomed us back, remembering us from years before. True to form, he prepared scrumptious breakfasts to include our favorite - Ukrainian pancakes, both savory & sweet! The Bridge of Flowers was as stunning as ever, in no way faded from the hot summer temperatures. We enjoyed bicycling a new section of the Massachusetts Central Rail Trail, and has a great lunch along the way. No need to drive for dinner with outstanding restaurants within easy walking distance from the Guest House. For a relaxing getaway in a beautiful location, you can’t go wrong with the...
