WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I booked 6 rooms on March 20th for tomorrow April 20th for my family for a special event I am having. I received a notification that there was an attempt to charge my card for the hotels rooms I booked which prompted me to check my email in which I saw that all my rooms were canceled minutes before the charge attempt. I called the hotel and spoke to a guy in which he transferred me to the reservations line to rebook the rooms. The lady stated that the manager had canceled my rooms and she would have to rebook the rooms separately, so she put 4 rooms on one reservations and did the other two under my mom's name and guaranteed me that they would not be canceled. The rooms that were rebooked were canceled 20 minutes later. I had to go up to the hotel in person to try to figure out why this kept happening. The young lady said the manager said he canceled them because there was no guarantee that we would show up for the amount of rooms we booked. I talked to the manager Terry in which he proceeded to tell me that they charge everyone's card the day before (even though I've stayed there dozens of times and this never happened and he told the young lady something different) I proceeded to tell him my card only was charged because of a late cancellation from when he cancelled it and he kept suggesting otherwise. I then asked a young man who was checking in was his card charged the day prior in which he said no. Terry (the manager) then got really upset and said I was harassing his guest, he refused us and that he was calling solon police. Solon police arrived and untimely agreed with me as I had proof but still had to remove me and my mother from the hotel. I called and talked to another Hampton and they said the card is NEVER charged the day before. NEVER BEEN TREATED LIKE THIS...
Read moreBesides Brittany and Mr. Terry the General Manager being cordial, I was very disappointed as I used to live in the Solon, Ohio area. This Hampton is in desperate need of a major makeover. It smelled, and was just outdated. The room was clean as well as the bathroom but the smell was horrific. We just thought we could deal with it. It was very hard to sleep our first night with the smell on top of having to fly in on Spirit Airline being two hours late almost causing the Funeral Home to close early but fortunately they waited for us. Unfortunately My Husband and I were in town because My Father - in Law passed and that was made known. It was not Covid-19 but none the less still a painful quick trip. Not for any special privilege but as a Diamond Member and Team Member I was quite shocked that we were not granted one extra hour to check out. Our Flight was later in the day and My Husband just need a little more time to come to grips that his Dad was gone. The young lady on the desk on July 4, 2020 was very abrupt stating she did not have the housekeeping staff and e had to check out immediately. We did.... no problem. As a Front Desk Supervisor with limited staff as well, we go above and beyond to accommodate guests especially Diamond Members or anyone that even mentions they are in town for a Funeral....I know a lot of hotels are dealing with the grab and go bag breakfasts with numerous complaints. That also needs to be looked into because I was not a fan of the chocolate...

Plus it was just off of the freeway.
This location & staff exceeded any & all expectations. Super comfortable room, quiet with superb linens, there is something very special about Hampton beds & rooms.
This location also had new stand up showers ( No bathtub) Plus they had those new ZER0/o soap dispensers.
Our check in was efficient & very fast, as Stacey was a pro, kindness & willingness to go above & beyond at every step of the way. She even pointed out great local restaurant choices & upon our evening return, my cell phone cord died & she loaned me her own personal type-c cord. Much gratitude to her & for her.
The breakfast buffet was well stocked , the scrambled eggs & pork sausage were plentiful, as was fresh fruits, yogurts & bakery items.
Victor was our breakfast host, super engaging, hard working & Kind. Victor being new to the USA asked us if we liked water falls? We replied yes we love them, he pointed out Tinker Falls as a local favorite, just ten minutes away.
If you like to walk/hike & view beauty , add Tinker Falls to your list.
Hats off & applause to housekeeping as our room, hallways & common areas were very clean.
Only one small area of concern, the pool area needs better ventilation, the room was above 90% in humidity & not...
