So I want to put this review in because I went to longhorn yesterday with a group from church and we were going to go to Fuji and she told me they changed at the last minute I was kind of disappointed because I wanted to go to Fuji LOL however when I say this location, the food, the service was absolutely amazing even though we had a few issues
So I normally love my ribeye I couldn't get it because of a toothache so I ordered the shrimp I think it's called Red Rock over rice I got brussel sprouts and sweet potato everything tasted amazing!
However next to me it was a group of 10 of us and everything she ordered from the salad to her entree was incorrect or it was a issue even with her food coming out after they fixed it and redid the food they actually forgot about the entree we had to keep reminding them about her entree everything about her order was a mess finally
The lady that was treating us saw a manager walking by and mentioned it to a very nicely the waiter however I think he might have been new or just not aware of what was going on because he should have offered her her meal for free!
I'm not one to always want to go get something free when something happens but this lady her experience was horrible with how everything kept happening he kept forgetting stuff however he was good and did well with everyone else this order
Now another lady that was with us she said her red body was tough it looked great to me I'm not sure how she ordered it
Back to the lady with all the issues sitting next to me that manager came right over and said hands down your order is free!
I should have gotten her name I probably will come back and edit and put the manager's name in here because that's how we're supposed to be done... And of course the lady and her husband who pay for everyone else and I left a $20 tip we tipped and I have thought about that experience so much
I'm going to be going back this week LOL taking my husband those brussels sprouts were so good, the sweet potato was cooked too perfection and better and I like mine a little bit browner when I say it was perfection! It was perfection! The shrimp over rice was amazing
the lady with the ribeye she also ordered a cheesecake with some type of caramel pecan or something on it she let everyone taste it the lady next to her actually ordered one to go that's how good it was
And because I had to make a dinner run on Monday which is today I will be going back to get that cheesecake!
So we had a few issues we spent some good money there and the service overall was excellent even with the issues they were taken care of I mean it was just beautiful thank you so much for these services and again I'll be back for lunch this week with my husband LOL I'm so glad they open early at 11:00...
Read moreListen, I’ve had better dining experiences at a gas station sushi stand. Walking into LongHorn Steakhouse is like stepping into a time machine set to “1997 Cracker Barrel clearance sale.” The decor screams “we found a warehouse full of rusty spurs and sadness,” and the lighting is so dim I thought I was auditioning for a role in a low-budget Western. Ordered the 8oz sirloin, medium-rare. What arrived was a slab of meat so overcooked it could’ve doubled as a hockey puck at the local rink. I asked for medium-rare, not “cremate it until it begs for mercy.” The texture? Imagine gnawing on a boot that’s been left in a desert for a decade. I’m pretty sure my jaw filed for workers’ comp halfway through. The “seasoning” was just salt with a side of regret, and the mashed potatoes tasted like they were whipped with the tears of a line cook who knows they deserve better. The service? Oh, bless their hearts. Our server, Chad (of course his name was Chad), seemed to be practicing for the World Procrastination Championships. Took 15 minutes to get a water refill, and I’m pretty sure he was out back writing a novel instead of checking on us. When he finally showed up, he dropped the check like it was a hot potato and vanished faster than my hopes for a decent meal. The sides? The “loaded” baked potato was just a spud with a whisper of sour cream and a single bacon bit that looked like it was rationed during the Great Depression. The house salad was a bowl of lettuce so wilted it could’ve been a metaphor for my evening. And don’t get me started on the ambiance. The table next to us had a kid screaming like he was auditioning for a horror movie, and the sound system was blasting country music so twangy I started checking my shoes for hay. By the time we left, I felt like I’d aged 10 years and owed LongHorn an apology for expecting better. Save your money, folks. You’re better off grilling a burger in your backyard or just eating the $20 bill—it’ll have more flavor and better texture. LongHorn Steakhouse: where your appetite...
Read moreThis restaurant really need to increase the quality of their whole operation, specifically the food. Just to give an example, here's a break down off my meal which consisted of appetizers. Hubby 's bacon cheeseburger and FF.
The cup of French onion soup, the bread in the soup soaked up practically half the soup. Especially, in a cup portion, you don't put bread in French onion soup. I don't know, perhaps they ran out of croutons? The salad consisted of 99% lettuce. I hate these types of salads. The spicy shrimp appetizer was greasy and undercooked. The supposedly parmesan cheese French fries was flavorless and soggy. The 4$ ear of corn had what was supposedly to be cheese, but instead had a sprinkling of some type a flavorless white substance on it. It was probably "a cheese by product."
My husband fared a little better with his meal. His bacon cheeseburger was flavorful, but again the the FF left a lot to be desired.
Finally, first hint we should have have left. The outside patio seating area was not clean. Evidently, a plant must have been blown off of a ledge because plant debris was all over the floor. And I guess non of the workers decided it was in their job description to ensure it was cleaned up.
After dinner and later on that night, our dinners definitely did not agree with our stomachs.
Over the years hubby and I have dined at this location, and every time the food and service had been lackluster to say the least. Now the Long horn at the independence location outshines Solon's. Maybe it's time for new management in Solon? It's expensive to eat out and to spend 60$ on a horrible meal is ludricous,...
