04/21/2024: 5 STARS - I'm updating from a 1 star to a 5 star. It's been about a year since I've frequented a Longhorns because it sucked balls so bad. Well, they've either fixed it or I lucked up. Our waitress was nothing short of amazing. She was on it at all times. She slid refills in like a ninja or undercover cop. I didn't see her write a thing down, but our orders were perfect. I wish I knew her name because she deserves recognition. Waitressing is hard (so I hear), but boy, did she make it look effortless. She was just constantly moving, in and out only to reappear like a genie. Let's be clear, this review is all about her. Longhorns food is what it is. It's never the issue. But when I say clone this chick, they need to do it! 7/23/2023: HORRIBLE - 1 STAR - This is the absolute worst experience I've ever had at any Longhorns. This was the Solon location, which is usually my favorite! The food was good. The service left a LOT to be desired. She was slow on everything from taking our order, refills, bread, condiments, and paying. Actually, I had to take my ticket to her (she was behind the bar yacking) because I had been waiting on her for so long to take my payment. It was horrible! I will NEVER return here again. I'll drive out of my way to Indepence. Old Review⬇️⬇️⬇️ EARLY 2023 - 5 STARS The food is always good here. The service was phenomenal. She was quick, attentive, and very pleasant. Best service we've ever had at this location since Denise transferred (about 7 years ago).

My parents and I celebrated my dad’s 70th birthday last night, as this is where my dad chose to go. Amy was amazing by being attentive, anticipating our needs, and assuring everything was to our liking. She provided me the allergen book when I mentioned I was vegan. She also asked if I still wanted the cinnamon sugar when I ordered a plain sweet potato and explained to me it is separate from the butter, which was thoughtful. She was able to list off all the beers available when my dad tried to order one that was not carried. When the bar accidentally made a tall beer, she still gave it to us and noted we would only be charged for the short, which was nice. My mango margarita was so so good also, great portion and great price. Prior to arriving I called and explained to the manager that I had signed my dad up for the email club the night before, but assuming such short notice, did not receive the birthday coupon. She noted it was a big birthday to be celebrating and didn’t mind taking care of it for us. I’m not sure if it was the same manager, but when my dad tried to tip $200 it needed to be approved and while at the table she mentioned the surveys, which I’m sure often get overlooked. It was such an enjoyable and memorable night, and since we don’t have much family to do a large 70th party like some can, and my brother was unable to join us for dinner, it was still made even better with great food and great service. Please tell Amy how much she is appreciated!

The cleanliness of this location is appalling! Upon entering the restaurant, would not have prepared me for the sight beyond the hostess stand. Trash literally on the floor and staff walking over and on it like it's okay and still proceeded to do so when it was mentioned. While I understand being short staffed and busy, it also takes a moment to clean an area to make it more presentable than this. No effort to pick up the big items or silverware on the floor. While, we could have left, we decided to stay for two reasons (1) it was late and most restaurants were already closed on a Sunday evening and (2) our server Olivia did her best to accommodate our group. We do appreciate her service. I only gave 3 stars because she also did not try to clean up the area and proceeded to walk over and on trash on the floor. The kicker...the woman's restroom was out of order as told by staff "someone blew it up" and from another customer it was literally "poop" on the floor. That was the icing on the cake for me. We as customer's can do better to not be so messy but I also expect restaurants to take the time to clean. While the goal is to seat everyone quickly, I'm sure we all would have been fine waiting an additional 10 minutes to make the dining area a bit more presentable.

So I want to put this review in because I went to longhorn yesterday with a group from church and we were going to go to Fuji and she told me they changed at the last minute I was kind of disappointed because I wanted to go to Fuji LOL however when I say this location, the food, the service was absolutely amazing even though we had a few issues

So I normally love my ribeye I couldn't get it because of a toothache so I ordered the shrimp I think it's called Red Rock over rice I got brussel sprouts and sweet potato everything tasted amazing!

However next to me it was a group of 10 of us and everything she ordered from the salad to her entree was incorrect or it was a issue even with her food coming out after they fixed it and redid the food they actually forgot about the entree we had to keep reminding them about her entree everything about her order was a mess finally

The lady that was treating us saw a manager walking by and mentioned it to a very nicely the waiter however I think he might have been new or just not aware of what was going on because he should have offered her her meal for free!

I'm not one to always want to go get something free when something happens but this lady her experience was horrible with how everything kept happening he kept forgetting stuff however he was good and did well with everyone else this order

Now another lady that was with us she said her red body was tough it looked great to me I'm not sure how she ordered it

Back to the lady with all the issues sitting next to me that manager came right over and said hands down your order is free!

I should have gotten her name I probably will come back and edit and put the manager's name in here because that's how we're supposed to be done... And of course the lady and her husband who pay for everyone else and I left a $20 tip we tipped and I have thought about that experience so much

I'm going to be going back this week LOL taking my husband those brussels sprouts were so good, the sweet potato was cooked too perfection and better and I like mine a little bit browner when I say it was perfection! It was perfection! The shrimp over rice was amazing

the lady with the ribeye she also ordered a cheesecake with some type of caramel pecan or something on it she let everyone taste it the lady next to her actually ordered one to go that's how good it was

And because I had to make a dinner run on Monday which is today I will be going back to get that cheesecake!

So we had a few issues we spent some good money there and the service overall was excellent even with the issues they were taken care of I mean it was just beautiful thank you so much for these services and again I'll be back for lunch this week with my husband LOL I'm so glad they open early at 11:00...

Listen, I’ve had better dining experiences at a gas station sushi stand. Walking into LongHorn Steakhouse is like stepping into a time machine set to “1997 Cracker Barrel clearance sale.” The decor screams “we found a warehouse full of rusty spurs and sadness,” and the lighting is so dim I thought I was auditioning for a role in a low-budget Western. Ordered the 8oz sirloin, medium-rare. What arrived was a slab of meat so overcooked it could’ve doubled as a hockey puck at the local rink. I asked for medium-rare, not “cremate it until it begs for mercy.” The texture? Imagine gnawing on a boot that’s been left in a desert for a decade. I’m pretty sure my jaw filed for workers’ comp halfway through. The “seasoning” was just salt with a side of regret, and the mashed potatoes tasted like they were whipped with the tears of a line cook who knows they deserve better. The service? Oh, bless their hearts. Our server, Chad (of course his name was Chad), seemed to be practicing for the World Procrastination Championships. Took 15 minutes to get a water refill, and I’m pretty sure he was out back writing a novel instead of checking on us. When he finally showed up, he dropped the check like it was a hot potato and vanished faster than my hopes for a decent meal. The sides? The “loaded” baked potato was just a spud with a whisper of sour cream and a single bacon bit that looked like it was rationed during the Great Depression. The house salad was a bowl of lettuce so wilted it could’ve been a metaphor for my evening. And don’t get me started on the ambiance. The table next to us had a kid screaming like he was auditioning for a horror movie, and the sound system was blasting country music so twangy I started checking my shoes for hay. By the time we left, I felt like I’d aged 10 years and owed LongHorn an apology for expecting better. Save your money, folks. You’re better off grilling a burger in your backyard or just eating the $20 bill—it’ll have more flavor and better texture. LongHorn Steakhouse: where your appetite...

This restaurant really need to increase the quality of their whole operation, specifically the food. Just to give an example, here's a break down off my meal which consisted of appetizers. Hubby 's bacon cheeseburger and FF.

The cup of French onion soup, the bread in the soup soaked up practically half the soup. Especially, in a cup portion, you don't put bread in French onion soup. I don't know, perhaps they ran out of croutons? The salad consisted of 99% lettuce. I hate these types of salads. The spicy shrimp appetizer was greasy and undercooked. The supposedly parmesan cheese French fries was flavorless and soggy. The 4$ ear of corn had what was supposedly to be cheese, but instead had a sprinkling of some type a flavorless white substance on it. It was probably "a cheese by product."

My husband fared a little better with his meal. His bacon cheeseburger was flavorful, but again the the FF left a lot to be desired.

Finally, first hint we should have have left. The outside patio seating area was not clean. Evidently, a plant must have been blown off of a ledge because plant debris was all over the floor. And I guess non of the workers decided it was in their job description to ensure it was cleaned up.

After dinner and later on that night, our dinners definitely did not agree with our stomachs.

Over the years hubby and I have dined at this location, and every time the food and service had been lackluster to say the least. Now the Long horn at the independence location outshines Solon's. Maybe it's time for new management in Solon? It's expensive to eat out and to spend 60$ on a horrible meal is ludricous,...
