Taco Bell / KFC — Restaurant in Solon

We came in town by school bus for my son's tournament. We stayed at the nearby SpringHill Suites. After the tournament we walked to this Taco Bell, ready for some fun tacos and chalupas. To our dismay, the dining room wasn't open; it was for drive-through only. It was awkward but we walked up to the pickup window and tried to place our orders. The lady didn't answer the window for a long time. When she finally opened the window, she rudely told us the cars get the priority. She was so slow that while we waited, 2 cars bailed without ordering because of the long waiting. When we finally got to order, we had to change our options because they were out of certain ingredients. It was over 30 minutes in the cold when it was finally all said and done. It was a total nightmare.

The bad reviews says it all. Unfortunately we had ignored them because, how bad can an international fast food franchise be?! There are supposed to be standards for sourcing, procedures, and services for Taco Bell, no? Boy could we be more wrong! Neither the franchiser nor the franchisee have been doing their jobs. I had been looking for a KFC/Taco Bell since they closed the Tower City location. I finally found this one and was excited until I got to the speaker. While ordering, I was rudely interrupted by a woman who told me the wait for Extra Crispy would be 30mins and next time I should preorder before coming. I settled for the original 12 piece family meal. When I got to the window I was asking if I could add a cup of cheese and again the woman yelled above the drive thru worker to tell me there was no add ons and I’d have to go back through the DT since the inside is still closed. I was then told to pull into a parking spot so I would get off their timer. I wanted a refund but I knew my family was hungry so I waited for the food. What a surprise! The reviews weren’t the best so expectations weren’t high. It was fairly busy but the crew seemed to have a handle on the chaos! I placed my order with Brytnee and it was ready almost immediately! I’m really impressed with the speed of delivery. I ordered the Chalupa combo and a side of the apple pie poppers! My chalupas were great and so were the poppers. It took a little bit longer to get because they had to be placed in the fryer. The location is perfect and across the Hampton Inn- Solon and near other hotels and restaurants. I forgot to mention that this location was a co-branded outlet with KFC, so you get the best of both worlds! I hope your dining experience here is as good as mine was! The dining area was bussed regularly also by Brytnee and pretty clean compared to other restaurants!
