Upon arrival the room was clean. Plenty of clean towels and king need was comfortable. Pull out sofa was hard. The kitchette was very well stocked from utensils to pots.the pool area was clean and towels were provided. The bathroom lights were too dim so i had a harc time putting on my makeup. The water pressure was not great in room 216. My friend said her water pressure was low too. There is a washer and dryer in the hallway. Room looked neat. I did not use it. Gym area is very small. The lobby is beautiful with a doubled sided stone fireplace and a coffee/tea bar. The parking lot is across the street and next to the hotel there is a senior living center. There is a shopping mall less than a mile away. Service however was not up to par, our room was not cleaned on our 1st day there. They literally just went in and took 2 towels and didn't even replace them. My friends room was cleaned and their beds were made. Not even the trash was taken. The next day they did come in after we asked the house keeper to clean. The Rom was quiet but there were no mountain views or scenery if that's what youre looking for. from our room , 216 We were facing the road and a senior center and it was fine with us. It does have a fireplace. Breakfast was ok. Left much took be desired. The times ended early 9am on Thursday and 10 on Saturday too early for me anyways and we couldn't find a seating area so go down early if you are hoping to eat. Food ran out quickly and the wait time took too long- more than 20 minutes to restock bacon, eggs, and other items. They saud they onlt have 2 burners in the back. If you are looking for fresh breakfast this is not the place. There is a very small diner about a mile away with great sausage and good service. Stowe is like 40 minutes away. And Canada wa about 2 hours away. The reason why i rated them 2 stars is because we forgot a pillow and they said they didn't "find" it even though we know we left it there. We called twice and the receptionist said if we didn't get a call is because they didn't find it - a green king latex pillow totally diffrent than their pillows. Overall i would not return to this hotel and would not recommed to family and friends based off the strength that service was lacking and especially that they Are not trustworthy since my pillow is now missing. And just as an FYI this is a pet friendly hotel. I did not know this and i think most or all rooms are pet friendly. If you have allergies you might want to...
Read moreBe aware!! That was the worst experience for us in booking a hotel! I called to reserve a room on Thursday the 4th for one night, the lady (Jennifer) took my credit card info to reserve the room,, I told her that we will be paying cash when we arrive to avoid credit card fees between Canadian $ and USD, she said no problem. Then Thursday morning on arrival, they took my credit card again, i told them i already provided it on the phone they said no problem this is only an authorization (like any other hotel right!?) then next day when we checked out we payed cash. Amd we were not supposed to be charged nothing on the card. Then couple of days after, I was checking my credit card, and they charged me twice!! When i called to reserve then again when we checked in, they returned one time when we checked out, but the day before when we reserved they charged full amount. So basically they charged me 372$ when reserving and then when we checked out we paid another 372us$. I called to tell them(and I’m calling international now because we are not in usa) i explained and explained for the guy (his nam is shamar i think) he said no, we never charge you wjen you reserve, i told him it’s there on my credit card, after talking and talking he transferred me to his manager (surprise, Jennifer again!) who wasn’t helpful, she didn’t really care to figure out the problem, she said no we don’t charge you twice this is only an authorization, i told her it’s not only an authorization, it’s posted and charged on my credit card. She said call your bank, it’s not our mistake, i called the bank and they said that it’s the hotel who charged twice and i have to speak with hotel to try to find a solution first. So they are really a scammer, they don’t care about your information, they swiped your credit card left and right, and then let the client run after them to protect his/her rights. I thought i was going to have a nice stay at Burlington Vermont, but this hotel ruined our one night off. I have my receipt , and i have the prouve of my statement in the bank, i told jennifer that. And I got no results. I will definitely advise all my friends to be aware! ( beside of all the unnecessary charges that i got on crédit card because they charge amounts on and off , where it was supposed to be again all only authorization!!) i’m super disappointed with...
Read moreMy husband and I were on a spur of the moment vacation. We stayed from August 26 ,2024 to August 30, 2024. The room was great. Clean, great size, everything that was needed in the kitchen. Loved the lobby, fireplace sitting area, as well as the outside area, all very cozy and well maintained. Breakfast was also amazing. Coffee and tea were always available. Social hours were very nice, offering beer, wine, and appetizers. We didn't go to the pool, however, it appeared well kept as well as the exercise room. The hotel is in an excellent location. Now for the bad news. My husband and I were made to feel very uncomfortable by the hostess, whose name, we believe is Elaine. Every interaction, her unprofessional behavior, was quite obvious. Her interactions with all of the other guests were very much different than what we experienced. Actually, she avoided interacting with us completely when she could. On the one occasion, when it was unavoidable, she was not welcoming, didn't make eye contact, and made no attempt to make us feel welcomed. During social hours, she never greeted us. She cleared saucers and glasses from other guest tables but never from ours. I must add that although we did attend social hour from Tuesday to Thursday, on our last two visits, my husband felt so discouraged by her behavior that he avoided going to the bar so as not to have any direct contact with her. Needless to say, we were made to feel out of place and uncomfortable. To add insult to injury, we were the only people of color in attendance, in a place where it seemed most of the staff were also people of color. To sum up this whole unfortunate situation with this hostess, it is sad to say,, we actually felt discriminated against. This all being said, this really did put a damper on our vacatIn. On our first day here, we absolutely loved it, and had planned to make it our place to escape to. Sadly, our view changed...
