FRIGHTENINGLY DISGUSTING! I have stayed in hundreds upon hundreds of hotels in over 25 countries in my lifetime - from $5 a night backpacker hostels right up to $1000+ luxury hotels - and trust me when I say, this is by far the vilest place I have ever tried to stay. I was quoted $150 for the night online so I was expecting something relatively decent, and of course not high end - but I was utterly shocked by what greeted me when I opened the room door!
A pungent smell so strong, I immediately found it difficult to breathe. It literally went right through me to my core. I could feel it in my chest. When I looked at the carpet, the walls and the bedding, I could only imagine the smell was a mix of blood, semen, excrement, cigarettes, food, spilled drinks and every other vile bodily fluid one could imagine. The stains on the carpet were literally a mosaic of filth. The armchair looked like someone had been killed by multiple stabbings and then burnt while slumped upon it - I I wish I had taken a picture, but I couldn't bear to even step foot in the room. From afar, there were blood stains on top of the bed sheets, so I shudder to think what was beneath the covers.
The room overall is not fit for even your pets, let alone humans.
The long walk to the room, past shady onlookers was very unsettling, especially as I was given a room right at the end of the plot, which is a long walk to say the least.
I went to the front desk to complain and I was told that I would not be honoured a cancellation as I had "...stayed in the room for over an hour." I explained that I had gone to get food after checking in and have only now gone to the room, and I immediately came to the front desk after witnessing the travesty. The incredibly rude reception staff repeatedly, bluntly told me there's nothing she could do and that I would be charged the full amount. I complained and complained and then she supposedly called a manager and told me that I would have to raise the complaint with management the following morning. All this was taking place 8:30pm at night and I had a 12 hour flight to catch back home in the morning. I made it clear that I would not be leaving until I was given a full refund, and after further labouring my point, the rude receptionist told me she would 'help me' by returning my (refundable anyway) $100 deposit but would still be charging me a full night stay. What on earth this place charges a deposit for, I have no idea as there is nothing anybody could do that would make this place any worse - except maybe burn it down - and in fact that would also be doing the place a favour.
I stood my ground and my complaints caused other arriving guests to demand to see the rooms before checking in, which of course the rude receptionist refused, because nobody in their right mind would ever stay here if they realised that the pictures online are a truly fraudulent depiction of the property.
Only when my complaints (over 45 minutes!) caused further cancellations and loss of business, did the rude receptionist agree to not charge my card. She told me I would be refunded the entire amount. I had to take her word for it, and today - 30 days later, I have received a refund, and so I have been confident enough to write this review.
Honestly, I could go on, but the very memory of that evening is trauma in itself, let alone the physical ordeal I suffered.
I am not the complainer type of person, I actually tolerate quite a lot and am grateful that I even get to have a roof over my head, but truly, in this case, I would have been happier sleeping on a park bench. I am only writing this review in the hope that the management immediately shut down this hotel, stop robbing people of their money, whilst presenting very real health dangers to vulnerable public (I saw very old and frail people checking in too).
If you have a family, a pet, or any living organism you care about including yourself, do not check them into this sorry excuse of a hotel.

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding multiple unacceptable issues I encountered during my recent stay at your hotel from April 10th to April 13th.
Upon check-in on April 10th, I was informed at the front desk that a $100 deposit was required and must be paid by credit card — cash was not accepted. I complied, and shortly afterward received a credit card notification showing a $100 pre-authorization, which was expected.
However, on the second night of my stay, around midnight, I received another credit card alert indicating an additional $15 charge from your hotel. I immediately went to the front desk to inquire, but the staff checked the system and stated that there was no such charge. They even printed a document confirming that there was no transaction on file.
On April 13th, the day I checked out, I raised the issue again and also asked when the $100 deposit would be refunded. Without checking any system, the front desk staff dismissed my concerns, said they didn’t know, and told me the deposit would be returned within three days. They handed me a business card with a phone number to call the manager and told me to call only after 3 PM.
To my shock, that very afternoon, I received another notification of a separate charge — this time over $50 — again from your hotel. Feeling confused and concerned, I attempted to call the manager using the number I was given. I called over ten times, but no one answered. I then contacted my bank and temporarily froze my card due to suspected unauthorized activity.
What’s even more troubling is that although the $15 and $50+ charges were separate transactions, when I checked the details, they were strangely grouped with the $100 deposit. I waited the suggested three days to see if the deposit would be refunded and the issue corrected, but on April 16th, my bank confirmed that the total amount — over $175 — had been posted to my account. Nothing was refunded.
I called the hotel again and someone finally picked up. I asked if they were the manager — they confirmed they were — so I explained my situation in detail. Midway, they told me they were not the manager and transferred me to someone else. This level of dishonesty and lack of accountability was extremely frustrating. I told them if the issue wasn’t resolved, I would return to the hotel to file a police report. Only then did they begin to take my complaint seriously, asking for my room number and the last four digits of my card. After giving them the information, I was told: “I will return the money to you.”
When I asked for an explanation as to why the deposit was never refunded and why there were additional charges, they refused to explain and abruptly ended the call after saying, “It’s refunded now.” This level of unprofessionalism is disgraceful and unacceptable.
In addition to the financial issues, the service throughout my stay was deeply disappointing. On my second day, I asked if my room could be cleaned. The front desk told me that housekeeping is only provided every four days. As a first-time visitor to the U.S., I wasn’t sure if this was standard practice, but it seemed odd — especially compared to other countries where room cleaning is available upon request and fresh toiletries are provided daily.
The staff also told me that clean towels would be delivered daily. I waited in my room, but none arrived. When I went back to the front desk that evening, they told me they had run out of towels. I was shocked — how can a hotel of your size run out of basic items like towels? Only after I expressed my confusion did the staff call housekeeping to send some up to my room.
Altogether, this stay has been one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had — not only because of the unauthorized charges and delay in refunding my deposit, but also because of the poor service and dismissive attitude...
Read moreWe had the misfortune of checking into this motel after a 13 hour flight from Barcelona Spain. Our experience did not get off to a great start. Upon clearing customs we proceeded curbside and I attempted to call the hotel front desk to see where the shuttle picks up passengers and they never answered. The automated shuttle information also does not provide any useful information on pickup locations. As a result I got ready to summon an Uber and proceeded to the upper level. I managed to find the shuttle before the Uber ride was processed via sheer luck and was able to avoid that fee.
Once we got to the hotel we were greeted by a old property which in itself does not bother us. The check in process was painfully slow and they were apparently having printer problems that afternoon. Once checked in we proceeded to our room and were greeted by a series of old rundown buildings. I noted that window screens were held on by screws to the front of some rooms and and property gave the overall general impression of disrepair.
Once in our room we found a old room in need of serious renovations. The air conditioner rattled extremely loud, and the shower was nearly impossible to turn on and off, it required a ton of pushing or pulling. The general condition of the room was also extremely poor, with black mold in the shower, water damage on the woodwork next to the shower, as well as a mystery stain under the bathroom skin. The A/C unit had been replaced at some point in the rooms life and they appear to have used cardboard to seal the hole as the old unit was bigger. The only highlight of the room was the big flat screen TV which also had a really good picture. We were able to enjoy some TV that night and the beds were comfortable.
We also made the mistake of having dinner at the onsite iHop. It was very overpriced for what we received but I understand that is not the hotels fault. The walk back to the room after dinner was scary. The smell of weed is present throughout the property and we noted people just hanging around outside, both outside the ihop and the hotel rooms as well as some rooms being open the whole time we had been on property. Needless to say we did not exit our room after dark as the overall property gave extremely unsafe vibes.
Overall we regret staying at this motel and if we had not just come off a long haul flight would have found a different location even if we had to eat the cost of the night. The housekeeping staff does a good job although we had a complete lack of towels. But we had a comfortable nights stay and did not get bed bugs or notice any bugs in the room and the floor was clean. We got woken up at 7AM the next day by around 30 minutes of car alarm but again that is not the hotels fault. Please if you need to stay near SFO try to find a different location, if you must stay here I would recommend not heading out of your room after dark. It worked fine for a quick nights crash and overnight layover but I would not...
