Hotel doesn't accept cash for their merchandise purchases. They're not obligated to but it still can be annoying, just a heads-up! Had to relocate rooms twice! Non-smoking room 118 smelled highly of smokers. Right hallway of floor two smelled like pot. Floors are hollow, probably could hear your upstairs neighbors if you're staying on the first floor. Walls are thin, I listened to kids screaming next door and people running up and down the hallways- cars peeling tires outside. The bath stopper was broken upon arrival, you have to tinker with it to plug the tub. The caulk is also basically gone and broken. Heads-up, the shower head is not detachable. Water or shampoo, one of those instantly turned my hair into a dry rat's nest. Door kneecaps whoever is sitting on the toilet. Don't stub your toes on the oversized pallets that the bed is laying on. AC vent was full of dust. Despite the innovative locks on the main door, I still felt too uneasy to sleep well. I stared at the connecting door, it looked like it could be popped open. Our Do-Not-Disturb card was stolen from our door knob on our second night. I felt like the hotel was taking advantage of their location right across from the aquarium, and thus allowing to let some quality issues slide. Complimentary breakfast was maintained. The bottom of my doughy biscuit was hard as a rock (I probably picked a bad biscuit, the other ones felt fine). The thin bacon was almost burnt, and the gravy was as usual. They offer, in order, biscuits, sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, bacon (turkey upon request), scrambled eggs, boxes of honey cheerios, raisin bran, frootloops, cinnamon toast crunch, and Quaker Instant oatmeals (apple/cinnamon and maple/brown sugar). Then it's cold water, 2% milk, orange juice (ocean spray), apple juice (ocean spray), yogurts (dannon peach, yoplait strawberry, yoplait blueberry), hot water, hot decaf, hot coffee, creamers (half/half, vanilla, hazelnut), tea mixes (black, earl grey, green), and hot chocolate mixes. Finally it's blueberry syrup, regular syrup, an automatic pancake maker, packets of jelly (strawberry, mixed, grape), butter, picante, peanut butter, and honey. Fruits like oranges, apples, bananas, then an automatic toaster oven with plain bagels, and bread (also cream cheese spread). They have salt/pepper on each table, booster seats available, two TVs (one playing Fox and one playing the weather channel). Place was constantly kept clean. It was a separate room locked after breakfast, so grab any thing you want to snack on later. The complimentary gummy worms were nice.

This motel isn't bad but considering Springfield is headquarters for Bass Pro, one would figure that the motel would be better. Pros: The staff was awesome. Everyone we spoke with was amazing. The room was clean and the beds were good. There breakfast setup was good. You get a breakfast menu for each day you're there and you mark what you want and they bring it to you. Easy enough. Pool area was clean. The free gummy worms are a nice touch. Cons: I felt bad for the staff because they was no way they could enforce the mask ordinance with as few of staff on-hand. Most of the people staying at the motel did not wear masks which was quite disturbing as there are signs posted everywhere about the mask ordinance. The shower head in our shower was yellow. I haven't seen one of these shower heads since the late 80's when I was a kid. For a refinished bathroom, you might think they would have changed out the shower head to something a little nicer. For what little bit of TV viewing we did, I think we were able to get 4 channels out of what they have listed. So Bass Pro really wants you to get the cabin feel of the room. :) Sunday evening, we all went to the pool area. The hot tub was not hot at all. I asked the front desk person if the hot tub was not working. I was told that the hot tub has recently emptied and refilled so it takes a while to warm up. "Just for noting, hot tubs take 4 hours to get hot after refilling" There was no signs or nor did we see the hot tub get drained and refilled for the times we were in the lobby area. My last complaint is about the pricing for the "Deal" to bundle your stay will and get tickets to the Wonders of Wildlife Museum and Aquarium. It was cheaper for us to pay for everything separate than to take the deal on the website. I saved $40 doing this. Someone in your marketing department needs to fix this or if people are not smart enough to do the math, then make your extra money Bass Pro.

Final Thoughts - To me, it felt like Bass Pro bought an existing motel and tried to make it look like a cabin. Hanging picture of the outdoors, animals, etc does it make that feel like a cabin. The Memphis bass pro hotel to...

I will never stay here again & would not recommend it to anyone I know. Sadly, we were so excited to stay here & it was dissapointing. When we arrived our room that we had booked a week ahead of time was not ready which really was not a big deal. They gave us another room which was fine until we walked in. It smelled like cigarette smoke/musky. I sat our suitcase on the bed & went to use the bathroom & there were clumps of hair in the floor, hair on the toilet & in the shower. It was disgusting! I immediately called down to the front desk & was told that they would send someone right away to our room. Two hours went by & no one. We also had a toddler & I didn't even want her walking around in our room because the floors were so dirty. I walked down to the front desk & told them again about the hair in the floor I even showed them pictures I had taken with my phone & told them about the smell in our room. They immediately came to our room with a vacuum & deoderizer. We sat on the bed while the lady cleaned the floors. She apologized & was very nice. She left & I go into the bathroom & there was still hair on the toilet & in the shower! I ended up cleaning it myself! Later that evening we decided to walk down to the pool area to relax & it was so small that we couldn't even swim as there were only about 10 people in it. We spent $442 to stay for 2 nights! The only great thing here was that they had a wonderful breakfast & there was a very sweet lady that was in there cleaning up. We had them to include our tickets to the Wonders of Life Museum to get $5 off. I would have rather stayed somehwere else & gladly paid full price for the 3 tickets that we purchased with them! We will not stay here ever again. We were not even offered a discount for all the trouble & to me that not good business. We paid a lot of money...
