SERVICE & CHECKIN Stylish hospitality staff & a Free early-checkin policy always win me over. The actual checkin process has room to grown in terms of speed & efficiency. My impression was still favorable due to how earnest everyone was + the friendly banter. No late checkout offered sadly.
LOBBY, ELEVATOR, CORRIDORS Cozy Cabin vibes ❤️. I like the decor a lot: intimate, quaint, & charming. Their toasty lobby fireplace was a much needed treat. Such a great aesthetic.
ROOM https://youtu.be/gZ17cRkdPRs Fresh, clean, & unbelievably aromatic. This Double had generous dimension & was decorated with amazing stock. The curated vibe was consistent from entrance to room, enhanced by the tranquil wall art. Strong on design & strong on function with sliding windows, ergonomic rolling chair, a large natural wood desk, and really good lighting. Beautiful.
BED A comfortable double queen configuration. All the making of a great winter sleep experience: extra pillows with a good fill, polyester linens to preserve heat, & a Serta mattress Very restful.
BATH Nice aesthetic and fixtures but embarrassingly thin towels; also on the smaller side Its a smaller space too but otherwise, this bathroom was a hit: Strong exhaust, crazy-good water pressure, contemporary washbasin & eye-catching backsplash along the vanity. The shower was a traditional combination alcove-- no frills. House brand toiletries are provided but BYOB for this one.
TV & ENTERTAINMENT Dated. ~30" SD Panasonic TV. Quality is sufficient, just a lower resolution than normal. The biggest pain point is the remote choice: it can be a chore to get a signal to register.
WI-FI & CELL RECEPTION Rough... Very Low wifi bandwidth. Cell (Verizon) reception is in the boonies💔 --Performance-- Video streaming - bad Online gaming - poor Video chatting - poor --Nerd Stats-- 4-6 Mbps download 2-3 Mbps upload 0.3% packet loss 30 ms latency 89 ms jitter
FOOD & DRINK 6-9 breakfast & DoorDash friendly. Microwave, small mini fridge, & Cuisinart mini coffee bar provided in-room. Vending machines are onsite (behind stairway).
NOISE Quiet as a mouse.
VERDICT Awesome property & staff. The Wifi situation isn't suitable for remote work & you can forget about tethering. Still, it was a treat to stay here & highly...
Read moreI booked four rooms for my family, all under my name. My uncle and his wife arrived first. They were told that since the rooms weren't notated they weren't allowed to check in. As my 70 year old uncle was leaving the front desk associate called her manager and over road the check in. Once we arrived we quickly found out my aunt and uncle got the double room that was booked. We had my high spectrum autistic nephew with us and needed a second bed for him. After threatening to cancel all of our reservations she finally got us checked into a room with two beds. Then checked in my second nephew into the third room. The next morning the manager apologized for the complicated check in. For dinner everyone wanted to get together have pizza and enjoy the special opportunity to hang out. After ordering pizza my wife realized she never added plates to our order. She went down stairs to ask for plates, where she was quickly encountered with the front desk associate from the previous day. When she asked for plates the girl brought her 5 exactly. When she asked for a few more because all of us were in the room the associate told my wife it was not allowed and they all had to leave. That there are only allowed to be 5 in a room at all times. Frustrated my wife just walked away, she only wanted my family to have a good weekend. While I was calming her down the front desk called to let us know our pizza arrived. She then argued with me about The maximum occupancy of the room. I informed her that no where in the room stated maximum occupancy of five people, that everyone has their own room and they are just eating pizza. I then returned back to my family. The next day the manager once again apologized for our evening. We have an autistic daughter, and nephew. We understand their special circumstances, and understand that the associate is also autistic. We commend your company for hiring her, but working alone on 2nd shift has shown to be more than she can handle. I strongly recommend a different shift for the woman instead of the manager going out of her way to fix the disgruntled customers...
Read moreCheck in went OK other than the sigh from the clerk when i had to pause and add money to my card not expecting to pay full up front (my fault for being used to just an incidental hold until check out). That sigh was unnecessary and embarrassing in front of the people behind us. The room cleanliness was.... ok. Carpets looked worn which I didn't expect . The room itself was also OK. Cold water the first night when bath was ran but seemed to only happen that night fortunately. Well stocked on towels was nice. The beds were well made up with plenty of pillows but surprisingly uncomfortable. The fridge was difficult to put leftover boxes in with no bottom shelf. The pool was very good and the area cleaned. Breakfast was also very good and kept well stocked. The only not good was the cold coffee in the dispensers. Snack machine wouldn't take a five so i asked the desk for change. Night shift informed me they had no money to be able to do change. Very disappointing and a bit confusing how they were "left with no money" by day shift. The parking area was OK... the driveway in, the Only driveway in, was horrible and pothole filled! You can only enter by driving though the vacant lot in front where there's an empty building. Overall I can't rate past 3. As frequent travelers we were ask pretty disappointed. And the massive upcharge for weekend nights is ridiculously high (our rate jumped almost 40......
