Sun 'n Sand Motel — Hotel in Stone Harbor

My husband and I were in town for a weekend wedding in Avalon. We booked a room here because the reviews promised a quaint, quiet, convenient location and that's what we got. We had a 2-bedroom suite on the end (#8). ||||Our check-in was smooth and I had asked for extra towels ahead of arrival and they were there in our unit. The unit was extremely clean and had every amenity that we needed. It was very cozy and cottagey and, despite being an older building, it had the amenities that we needed. Specifically, there were plenty of accessible chargers, USB ports, and plugs throughout. The kitchen was well-stocked. The beds were comfy. There were window AC units and they worked fine. ||||The location was great. It was in a neighborhood on a side street that didn't have a ton of traffic. It was very walkable to shops, restaurants, bars and the beach. Very walkable with nice sidewalks in a nice neighborhood. We were able to park outside of our room. While we did not use them, there was a grill and picnic table onsite and beach chairs for $5/day. ||||We really enjoyed our short stay here and if we do return to the area, we would definitely...

The Sun 'N' Sand Motel was everything we thought and more. My spouse and I stayed in a one-bedroom room for the week which although was small, it was very quaint and we were both thrilled with it. The cost was really low compared to other motels in the area. A small fridge was in the room but no microwave which suited us just fine. We brought our own coffee maker. Jon the owner is hands-on and willingly saw to our every need. He is an old-school owner/person, a very personable and genuine man. We asked the front desk attendant about bicycle rentals. She let us borrow two bicycles there for an hour to see if we were interested which was very kind of her. She told us if we were interested in renting that there are numerous bike rental places nearby as I don't think they actually rent them at this motel. Parking is free with the beach about 2 blocks away. No doubt that we will be staying here again. The motel does have a few rooms with two bedrooms but we did not have time to check them out. Book directly through the motel! Wish I would have booked it directly the first time but now I know about this lovely little motel that I found through hotels.com. If you don't already know, Stone Harbor is a beautiful Shore town. It's all the things you want it to be safe, clean and beautiful! This adorable Sun N Sand Motel compliments this town perfectly. It was a last minute booking for a wedding that my family and I was attending at the Reeds. We didn't want to drive an hour back home after the wedding so I booked the two-bedroom apartment #8. It was perfect for me and my adult children. The apartment had everything we could possibly need for an Extended Stay, although we were only there for a night. It was very comfortable and clean. This particular apartment has a full size refrigerator. We were able to walk back and forth to town and to the beach easily. I'm so glad we found this place and look forward to the next time I stay in Stone Harbor because it will be here.
