As we pulled up to the rental location, two men emerged from the storefront to welcome us. Their smiles were friendly, but as they spoke about the bikes, it became clear that their knowledge and understanding of them was limited. We brushed off their lack of expertise, assuming they were simply new hires filling in for the owners who were away.
As I began unloading our vehicle, one of the men made his way over and casually opened the back door of my SUV without asking. He reached inside, seemingly eager to interact with my toddler twins, but I quickly stepped in and closed the door before he could make contact. When I went back to retrieve something from the trunk, he once again opened the door and reached for my children. This time, I sternly told him to step back and kept my twins close to myself and my spouse.
Throughout our interactions with this particular man, he continuously positioned himself between myself and my teenage son, almost as if trying to create a barrier between a parent and their child. It was alarming and unsettling that an employee of any business would go out of their way to separate family members.
Unfortunately, our experience at Bigfoot Rentals did not end on a positive note. During our bike ride, my spouse had an accident while riding an e-bike. They sustained multiple injuries including a head injury and deep cuts that required medical attention. When we returned the bike and informed the staff about the suspected cause of the accident (randomly jumping from first to fifth gears), we politely requested that they have a mechanic inspect it before renting it out again. We left the location on a seemingly friendly note and reassured them we did not hold them responsible and accidents happen.
While we were attending to my spouse's injuries at a nearby location, the owner of Bigfoot Rentals called us. Instead of expressing concern for our well-being or asking if everyone was okay, she immediately launched into a defensive explanation about how it couldn't have been their fault and made excuses, including criticizing lack of safety equipment even though we were told helmets were only available for our minors. We ended the call because it is never acceptable for a business to attack their customers in such a manner, especially while under medical care.
Initially, I was hesitant to write this review because I always try to see the best in people and give them the benefit of the doubt. But upon reflection, I feel that other potential customers, especially parents with young children, need to be aware of the concerning business practices happening at Bigfoot Rentals. Please exercise caution and do not allow your children near their staff unless you are physically holding onto them. It is never acceptable for someone to access your vehicle without permission or disregard boundaries...

Read moreI wanted to say thank you for providing some of the best memories I have had with my daughters and grandsons on your bikes. I love how you guys have adopted special needs men and made them family and provided a safe place for them to thrive. Once you realize that your oldest man is 90 percent deaf with an obvious brain injury,it's easy to let him explain in detail how the bikes work. He is actually the most thorough person who is obviously incapable of telling or embellishing anything. Which makes it an honor that I lost my job as door greeter at Church with him. I wanted you to know that all of my daughters where raised down there and they are all quiet the world travelers but they will all say in unison with all of my grandsons , " Best 4hrs ever!" They want to make it a regular event over everything else. Pulling the twins in in the carts actually beats out my motorcycle. They tell everyone the same. It's refreshing to know real people with small town values and who put all their faith in following Yeshua. Keep doing what God of Abraham has called you to do. I know we will be visiting Bigfoot from here on out. Nowhere else can you have this much fun for entire family for next to nothing. By the way it was amazing how much our German Shepherd like Steve watching over her. She acted like she was at home at your place. That...
