Moon Tea is my best kept secret and go-to milk tea places every time I craze for real, simple yet bold teas! There are plenty of parkings around and you can park at visitor spots inside the garage if necessary. Itâs convenient located at the corner of El Camino Real and Pastoria Rd, a cute corner tea shop with plenty of outdoor seatings. You can easily come here, grab one or two of their freshly crafted teas, an authentic regional snacks such as their stinky tofu (my favorite!) and cold noodles, and enjoy a simple yet satisfying lunch! Make sure to come early in the weekend because the line tends to be long.
My usual orders are Osmanthus, Lychee and Peach Oolong milk teas. The teas are strong, flavorful and paired so well with their cream, making it go smoothly down with every sip and leaving a lasting enjoyable after taste. Every single friend and family I recommended here becomes addicted to the tea here. Some of them even drive 5-6 times a week from San Jose just to grab the milk teas here. Youâve been warned LOL!
They occasionally give out freebies such as fans and tote bags. The fans are well structured and of high quality. If you order online and come to pick up, it may be faster but the price is higher than when you come and order at the store ($6 vs $5). There is an ordering machine conveniently located by the entrance and very user friendly.
This store of pet friendly too if you want to bring your fur babies with you for...
Read moreMoon Tea is an authentic Chinese tea place with delicious Hunan street food.
Starting with drinks, I got the Da Hong Pao Milk Tea which had a STRONG tea flavor with 50% sugar. Though it had a really strong tea flavor it was still pretty creamy as it was a milk tea that had delicious sweet whipped cream on top. The salted pistachios complemented the sweet whipped cream perfectly. It was a delicious beverage and a nice alternative to the typical overly sweet tea with pearls.
I also got the Changsha Fried Sausage and that was some QUALITY meat. It was on a stick and it had been fried so it had some crispiness to it, but it was mostly really fatty and savory.
OVERALL, Moon Tea was a nice alternative to typical tea and boba joints which had little to no tea flavor in their beverages and were overly sweet. Moon Tea finished orders very fast but the one Dow for me was that the prices were exorbitant. Just a drink and a tiny piece of sausage became $13 with tip which is a little much in my opinion. Overall, if you want a change of in your typical tea joints then Moon Tea is the place to try with a prime location on El...
Read moreThis is the 3rd time we've gone and I've ordered a drink that has Boba ( Four Season Tea Milk with Crystal Boba that is in your menu/ see the photo) however it doesn't come with it . I asked the girl at the counter and she told me they don't have them anymore . They should post a notice that there is no boba and lower the price since they continue to charge this drink at the same price. I don't know what's wrong with this place, which has also dropped in quality in the presentation of its drinks enormously. They no longer have the beautiful flower cup that they originally had and now they only offer them as shown in the photo. The drink was good but I recommend that you put ice in it, because if you can drink it with less ice, you won't put as much tea in it and it will be more watered down, I suppose it is because not having ice means that the product decreases in quantity and for this reason they will put more water. In conclusion no boba, no original cups and...
