Finally, a nice place to stay in Tecumseh!
The room was very clean, and I felt safe there. The door locked solidly, but a deadbolt would have been a nice touch. The neighborhood was quiet, so I felt no real reason to be concerned. The bed was clean and comfortable. The room had satellite TV, a mini-fridge, microwave, working A/C, chair, table, and clean, hot and cold water. Everything worked. There was no phone or WIFI, but seriously - how many people don't have a cellphone these days to handle that?
The management is, as a previous reviewer said, down-to-earth. I dealt with Jerry, and he was an easy-going and accommodating host. On my arrival, he explained how the cleaning deposit worked and the zero tolerance for marijuana (which I really appreciated, since I'm not a fan myself). Really, top-notch customer service was given; they graciously agreed to accept and sign for a FedEx delivery of a medication that I needed urgently, and called me immediately when it arrived. Also, they also allowed me to check in much earlier in the day than they normally do. I appreciated their kindness (thanks, Jerry)! Class act all the way.
They're obviously continually making improvements. While I was there, they had the parking lot completely re-surfaced and painted, and I saw men working on other rooms (painting and such).
This isn't a Marriott or Hilton, so don't have unrealistic expectations. Things are, honestly, pretty simple; and for the cost, that's fine. What made it not quite Marriott or Hilton Status? Like I said, think simple... No coffee maker, just one bath towel, one wash cloth, and one hand towel. No soap or shampoo, and no cups. But seriously - again - MANAGE YOUR EXPECTATIONS - it's not a Hilton. I had what I needed in my luggage, so I was prepared.
The Range Motel is a clean, quiet, place to stay, and an excellent value. It has old-world charm, and they're clearly making it better and better! I look forward to another stay when I travel from Montana to see my dad. You're a credit to the town...
Read moreRoom was clean and had all the basics - bed, tv, microwave, mini frig, bathroom with walk in shower with hot water and good water pressure. The AC was having a hard time keeping it cool with the high temps and humidity but it was good enough to sleep. Bed was very firm. We were in a single room and had to get 2 roll aways and they were very firm. Cinder block walls so no outside or neighbor noises. 10 min drive to CPN Grounds and Activities. FYI: if you go during the CPN Pow Wow weekend be sure to get checked in before 10pm that's when the office closes. We arrived later then that and the gentleman who was at the front desk was very polite but our room had been given away (we booked a double but ended up with a single hence the 2 roll aways) he apologized profusely and did his best to get us extra bedding, towels, pillows and the 2 roll aways. Between all his help and our creativity we made it work. Other then that little hiccup - we liked our room and our stay there. Next time we come down we will stay there again (hopefully in the...
Read moreBooked a room for a week, beds/mattresses old and uncomfortable, along with pillows. Curtain looking outside had a hole cut in it, as if someone was hiding out from law enforcement and worried about being raided. Hot water in shower didn't work (knob didn't turn) the motel worker fixed it but then it kept dripping continuously, keeping me from sleeping. I was switched into another room. Plastic cups in bathroom were wrapped up in plastic but were all soapy inside for some reason. Manager confronted me about a misunderstanding I had with the motel clerk. I explained over and over again that I actually took it upon myself to apologize to the clerk two to three times right after the misunderstanding happened. He acted like he wasn't convinced, and why was the clerk whining to him about me if I sincerely apologized, he acted as if I threatened him or something, which of course I did not. NO wifi in offered, despite the fact that rates are comparible to a days inn or motel 6, which...
