Today my mom had asked me to take her to the drive thru so she could get cigarettes. I’m driving my dad is in the passenger seat and my mom is in the back seat on driver side. I pull up so my mom can tell the cashier what cigarettes she wants and so she can pay for her purchase thinking it’s just easier that way. Well I thought wrong the cashier couldn’t sell her the cigarettes until I gave her my ID since I was driving. That is a policy they have. This is a satellite store of the 'big' Firelake located on Gordon Cooper Drive. It serves our small town pretty well. While they don't carry everything the main store has, they do carry a pretty good selection of the kitchen and household staples you might need. The employees are generally friendly and helpful. The prices are in line with the main store. The only thing you don't get here that you do at the main store is to use your Perks card to earn points on your purchases. The people who work the smoke shop are nice. A year or 2 ago I went in for cheese and there was NONE, but there were hundreds of dead flies where the cheese should have been. My biggest problem with the store is the potholes at the entrance side on Walnut/hwy 9. I sent an email and the manager told me that is the city's problem to fix.
